Actually, I just realized I cannot use it at all this turn. According to the handout it is an immediate action. Using an immediate action on your turn counts as your swift action for the turn, but I already used my swift to activate studied target.

1 Question @31, 2 Questions @36
Eshimka gives a sinister laugh as the party assaults her close and up front. "You think you are at an advantage? Think again!"
Swiftly, before anyone can even react, Eshimka casts a spell!
Unholy Blight.
You call up unholy power to smite your enemies. The power takes the form of a cold, cloying miasma of greasy darkness. Only good and neutral (not evil) creatures are harmed by the spell.
The spell deals 1d8 points of damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d8) to a good creature (or 1d6 per caster level, maximum 10d6, to a good outsider) and causes it to be sickened for 1d4 rounds. A successful Will save reduces damage to half and negates the sickened effect. The effects cannot be negated by remove disease or heal, but remove curse is effective.
The spell deals only half damage to creatures who are neither evil nor good, and they are not sickened. Such a creature can reduce the damage by half again (down to one-quarter) with a successful Will save.
Will Save DC19 Half and prevent Sickened Effect: 5d8 ⇒ (5, 4, 8, 1, 7) = 25
Neutral Characters take 1/4th for passing DC19 Will Save.
Then she turns her attention to Grimaldus. "You are the healer, no doubt. Pity your friends will fail when I end you." She slashes with her arm blades at the Half-Elf.
First Attack VS Grimaldus: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (20) + 28 = 48
Second Attack VS Grimaldus: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (12) + 28 = 40
Damage 1st: 3d6 + 15 + 4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 1) + 15 + (3, 6, 5, 4) = 42
Damage 2nd: 3d6 + 15 + 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4) + 15 + (6, 1, 1, 1) = 36
Critical Attack VS Grimaldus: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (16) + 28 = 44
Critical Damage VS Grimaldus: 3d6 + 15 ⇒ (4, 2, 5) + 15 = 26
Grimaldus suffers 104 damage from melee.

Chaine Grimaldus is a holy vindicator. His +6 sacred bonus to AC from his class is lost the first time an attack hits his AC. So if his AC was 41 against the first attack that hit him, but after that it would have dropped to 35 for the remaining attacks.
WILL: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24
Chak takes the rage and the additional attack.
As a free action I will use my Martyr's Shard 3 boon to ignore 5 points of DR possessed by undead creatures with my nodachi attacks for the 1 minute. I will use the the blessing boon to deal an additional 1d6 + 22 ⇒ (6) + 22 = 28 damage and ignore the DR completely of the first attack that hits.

Last Attack: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (12) + 23 = 35 Damage: 1d10 + 25 ⇒ (3) + 25 = 28

it is literally that 20 crit that screwed me over, I have no other words for it :( then again... +28... FML I do however now have the +1 from Chaine from Last Wall (and it drops my save addition to +1... Sidenote... early morning posting screwed up my top part, it's 36 AC now

![]() |

I adjusted Grimaldus and Chaine's end square: Chaine and Silvermane are both hovering protectively 5-feet above Grimaldus and also adjacent to Chak and Thunderhoof: Grimaldus +4 sacred bonus to AC; Thunderhoof and Chak: +3 sacred bonus to AC. Feel free to move back Grimaldus back one square to the south: if you do so you get +3 sacred bonus to AC instead of +4 as you lose Chak's +1 in the equation...

Swapping out his metamagic rods, Charlie moves closer to the melee then unleashes an Intensified Burst of Radiance
Take blessing of fervor for movement speed; Free actions: Drop rod of empower. Snap fingers for Intensified. Move action Airwalk closer. Standard cast spell.

If evil, takes damage regardless of save. DC:18 Reflex. Success=Dazzled, Failure=Blinded for duration: 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds.
If Eshimka gets a ten or better on its Die roll for Reflex save, will use Misfortune to make it re-roll--Sorry, was not close enough to make it re-roll that crit.

Everything is fine :) Damage was all legit due to that crit! your dice!

As Chaine and Chak slash and attack Eshimka relentlessly, the giant of an undead creature falls.
Reporting one ESHIMKA SUCCESS.
That battle lasted a lot less longer than expected.
You now have a choice, Pathfinders. Retreat and recover (Stepping out for now and letting other tables gather successes), or fight a dragon. (Continue combat, placed where you are, but a dragon flies in and you start the encounter right away.)

![]() |

Ehm, depending on the dragon... but ehm... need to wait at least 10 rounds before I get that dreaded 68hp hitting me in the face, so I would prefer... rest...

![]() |

Apologies, you have 2 rounds to prepare if you decide to fight the dragon.
If we fight the dragon, we still benefit from 7 rounds of Fervor... Grimaldus will eat the 68hp on round 8... :P just saying :D

![]() |

I would be surprised if it took us that long to fight the dragon. But Chak has scrolls of heal and breath of life that he can use if necessary.

You were actually right, as his AC drops tremendously after the first hit!

![]() |

I don't want to endanger Grimaldus further: I vote we tap out.

![]() |

Tap out means I just go ahead and write up chronicles, and wait until I hear if all conditions were met or not.

![]() |

Do I hear an implied statement that meeting the said conditions would be much, MUCH preferable? :) I've never run a special so I have no idea how that whole 'meeting objectives as a group thing' works...

![]() |

We have to earn enough total successes in each objective across all the tables (usually expressed as a multiple of the number of tables depending on the difficulty and repeatability). If an objective is not meant it usually means the loss of a boon on the chronicle.

IN THAT CASE! I SMELL A DRAGON FIGHT! (as long as the dragon is not... overly obsessed with Chaine's.... lance... :P) But seriously: I will defer to Grimaldus on this. I'm good one way or the other.

I won't stand in the front line... but if we do, I will need a channel for 1 round, see how we are with hp... also, any chance we know what type of dragon we are going to be playing hug with?

**OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT**
Her dark armor riddled with arrows and sliced by a dozen blades, Eshimka staggers back from the nearby Pathfinders attacking her. With one blade-arm she beckons for more of her shadowy minions to reunite with her body and heal her wounds, but other Pathfinders have slain too many for any to answer her call. For the first time, Eshimka seems worried, fighting for her survival rather than leading her army.
Table GMs, the Eshimka Defeated condition is now in effect, ending the ongoing hazard.
