Gonna be honest if it's just us 4 and these hobs are anything like the other ones we had to fight, we're boned. Simply on account of action economy and the fact that they've got a LOT of hp and armor to chew through.

Actually, these guys aren't wearing any armour (save for the melee guys with their shields) and have a single hit die.
EDIT: My bad. I took a second look through the encounter, and there's only supposed to be five hobgoblins in Tier 1-2. Given that I split them into a melee and ranged groups, the melee guys didn't really do anything aside from move and draw their shields - the combat as it is shouldn't be affected, but it tilts the odds in your favour.

Eltran Katsu wrote:So I don't wanna be that guy but you haven't been reloading your crossbow(or at least not stating it, a move action) and doing so would provoke AoO. Shooting while in melee provokes one as does drawing a weapon next to an enemy. So that's 3 AoO provokes. A move used up to reload from the previous turn, standard to shoot, and then all you've got is a free action. Also from the turn you drew the crossbow you drew(move) shot(standard but it wasn't loaded, having it cocked and then loading a bolt i can see though so whatever a free action to place a bolt), 2nd round with crossbow reload(move) shoot(action), 3rd reload(move) shoot(action), current round reload(move) draw whip(move/standard), shoot(standard). So I think unless you don't shoot or have a second standard or move action from something or quick draw what you're trying to do is illegal? Mostly pointing this out cause i feel i'm the only one who's been spending actions to reload his weapon and am getting a little ripped if others are firing reload weapons without using the necessary actions.GM zebeev wrote:ahh, thanks! Then I just use the whip. Same attack rolls. :-)Manople Description wrote:Link - You can’t use the hand on which a manople is worn for anything else. A manople takes a full-round action to don.Given what you want to do is not allowed within the rules, you'll have to re-think part of your turn. You still have your move action.
Thanks Durest, it is always good to double check. I implicitly assumed that Eltran was reloading with his move action as he did not move. Sorry that I was not explicit enough. We had enough time to prepare before the fight so the crossbow was loaded and in one of Eltran‘s hands and his whip in the other hand.
Round 2: Drop to prone (free), Drop whip (free), shoot crossbow (Standard), load crossbow (move)
Round 3: shoot crossbow (Standard), load crossbow (move)
Round 4: shoot crossbow (Standard), load crossbow (move)
Round 5: retrieve whip (move), shoot crossbow (Standard)
I hope this clarifies my actions and sorry for not being more explicit. :-)

Is moving to Durest Gaspar's turn next round or did he move up there this round?
Edit: I see now that it was for the incoming post XD ouch.

Thanks GM zebeev! Great game and I think you handled things well. You did a great job adding, I suspect, a few role-playing flourishes that made the NPCs more memorable. I know you noted a few errors that were made, but I didn't recall very many and those I am aware of, I believe you handled well and fairly. Thanks again!
As for the players, well done as always. I get the sense that the players are having fun with these PCs. Durest earned the MVP in my book this scenario and, despite tough competition, may have delivered by best lines!
So, what's next for this group? If we go in order, then next is The Frozen Fingersnof Midnight, which I understand is suggested for those interested in the seeker "Eyes of the Ten" megaplot.
| GM RePete |
I've already played that one, so if we did Frozen Fingers I'd have to GM it in order to get credit.
GM Zebeev, no major complaints from me aside from I need to get more HP! :-P
PFS Tracker(Link) has all my games played/gm'd in there for ease of determining availability. My username is....

I'm down with whatever!
I think I'll keep with Danira, as I think the lack of a cleric was certainly felt in this scenario - I'll review her character sheet before applying the GM credit from this game, but that will put her to level 2 - 0-01, 0-02, and now the chronicle from this...
Is everyone else in the same Level 2 boat? Or should I forgo the GM credit from this table to keep her level 1 for Frozen Fingers?

This PC started at level 2 (with this last scenario), so I will likely just apply my next GM credit with this group to another PC.

I'll be lvl 2 as well, gonna need a bit been busy and exhausted, new line at work alongside wracking my brain to devise how to kill a zombie black dragon while fending off a glabrezu in my other game.

Ha ha!!! ;-)
Kavendell, I do not mind you having 1 xp more. It helped a lot that you were 2nd level. :-)

Looks great thanks!!
By the way. Super sorry but I decided to change the character for last time now. ;-)
I will bring a Ratfolk Swashbuckler 1 / Occultist 1 with exactly 3 xp that I am currently finishing. I am rebuilding a character that went through the first level of the emerald spire. :-)
| GM Valen |
Looks good to me! Thanks again for running!
What scenario is the group up for next?

I think we were talking about Frozen Fingers with me GMing.

Just a heads up, it's likely going to be a couple days before I can get the next one going.
My grandmother is going on hospice as of today.

Also did we ever deal with the fact that Kavendale got hit by the Leper and failed his disease save?
Aight gotta buy(at least) 6 alchemical shots, 4 standards(bullet and black powder)
Durest Ironsights

Aight so paizo is freaking out over nothing, so i'll put my purchases in here for now.
11 alchemical plain shots(bringing me up to 15[66gp]), not buying any normal bullets, refilling my powder horn(4doses[20gp]), and a single adamantine bullet[61gp], leaving me with a total of 522 gold after the scenario.

Per CRB, it takes 2d4 weeks for onset, so I believe Kavendell can pay 1 Prestige for remove disease, provided we know he has been infected, before then.
