As the last gillman falls, Hiiragi grins, feeling quite proud of herself. She rather quickly starts shrinking back to her normal size, however.

”Toshiko, I believe you throwing it might still be more useful than it sitting on my hip as a decoration,” she advises.

She considers Ikari’s wounds a moment, her mood darkening a touch. ”These blows were well-struck; fret not, though! Our Lady provides for her skulk, and has placed me here when you needed Her.”

With that, she finally stows her flail, placing one hand on her forehead and the other on Ikari’s wounds. Before they even have time to sting in response to her touch, they begin to heal;

As you travel down the west path the persistent glow of the bluish fungi dimly lights the way deeper below the Kortos Mounts. The tunnels broaden to reveal a shallow river that bisects an immense tunnel stretching to the north and south. To the east a small passage exits the chamber at a steep incline. Across the river is some gross looking mold, but otherwise, this cavern doesn't look too interesting.

That mold isn't just "growing on the floor" mold. That is "its going to move over and eat me" mold!

He holds out the other end of the rope, "Hold onto this so I don't get swept down the river and I'll try to cross down here (red x). Then we can secure the rope to make it easier for everyone else to get across and maybe up close that gross mold stuff will be easier to identify.

The water is difficult terrain, but it is a very lazy river. No chance of being swept away or anything and its only about 2ft deep.

The slime begins moving towards you with weird slorping sounds! It probably wants to eat you! Not being a smart creature, it heads directly to you, triggering the pressure plate on itself.

Slime molds are revolting oozes that wallow in rot and decay. A perfect example of symbiosis, each slime mold is covered in a thick garden of fungi, mildew, and toadstools, which helps it blend in with the surroundings. As ambush hunters, they can lie silently in wait for days at a time, surging into frenzied movement as soon as prey comes within reach. Most commonly encountered in deep forests, variations have adapted to life in caverns and sewers as well.

All of you kitsune together deal enough damage to stop the slime from moving (33 from my count out of 28 hp). You quickly and easily find the hidden passage leading back out of the tunnels and wind up back at the entrance nex to Janira.

Having already defeated the Minotaur and reported your findings to Janria, she confirms that you have completed your mission of exploring the caves and discovering why the Gillmen were visiting. She then leads your expedition back to Absalom without further incident.

Once safely back in the Grand Lodge, Master of Scrolls Kreighton Shaine inquires excitedly about what the you have found and asks to see their notes.

He compliments those who recorded notes, for being certain to write down ideas and observations while the thoughts are fresh, observing that it’s difficult enough to remember what one had for breakfast the day before as it is to recall exactly what one was thinking while studying an inscription.

As the you are now the foremost authorities on that cave and what it contains, Shaine also invites them to come up with its name.

Shaine also is certain to compliment Janira for her guidance and assistance, much to the halfling’s delight. He makes sure to remind you, however, that not every pathfinder returns from their missions and that being a Pathfinder is a dangerous career, but also a rewarding one.

Three days later, the Master who best represents each of your interests, either the Master of Scrolls, Spells, or Swords, confirms that you are all full Pathfinder field agents. As part of the ceremony, that mentor also gifs a personalized wayfinder to the PC, reminding him or her that this is not only the symbol of the Pathfinder's trade, but also a reminder of the three principle duties: explore, report, and cooperate.

And thats it! Confirmation is a really short scenario, especially with decently built PCs that steamroll the easy encounters.
