He-Who-Grinds is nearly certain this is a trap. That these morlamaw almost certainly poisoned and then tortured the kalos.
But he has no proof. Still he DOES half suspect that the airlocked room is going to make for a make shift prison and inists on waiting until Ohsessa enters before following.

And this is where we split the party. Okay, let's see who else went through the airlock...
Chivix: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Osuro: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Moxie: 1d2 ⇒ 1
★ --- ★ --- ★ --- ★
Chivix also went through the airlock. Osuro and Moxie are hanging out in the hallway with Oshessa and He-Who-Grinds.
Moxie Moon
|
Moxie frowns at Odhessa's outburst. "We don't mean to be ungracious guests, but I do think that we have found some evidence that needs to be addressed. We would be happy to discuss this with you in your private chambers if you wish."
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (13) + 7 + (3) = 23
Moxie will follow Oshessa into the airlock, her hand resting near the sonic pistol on her hip.
| GM Hmm |
Before Moxie can move through the airlock, Oshessa screams, "Treachery! Treachery! The outsiders are attacking me!"
She slams her butt against the button closing the airlock, and casts a spell.
Two of her followers from the other end of the room look up, alarmed. "Oshessa!"
The airlock is merely closed, not locked, and may be opened with a move action.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the airlock, Chivix, Drei and Remy notice a hissing sound coming from behind the partition in Oshessa's bedroom.

With incredible speed, Moxie darts around the Morlamaw, rolling into a somersault as she moves under the massive creature's flippers. Circling around Ohessa acrobatically, Moxie springs to her feet with a baton in one hand and her other on the button of the airlock, reopening it.
I think Ohessa would still be flat footed, so the Acrobatics check is more about Moxie trying to show off. Move action to circle around Ohessa and draw a weapon, move action to reopen the airlock.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Moxie flips her hair with a dramatic shake of her head and looks Osuro in the eyes.
"I case you were wondering...yeah, I've always done my own stunts."
| GM Hmm |
Moxie repositions and opens the airlock! And yes, Oshessa is still flat-footed.

"How else are you supposed to get the good action close-ups?" managing to continue the banter despite needing to focus on the matter at hand. Osuro starts to turn as though she's planning to do some fancy acrobatic move around the morlamaw as well, instead simply moving away and firing her Disintegrator pistol in the morlamaw's face.
Trick Attack (Bluff): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19
As I don't have Uncanny Mobility (yet), that low roll means the movement will provoke, sadly. I started with 1 empty square between us. Those bonuses say this should HURT!

AoO vs. Green: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
But she's so distracted by the sounds coming from outside the room that she barely pays attention to where the blade is going. With a cry of "Who's trying to kill who now?" she sheathes the knife and starts moving back through the airlock, drawing her more familiar static arc pistol as she goes. She backs up against the wall, trying to figure out what exactly is happening here.
Move action to sheathe the knife, second move to go back out into the room while drawing a weapon. It probably provokes an attack of opportunity from Oshessa, if she can take it. If so my AC is 4 higher from mobility.
| GM Hmm |
Remi misses the snake, and moves in close to Oshessa. Oshessa does not have combat reflexes. There is no attack of opportunity.

CRRAAAAAACCCKKKK!
As the big snake swims and double-moves forward, Chivix shoots it!
Meanwhile, Moxie gives He-who-grinds an inspiring boost as the green morlamaw looks up sadly. "A promise is a promise," as she rummages through her medical bag. "Poisons are tough, but let me see what I can do."

Drei...

Drei hears the big creature crash around. He takes a deep breath to steady himself, spins around the corner, aims at the creature, and fires.
PEW!: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
fire: 2d8 + 9 + 4d6 ⇒ (2, 8) + 9 + (2, 6, 4, 6) = 37
Sniping, stealth to remain hidden: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27

KA-BOOOOM!!!
The big black snake's head is blown off... More disgustingly, you notice humanoid body parts spilling from its stomach.
COMBAT OVER!
★ --- ★ --- ★ --- ★
The rules on the poisoned unconscious state are really, really harsh, but the Morlamaw have settled in a former Starfinder Lodge, and most of them are mystics. If there's good medicine anywhere, it's here. So... indulge me with a little hand-wavium.
The green morlamaw, Jelvi, pulls out an epipen of remove condition and injects it into the haan warrior. He-who-grinds wakes with a headache a few minutes later.
Osuro
|
Looking at Jelvi, Osuro tries to engage her. "So, I guess the next question is how much do you all know about Oshessa's religion? How dedicated to creating pain are you? That's pretty much going to decide how we move forward."
Drei...
|
Drei stashes his rifle on his back and begins looking thoroughly around the room. He does not seem to have been affected negatively by the occurrences and proceeds very nonchalantly.

Remi of Castrovel
|
The gentle response of the morlamaws to both Oshessa and their own injuries further increases Remi's confusion. "You really don't act like worshippers of Zon-Kuthon. Do you not know who it is you were serving here?" She gives a basic rundown of the evil god of darkness and pain, and the various pointers that they have noticed linking him to Oshessa and this place. "Please tell me that's not what you all stand for." She keeps her pistol out and ready in case the morlamaws all decide to turn on them.
| GM Hmm |
"Oh we don't worship Zon Kuthon! We worship the Weeping Knight," Jelvi looks up at you, earnestly. "Oshessa taught us that our suffering can help us understand why there's pain in the world, and how to make it a better place with our offering of pain and prayer."
The other young Morlamaw, Riller, adds, "But Oshessa wasn't pleased with our progress yet, and told us we weren't ready for the higher lessons." Then he looks sad. "And now we'll never know them, because she's gone."
Then there's a quiet clearing of a throat, and you realize another morlamaw has joined you. "They don't know all that has happened, or is happening still." It's Irtrine, the nervous teenaged morlamaw, who had been standing guard. She chews a bit on her lip, shifting from flipper to flipper. "Oshessa had me... help her, and..." She looks up at you, terrified. "Can I talk to you... privately?"

As the brave warden, the massive spidery He-Who-Grinds-Blades-To-Dust enjoys his injection of handwavium he makes his way to the big black snake to investigate his macabre stomach contents, fearing the worst has befallen the kalos.
After a moment he takes in the child. These simpletons had been duped. That much was clear now. Yesss child you may
Osuro

Osuro hesitates for a split second before slightly shrugging. "Yeah. Sure." She looks back at the others and gives a quick facial distortion that vaguely says "Really? Is it this easy?".
