I don't mind a diplomatic approach, but it's probably something we should have talked about before they saw us, drew weapons, and we rolled for Initiative ;) Diplomacy checks usually take at least a minute of interaction, and they're not usually allowed once hostility starts.


As you look closer you can see that the leader is wearing a very special helm. A helm that matches the description you were given in the museum.

The leader of the gang is hit a glancing, but burning blow, and Remy does manage to hit one of the thugs.
But now it is their turn and with a whistle the archer brings his pet to attack.
A hippotamus rises behind the cardthrower and bits Arrius.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 71d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Then Carlo attacks Arrius himself and steps back.

Then Dalan thrusts his rapier into Arrius and steps back to give their boss a clear shot jumping on the beach.

Seeing the creature in the water, Drelluandast has an idea! "Hold on Remy!" he yells as he trots as fast as his short legs will carry him. Calling on his training at the Acadamae, he hastily throws his magic at the water and moments later a heavenly dolphin appears!

Fortitude vs DC 16: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 (Success!)

Drelluandast uses his Acadamae Graduate feat to summon as a standard action, then succeeds at the Fortitude save to avoid fatigue.


It seems quite real. Some saw something in the water before

Thanks for the healing Mohag. Re: arrow, my rule is not to take a retroactive benefit if it was my own fault for overlooking something like that. Sometimes a lucky one gets through!
