Saddened that his monkeys didn't last but a minute against the giant gnoll, Tarak shuffles forward a few steps and tosses a ball of elemental cold at the Carrion King, hoping to distract the beast from the paralyzed gnasher. Foolish as that idea would be.

ll power (Though with those rolls, methinks he would have failed even if it had been a fort save).

Urah tries the dusty trick again, covering Ghartok who blinks in astonisment as all he can see is glitter, glitter, and more glitter.

DC 16 Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Malgrim finally misses something and the priest narrowly avoids a watery demise. Tarak also misses, though it was a very, very close thing.

@Urah
You could also cover the priest with the spread I have shown on the map, though you would also get Gnasher in the area. It might be worth it since the priest is poised to CDG him. Up to you guys. The priest likely has a better save than Gnasher, but then again Gnasher is paralyzed anyway, then again he could stay blind for a long time and the hold person is bound to end soon. If you decide to get them all I'll add a ST. Pausing for a moment to see if you all think it worth the risk. Note: Hold person has a 1 round/level duration and it has been three rounds of paralysis.

Urash dusts everybody for a good measure once more and he moves cautiously to flank the priest attacking Gnasher, hoping to forestall him.

Dust everybody and move in.
Quarterstaff in hand.

Urah makes up his mind to go big but will it work?

will st priest: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

No. The priest is pretty much unaffected by the dust, which is unfortunate since ...

target 1 Urah, 2 Gnasher: 1d2 ⇒ 2

... he is not interested in the squishy sorcerer when he has a paralyzed hulking brute of a gnoll to attack. Ignoring Urah he executes a coup de grace.

damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 1) + 4 = 8
crit damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (2, 2) + 4 = 8

Gnasher takes 16 points of damage and has to make a DC 26 fort save or die. Urah may take an attack of opportunity on him.

Ghartok, figuring he is blind anyway, casts a spell on himself and then recovers his sight.

DC 16 spellcraft:

Feeling the glitterdust fall on him as he regained control of his body, Gnasher lookw at the gnoll that attacked him, which the normally skittish Urah bravely grappled. Realizing Urah's gnoll may be the lesser of two evils, Gnasher steps back; plading himself between the Carrion King and the rest of his tribe.

Will save 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 lol

Urah goes Meeps and fleds!!!

Here the long practice of running away can be seen....

And then there were two. Looks like Tarak just became the front-liner.

Will Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Malgrim shrugs away the fierce sound as he sends another bolt of powerful water at the creature. He then shifts further back from the large creature.

Made the save, Gather Power, Empower, Blast!

Water Blast w/Elemental Overflow , PBS : 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 1 + 2 = 16

Damage, B, Water Blast w/Elemental Overflow , PBS: 3d6 + 9 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1, 4, 2) + 9 + 4 + 1 = 21

I think that will miss sadly.

That was pretty sad. On the bright side I decided to do the fear effect like cause fear and roll a d4 for the number of rounds.

Gnasher rounds: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Urah rounds: 1d4 ⇒ 4
How appropo.

To hit axe: 1d20 + 15 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 15 + 1 = 31
damage: 2d6 + 16 + 1 ⇒ (4, 5) + 16 + 1 = 26

To hit axe, iterative: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 10 + 1 = 25
damage: 2d6 + 16 + 1 ⇒ (3, 4) + 16 + 1 = 24

To hit bite: 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 11 + 1 = 18
damage: 2d6 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (3, 6) + 5 + 1 = 15

Tarak takes a beating to the tune of 56 points of damage as both swings with the axe connect and falls helplessly to the ground, dead (unless there is something I'm missing or you can do about it). Gnasher recovers his wits and realizes his front and back are facing the wrong directions.

Running across the entry chamber, Gnasher realizes that, even though the Carrion King is scary, he's not scarier than Gnasher. Screeching to a halt, Gnasher turns and begins to rage. His paws grow into overly large claws, his eyes glow red, his fangs enlarge and he begins to froth at the mouth. While his brown hide takes on a red-orange cast to it, giving a peculiar laugh. He turns seeing Tarak go down. Moving back towards the Carrion King at speed, Gnasher draws the magical great axe he'd taken from the dead Jinn. Holding it up so the Carrion King could see he carried the weapon of the 'kings' dead servant. Gnasher bellows in Gnoll. "என்னுடன் சண்டையிடுங்கள்." Fight me.

Tarak instantly regrets stepping up to the giant beast as its axe falls the first time, and blacks out before he gets a chance to regret the second blow. As he collapses he is once again surrounded by darkness lit by occasional, and ever increasing flashes of lightning in the distance.

Ghartok looks almost ready to take the bait but pretty much all the damage he has taken has come from Malgrim, so off he goes. With a roar he gets a wild look in his enormous eyes, blood and sweat dripping down his torn up, electrically fried body. He moves a bit and stomps on Tarak's body, as if making a statement and attacks Malgrim.

Fustrated that Ghartok did not respond to his challenge, Gnasher's eyes widen as the Carrion King stomps on the downed Tarrak. Bellowing "Coward!" Ganasher rambles forward, lifting the axe high.
