I think we are all go to move forward then. Jang, can you post your chronicles stuff when you get the chance?
I am going to make my gameplay post shortly!
Aldar Latharian |
Made some small edits to my PC before he really rolls anything since he is all GM credit and I dont want to lock him in with something I wont like. Only thing that really changes is my profession check and his gold.

LoreMaster GM |
This upcoming week will be pretty crazy for me. It is exam week, I have a lot of work to do on my thesis, I graduate next weekend, and I am moving to a different state that weekend. I am still planning to keep my x2 minimum posting but that might not happen everyday.
Cortland |
Just do what you can LoreMaster and good luck with the exam and congratz on graduating. I never graduated from university. I was asked to leave my university :( Stupid things you do when you are young.
Jangafzaar Kargar |
Please don’t worry about us!! Ace those exams!! :-)
Gorak 'The Touched' |
I think items on chronicle sheets in pathfinder are pretty worthless, unless you are playing core (where you can get access to non-core things).
They don't change the cost of anything that you purchase. If its an item that you can't buy because of fame- its unlikely you have the gold to buy it. If you have the gold to buy it, you likely have the fame needed to buy it right off.
Perhaps in the early days where you are limited to less than 2000 or 4000 gp- but otherwise I almost never pay attention to items i have "available"
Vinnie Bandar |
Whew, sounds like you've got a lot on your plate, GM! Don't worry about us and know that we'll be ready and waiting when things settle down for you. No rush!
LoreMaster GM |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Hey guys. Sorry for the delay! I am moved in and everything is good. I am hoping to get back into a normal post schedule now. I am going to start working on my next post now, but I might get interrupted before I finish. Regardless, the post will be up tonight at the latest.
Thank you for being patient!
Jangafzaar Kargar |
Really take your time!! ;-)
LoreMaster GM |
Thanks! I might be at 1 post a day this week. I am helping my step father with a roofing job since I don't have a job lined up yet and I forgot how exhausting work that is haha but you will get at least 1 a day.
I think I will give PF2 a try when it comes out. The playtest was a mixed bag for me. Lots of things I liked and didn't so I figured I will try it out.
Cortland |
I only got to play 1 Playtest game. I enjoyed it but I am also curious how the finished product will look. I have both the Bestiary and the CRB on pre-order so we will see soon enough.
Vinnie Bandar |
I'm going to miss PF1 (I'll keep playing it as long as possible, but I'm skeptical about how much staying power it will have at least in our local venues, though I think PbP will go strong for awhile) but I'm hoping that PF2 really hits it out of the park and people play it more because they like it more. When I started playing PF1 here (Atlanta) we had a really thriving scene - tons of players and tables and venues - and now it is slowly but surely withering, so I'm hopeful that PF2 can inject some new life. I haven't tried D&D 5, but from what I've heard I think I like the PF model a lot better so I hope it can recapture people's interest.
Gorak 'The Touched' |
I struggled with a lot of the balance issues in PF2. I played a couple of characters and I never really thought there was much class variation. Some of the gameplay flowed well, others didnt.
5E, on the otherhand, is an excellent system. It does a great job of getting the game mechanics out of the way of the story- allowing for easy rules adjudication and resolution. They also did a good job of finding ways to keep the classes very different and unique while pulling back on the overall character power.
PF2 on the otherhand didn't seem to flow as well as 5E, and the classes all felt functionally the same. There wasn't much to differentiate or customize- everything was just vanilla. Everyone rolled basically the same to hit. Everyone rolled basically the same damage. It just felt... flat.
Vinnie Bandar |
Fyi, traveling until Sunday night and I forgot my charger. May or may not be able to post. Please bot me as needed.
LoreMaster GM |
Hey guys, I am finding it harder and harder to find time to post since I moved. I plan to finish this adventure out ith doing my best to post once a day (but may have a bit of a delay some days) but I think this will be my last game for awhile. If I can get back to a consistant scheudle, I might work on getting back in to PBP but for now, this seems to be a hobby I will need to pull back from. I am sorry.
As I said, I will finish this one just please bare with me if I miss a day or two. I am sorry for this guys. It has been really enjoyable playing with you all .
Jangafzaar Kargar |
Really do not worry! A game should never be a burden but a fun experience! :-)
What about the others? We have not really done much so we could also abort the game here so LoreMaster can relax and one of us continues GMing? I would volunteer to GM the next game.
LoreMaster GM |
I don't mind finishing this out. I have slowly weened it down that this is one of my two current games. I can finish this one out as long as you don't mind the slow pace.
Vinnie Bandar |
I don't mind a slow pace at all - I've got a lot going on as well these days.
Jangafzaar Kargar |
Yes. Let’s continue at a slower pace!:-)
Cortland |
I'm cool with a slower pace. I over commit myself all the time and would not mind this game moving a bit slower.
LoreMaster GM |
Thanks for understanding! Who knows, by the end of this adventure, I might finally be on a set schedule which will make it easier to post again.
Vinnie Bandar |
On family vacation through Saturday, June 1. Will post when I can but please bot me as needed.
LoreMaster GM |
I don't feel comfortable botting the sacrificed item. Anyone have a suggestion of how I should proceed?
Gorak 'The Touched' |
Move on, and allow a retcon when the player returns? If he uses an item in the 1st world it becomes ineligible for the sacrificed item?
Vinnie Bandar |
Sorry for the delay. Still very limited access until Saturday night but will post when I can
LoreMaster GM |
That is sooooo frustrating! Over the weekend, I made a really long post that concluded the fight and explained everything around you. It would seem that the boards have eaten that post. That was the kind that takes over an hour to type.
Expect a post coming up soon. I am sorry, I thought my post went through.
Jangafzaar Kargar |
Sooo sorry! I hate it when that happens!!
Gorak 'The Touched' |
Sorry guys! I am on vacation with the family. I thought I would be better about internet access- but I have hardly even thought about it! Sorry, not sorry!
Vinnie Bandar |
Have fun!
LoreMaster GM |
I am also sorry, I have been slow to post this week. Today is my brothers wedding and this week, far more responsibilities than expected were given to me. As such, I have been super busy and felt bad for not getting to post. Today and possible tomorrow will be rough but I should get back on track shortly. I am sorry!
Jangafzaar Kargar |
Please don’t worry!!!
Vinnie Bandar |
My apologies for my slowness in posting. Mom was in town and I was busy with her visit. Catching up on my games now.
LoreMaster GM |
With my really slow posting rate, I think I will bow out until I am on a normal schedule everyday again because I find it hard to either remember to post or time to post. I do apologize if this hurts the group, I just hate being the one who slows a whole game down. [/ooc]
Jangafzaar Kargar |
Hi guys, I am on vacation starting tomorrow for three weeks so please bot me as I will only be able to post every couple of days. Sorry for any inconvenience caused!
zer0darkfire |
Hey guys, as we near the beginning of August, I need to inform you of some changes to my presence here on the boards. On August 19th, I'll be starting full-time graduate school while working full-time as a teacher. I don't really know what to expect in terms of workload from graduate school, but I've heard its...quite intensive. To that end, I'm significantly cutting back on my PbP campaigns.
This will be my last game in this rotation, but I don't think I've run a game for us yet, so I apologize that I may not be able to do so in the near future. Hopefully I'll be able to repay the favor of being able to participate in these games in the future, but I'm not so sure when that will happen.
Vinnie Bandar |
Yep, enjoy grad school! Good playing with you.
LoreMaster GM |
Good luck with grad school! I just finished mine and I have to admit, it wasn't easy but so rewarding. I wish you all the best.
