Borgol Ashblade
Borgol would also use the stone.
And no worries, GM. Life comes first.
Remy Tomovici
Well, that went hilariously wrong. :D

Haha, I'm just waiting for you to have the- oh wait, so that's where you're going with this, moment. It will all make sense by the end of Book 1.
Eidt- A GM never reveals his secrets. I'm not crazy, I promise!
Remy Tomovici
I believe he's fighting one of the Roadkeeper thugs.

Level Up - Level 3! - After the next time you have a proper rest (probably overnight in game), you guys can level up your characters accordingly to level 3! Congratulations guys, we are nearly at the end of Book 1!
Flik Gnilleps
Hurray! This is fun. Very mysterious!
Remy Tomovici
Remy would like to claim the amulet of natural armor.
Maddie Elthis
Figured it was about time we got a full loot sheet, so I made one:
If we sell basically everything not already claimed, we each get just above 1000 gp. That said, would anyone complain if Maddie took 50 gp of gems for fun? She does like the shininess, and I imagine she'll have quite the collection of shiny baubles by the end of the adventure.
Also, what are we going to do with the gauntlets? I can't find how much they're worth, and I don't know who they would help most, or if we even want to deal with the curse (but it sounds manageable).
Side note: the Runeward gauntlets seem... useless? Like, they suspend all magical properties of an intelligent weapon wielded. Why even use the weapon at that point? It's just a masterwork weapon.
Remy Tomovici
It's to prevent intelligent weapons from taking control of you.
Maddie Elthis
Yeah, but... at that point, why not just use a non-intelligent weapon?
Maddie Elthis
I mean, I guess? But at the same time, it seems like you might as well leave it, if you'd otherwise only have a masterwork weapon.
*shrug* it just seems odd, is all. Especially for an artifact.
Borgol Ashblade
I get it - as described, you lose all the useful abilities. THat said, Alustria might have the right of it - which is to say, it would be very useful for the squire, smith, etc -- which is to say, the person other than the very powerful "chosen" wielder. Especially since an intelligent weapon could punish someone it didn't like pretty easily.
Borgol's going to take the first of his cleric levels at third, so he'll gain a limited ability to channel and (limited) spellcasting.

Thank you for yuor help, Maddie on the loot sheet. I really appreciate everyone's efforts on this game, and I feel like we are going at a nice place.
So, regarding the runeforged gaunlets and their "use". That is completely up to you - in terms of how useful you think they are. Currently as it stands, you are hunting for Baraket, the Sin Sowrd of the Runelord of Pride. From what you can tell so far, it's influence and sin is already spreading subtly - but now you have proof of its existence. These weapons are extremely dangerous, so pick them up at your own risk hehe.
The cursed gauntlet is an item of my own design. (PROBABLY as Remy would suspect.) I designed it to get my own metaplot going, since as you can tell, someone has also taken the real gaunlets too. It's basically worthless, but if you want to barter off a cursed object it's effective value is 5000 gp.
The real gaunlets are a minor artifact and are for this adventure path, priceless.
Maddie Elthis
Okay. Is there any way that the curse might be removed? I've heard... mixed opinions on de-cursing items. If we could get them to be fine, they would be a really nice item to have on hand (pun intended).
It'll be interesting to see how this develops!
Side note: anyone have any ideas for what spells I should grab on level up? Currently, I'm looking at levitate and either web or invisibility, but I don't know exactly what I should grab (and, with some of our gold, I can hopefully find a spellbook to copy from at some point).
Alustria Wintersbreath
Also, sometimes you have a vastly evil intelligent weapon that would overpower you, but, as a reasonable, sane person who has no desire for an apocalypse, you can't just...leave there.
Maddie Elthis
I just realized I am actually completely useless in this fight- I don't think my telekinetic fists can damage incorporeal enemies, and they deal bludgeoning damage, so I can never overcome the DR of the zombies.
Then, my only spell left is Color Spray. Which doesn't exactly help against undead.
GM Tealk

Not incoporeal, just undead. :)

Maddie Elthis
Level-up summary:
+5 HP
+1 Fort, Ref save
+1 2nd-level spell slot (plus bonus spells)
New spells: Levitate, web
9 skill ranks:
Knowledge (arcana, dungeoneering, geography, history, local, planes, religion), Perception, Spellcraft
Feat: Spell Specialization (magic missile) (unless someone has a better idea? I don't really see Maddie as having the patience for Crafting)
Fergus Ironbeard
Paladin 3
HP+14
Class Bonus: +1
BAB +1
Reflex +1
CMD +1
CMB +1
Heal +1
Perception +1
Knowledge (History) +1
Knowledge (Dungeoneering) +1
Aura of Courage At 3rd level, a paladin is immune to fear (magical or otherwise). Each ally within 10 feet of her gains a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against fear effects. This ability functions only while the paladin is conscious, not if she is unconscious or dead.
Divine Health At 3rd level, a paladin is immune to all diseases, including supernatural and magical diseases, including mummy rot.
Mercy At 3rd level, and every three levels thereafter, a paladin can select one mercy. Each mercy adds an effect to the paladin’s lay on hands ability. Whenever the paladin uses lay on hands to heal damage to one target, the target also receives the additional effects from all of the mercies possessed by the paladin. A mercy can remove a condition caused by a curse, disease, or poison without curing the affliction. Such conditions return after 1 hour unless the mercy actually removes the affliction that causes the condition.
3rd-Shaken: The target is no longer shaken.
Remy Tomovici
It's too late to edit my post, but I was thinking about the situation more carefully and realized that there's a very good chance the fleshdreg will drop the girl in the well and kill her if nobody can get to it this round. I don't want that on my conscience.
If the GM will allow me to change my actions, I would like to rush up to the fleshdreg and make a grapple check to grab the girl away from it. I'll take whatever AoOs come my way for moving. If possible, I'll use the first roll I made for attacks this round to do this, giving me a total CMB result of 23. If not, I'll roll again or the GM can roll for me.
Thank you! I really don't want that girl to die! It was literally keeping me awake last night.
Borgol Ashblade
I didn't post my actions because I was getting ready to channel, even if it brought some of them back to their feet, in order to stabilize the girl from range -- but if Remy's got the move to get to her, Borgol and Fergus can cut down red and blue.
Remy Tomovici
Maddie, unfortunately enlarge person is a close range spell so I'll probably be out of range by the time you finish casting. But you could probably hit Borgol or Fergus with it.
Alustria Wintersbreath
Why do I ever try to swing with Alustria? She never succeeds. She's helped grapple, but with her sword? It's just not meant to be.
She needs a Defending weapon, since she doesn't hit anything anyway.
And more spells, obviously.
Borgol Ashblade
Don't feel bad Alustria. I had an investigator once who I don't think managed to land a single blow with his rapier until level 4.
Remy Tomovici
Fergus, don't forget a greataxe is x3 crit!
Maddie Elthis
Posting to my games- Sorry I've been a bit absent from the boards lately, I've been busy at a summer research program, and it's picking up a lot as I near the end.
Also, in a little over a week, I'm going to be out of the country for three weeks. While I'll still try to keep everything updated, it'll be at odd hours and I may not be able to check for a couple of days at a time. So, bot me if needed in combat, and in about a month, I'll be back to my normal posting rate and schedule.
GM Tealk

I was meant to post earlier, but time got away from me.
Have a good time, Maddie! We will see you when you get back.
I'm going to have trouble posting this week, but I'll do my best to keep up. Sorry, I've just got lots on this week, from planning a batchelor party, to job interviews and I'm just restless at the moment. It's just this week, guys. Update soon.
Flik Gnilleps
No problem! I'm going to be pretty slow later in the week as I'm going to GenCon on Wednesday.
Remy Tomovici
Sorry if I upstaged you, Flik, but Remy doesn't like rude people. Maybe you can play the good cop to her bad cop. :)
Flik Gnilleps
Ha! No worries!
Also, I'm at Gen Con. Still planning on keeping up with my games, but might be a little slow on the uptake!
Remy Tomovici
Well, good cop didn't work. Time for bad cop!
Flik Gnilleps
hehe!
Remy Tomovici
Thanks for the healing, guys! :D
Remy Tomovici
Remy handed the gauntlet to Flik after taking it from Mother. I think he still might have it.
Flik Gnilleps
Sounds right to me. I don't mind hanging on to any weird artifacts.
