Rasalhague |
"Alright, I'll take point again as we move on. There's no telling what we'll find over there so no one touch anything strange without checking in first." As dire as his words sounded, Raz was eager to get to the Drift Rock and poke around. Hooking himself to the tow cable, he pushed off and began drifting toward the strange rock.
GM Woran |
Grag and Zog, having donned their helmets again, clip on a tow cable with no problem, and zip after Ras and Jaru.
For an asteroid, the surface of the drift rock is very smooth. Knowing the miners retreated to the rock, you all carefully check around the mooring cables for clues where they might have gone.
Perception Rasalhague: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Perception Antonius: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Perception Jaru: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Perception Blixa: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Distracted by the blinking lights of the armada, Blixa wanders off for a bit, then steps into a hole. Upon inspecting it, it turns out to be a corridor, going into the interior of the drift rock.
Blixa Myrwood |
"LOOK WHAT I FOUND! Grag, Zog! Maybe there is a new toaster down here!"
Antonius “Rat Tony” |
Antonius gives Blixa a pat on the back, and a wink.
"Or at least a trove of yummy sammich fixings!" adds Antonius. "And you two are the best suited to find them!"
bluff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Blixa Myrwood |
"Why yes! Yes you are the bestest toaster sammich finders here!"
Bluff!: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
Jaru of Clan Ro |
Jaru follows Raz into the corridor.
"Careful, Raz, this rock is where the crew found the eggs that hatched those blue monstrosities. This tunnel could house dozens of the beasts." Jaru says telepathically.
Blixa Myrwood |
I’m cool with Raz going first if he so chooses.
Rasalhague |
Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Raz comes up short before the intersection and carefully checks in each direction.
Antonius “Rat Tony” |
Antonius nods to Blixa, thinking at her 'We'll follow behind and keep the space vermin honest'. He has a laser pistol out (the one he got at the bar), and is ready for whatever happens.
GM Woran |
Rasalhague carefully moves around the corner of the tunnel, the others following close behind.
Perception Rasalhague: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Large chunks of rubble are scattered across this cavern.
A large boulder lies to the west. Its clear that whatever was going on here, this chamber was still in the process of being excavated.
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
As Ras is about to turn around, seeing the cave holds nothing interesting, a shot comes from somewhere in the cavern.
shot at Ras: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
damage: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
GM Woran |
Splitting my post because the forum is being an ass. Somehow the boulder in the map was near invisible so Ive added it in with a 'cloud'.

"Ow."
Raz concentrated and the space around him grew incrementally darker as reality thickened around him. Pushing off from his footing, he darted further into the room.
"You part of the Acheron's crew?" He called out over a general comm frequency.
Blixa Myrwood |
"You can do it Raz!"
Inspiring Boost! Raz gets back 7 SP!
Antonius “Rat Tony” |
Antonius wonders if perhaps Rasalhague is on to something. Instead of wasting a shot, fighting, Antonius attempts to sneak into a better position... making sure his suit's lights are turned off, first...
stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Blixa Myrwood |
Perception!: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Everyone hears a frantic telepathic message/
Holy s%!+! Guys! Guys! Guys! Guys! Something invisible just stopped in front of me!
GM Woran |
Ras: Kicks off into the room, aided by the lack of gravity. As he looks around the boulder, he sees an android, dressed in non descript armor. There was no andoid on the Acreon's crew manifest.
Blixa: Bolsters Ras.
Antonius: Makes use of the situation to slip between some rocks.
Android: Presses a button on her armor, and suddenly there are 1d4 ⇒ 3 of her functions as mirror image
With a click of her heels, little jets in the bottom of her boots activates, and she drifts a bit away from Ras.

Jaru can act! Goblins will act if you give them orders.
Jaru of Clan Ro |
Jaru flies into the chamber taking cover behind a boulder. As he passes the goblins he calls out over the comms, "Alright friends get in there and help Raz!"
GM Woran |
The rule I usually use for mirror image is that you roll a die with the same number of sides as there are images + person. If you roll a 1, you hit the person, on another number, you hit an image. So for example, there are 3 images and 1 android, you roll a D4.
Grag and Zog awkwardly bustle into the room in the zego G. Only one of them manages to get a shot off.
junklaser: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
miss chance: 1d4 ⇒ 4
One of the images disappears, and there are now only 3 androids in the room.
Grag cackles. "Got one!"

"I'll take the stoic silence as a no," Raz said, as he braced himself against the sole piece of cover in the room he could reach and fired off a pair of shots. She was tricky, sure, but up against what was essentially a firing line between her and the only exit to the chamber.
Blixa Myrwood |
”Everyone! Get that Android!”
Get ‘em!: everyone gets +1 to hit the android until the start of my next turn.
Blixa draws her gun.
Antonius “Rat Tony” |
'Well, at least it means one fewer to split the loot with.'
Antonius triggers a rapid acting virus, and beams it to the android's armor. Suddenly, the armor's lights start strobing!
Trick Attack: 1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 11 + 4 = 19 sigh
He then moves, and fires his laser.
Azimuth Laser Pistol: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 1 = 24 fire: 1d4 ⇒ 4 which one?: 1d3 ⇒ 3 Pops an image, i guess
GM Woran |
1d2 ⇒ 2 Ras popped an image, so Tony only would have had a 50/50 chance. But I guess the dice roller is taking sides again. On a plus, there are no images left.
Ras: Hits, but pops an image.
Blixa: Boosts everyone's accuracy.
Tony: Hits, but pops an image.

GM Woran |
Tony: The distraction works this time, and Tony scores a hit.
Ras: Hits as well
Blixa: Keeps encouraging the team.
Android: Again appears to move to one side, but suddenly ends up somewhere else. Trick attack with stealth

"I'm getting very tired of being shot," Raz said, returning fire.
Blixa Myrwood |
Please tell me everyone else saw the multiple images. Everyone saw those appear and then disappear, right? Right?"
Get 'em! again!
Antonius “Rat Tony” |
"Yeah, dey were dere." says Rat Tony. "Dat's a trick I gotta learn!"
He turns the android and says, "Tell you what. Stop fightin' and teach me dat trick, and we'll go our separate ways!"
Blixa Myrwood |
Blixa’s eyes dart to and fro. Unsure whether it is the drugs or some other supernatural phenomena that has caused her to perceive her fellow starfinders sudden and prolonged stasis.
Throwing caution away, Blixa still walks, with guarded care, to the Android. Two rapid pokes to its nose elicit no response. Hrmph. It has affected the android as well!
Blixa decides to use her native Castrovelian ability to detect thoughts, just to make sure everyone is still “there”.
Jaru of Clan Ro |
Jaru's eyes follow Blixa as she crosses the cavern and go wide as she prods the android.
Interesting. This "drift rock" seems to be causing some form of time dilation or paralysis. I wonder if the android could feel itself being poked."
Blixa Myrwood |
”Anyone have tonic? Hey, Android! You in?”
Antonius “Rat Tony” |
"Yo, Babes." says the rat. "I aon't got nuthin' against you, and dat seems like a trick I gotta know, so as far as I am concerned, we copacetic."
"And dis rat is always sincere! Even when he ain't"
"Which I am. So, yeah. Teach me, and we go our separate ways. No harm no foul."
