Nytlhe calls out to the gremlin caster to give up, but even with the whip-crack sound effect its clear that's not happening...yet.
Juis moves ahead and swings his mace at the tenacious gremlin, bopping her on the head, but not doing as much damage as he'd have thought.
Okuru is on the clock. Will DM-PC if no post by tomorrow evening.

The Hall of Exquisite Agony - Round 4 - continued
Okuru steps away from the jinkin sorceress and attempts to fool her with illusory sounds, but the magic-using foe recognizes the spell and ignores the output.
Without much hope of escape even in the darkness, Mifra tries casting a spell-like ability defensively. With the spell energized, she reaches out to touch Aconite, who easily avoids such a touch attack. Frustrated, she takes a short step, trying to get away.
Wilem, Aconite, and Marianna are up now. Remember that darkness is in effect, so many of you won't be able to see.

Standard Action - Tactician. entertainingly this will only effect Juis and Aconite (need to be able to see and hear me to be effected), but they will gain access to Precise Strike for 3 rounds. That said, go to town, you two.

The Hall of Exquisite Agony - Round 4 - continued
Wilem throws caution to the wind and lobs a bomb where he thinks the gremlin is. Unfortunately, it is the wrong place and the splash-less bomb goes off without giving off any light...strange. But it misses.
Marianna bangs into several things on her approach towards the enemy foe, cutting herself and banging her shin on an iron cauldron in the middle of the room. For those who can see her, she gives martial inspiration, hopefully leading them to victory.
Just needs attacks from Aconite, who can see fine and is not hit by the laughing touch.

The Hall of Exquisite Agony - Round 5 - continued
Okuru casts a magical divination hoping to see the gremlin appear, but she has not cast anything that emits a magical aura except darkness so the information that returns is a little overwhelming.
Juis, who can see in the dark, chases after the little beast, flanking her, but missing with his mace.
Casting defensively, Mifra is able conjure an evocation of force that slams into Aconite, as she tries to get free of the hound.
Aconite is hit for 4hp dmg. Wilem, Aconite, and Marianna are up now to end the round.

Hall of Exquisite Agony - Round 5 - concluded
Marianna just stands stock still, the darkness stymieing any attempt at action.
Aconite continues to try to savage the small caster, and while one claw does it, the magical nature of the jinkin allows it to escape without any damage.
Good call on the shield countering magic missile, Mifra had forgotten the shadow pet was so well protected.

Okuru just stands, shrouded by darkness, and waits for something good to happen.
Juis cannot harm the gremlin by using his weapons, so he chooses to try to tackle her instead. Unfortunately, his eyesight fails him again, and he ends up just tripping over himself. The gremlin tries to stab him, but it ends up just bruising the man instead.
Mifra decides to try to flee, and breaks away from Aconite and Juis, trying to avoid attacks from them, but failing. She ends up on the far side of the room.

Okuru stands helplessly by.
Nylthe tosses a cold-iron glove to Juis, and the oracle responds by strapping it on and punching at the grappled gremlin, but even then he cannot make sufficient contact.
Mifra tries to break free from the grapple held by Aconite but cannot. The effort she exerts exhausts her, and she crumples in the jaws of Aconite, unconscious, the dark spell ending with her.

With the last foe vanquished, you are able to spend as much time as you like searching the vault area for Sascha's treasure trove. In one of the unlocked cells, under a loose flagstone, you find the hoard.
It contains a MW breastplate, a set of MW butterfly swords, a pear-studded silver brooch shaped like a dove, 2 spelunking kits, 2 scroll of mage armor, a scroll of grease, a ring of protection +1, a fine emerald, and a pouch filled with numerous platinum pieces. In addition, you find a tarnished silver locket whose interior bears only a simple inscription "Ever Yours - EK".
Could that be from legendary Pathfinder Eando Kline?

![]() |

Grateful to be out of the sewers, Marianna reaches into her bag and hands over the pendant. "I think this fulfills the trip, right?"

![]() |

As soon as the party exits the sewer Wilen takes a deep, long breath.
Aaaaah. Fresh air. I'd almost forgotten what it was like. That dense sewer air really hits you in the face like a wet towel...
He makes a disgusted face and shudders visibly at the barely-recent experience.
Yeah, here's your stuff. Now we know why you didn't want to go down there. I need a bath...

![]() |

Nylthe arches an eyebrow in barely suppressed annoyance. "If we were willing to leave before finding the pendant, we really wouldn't have spent any time in the sewers at all."

![]() |

Juis returns the Cestus, glad the gremlin was taken down. "She was a tough little bugger."
Seeing that Okuru is hurt, he takes out his wand and taps Okuru with it.

Sascha thanks you profusely, and takes only the pendant, holding it as if it were the most valuable thing in the world. "You keep the rest. I ahve no need of it. Only this keepsake, which is worth more to me than any treasure would ever be."
Canayvan is very interested to hear of the jinkin infestation below the sewers of Magnimar and predicts they will have to be dealt with for good sometime soon.
He pays out your fee, and encourages you to rest and relax in the Lodge until the next available mission, which may not be far away.
