Rosa looks now at Olivira locking eyes with her.

"Ask the Demon-spawn if she intended to leaving the dwarf with us. While she helps this poor sick and dying fighter back to the gate."

Rosa looks at the others.

No, I gave no formal oath, but I did give my word, something I take very seriously, as you know. And now you have made me a liar with your assault. ”Like the tea to fool the enemies that we saw no sign of?” Lidras said, clearly annoyed. It seemed obvious to him that she was hiding as much as explaining as she spoke. Nor did he trust her to be as lawful as she claimed to be. ”We know you are powerful, else you wouldn’t be here. But there is no need to pretend to be so mysterious. But if you do have everything figured out, then I find it doubly insulting that you did not tell any us. This is not a one woman show. We are not your followers, your lackeys, or pawns in your game. We are a team, and you should treat us as such.”

After kicked by Rosa she drops to the ground in pain. She looks up confused and dazed.

Rosa:
Olivira is a tiefling, no real weakness typically.
Spell-Like Ability: Tieflings can use darkness once per day as a spell-like ability. The caster level for this ability equals the tiefling's class level.
Fiendish Resistance: Tieflings have cold resistance 5, electricity resistance 5, and fire resistance 5.
Fiendish Sorcery: Tiefling sorcerers with the Abyssal or Infernal bloodlines treat their Charisma score as 2 points higher for all sorcerer class abilities.

She looks up at Davian with tears in her eyes. Eyes that are very big and you can hear her gasping for breath. Blood begins to cover her dress.

Matthew shakes his helmet to Rosa's suggestion to take it off simply saying, "no." As she continues to insist he does not resist. The helmet has a catch to it, with Rosa's help she finally gets it off and his face looks like mush. You don't see eyes, you can barely see the air holes left for his nose, the lips are gone but replaced by chuncks of cancerous flesh, you can see the hole of his mouth and the few teeth that remain are crooked and chipped. The only thing that appears to be damaged is in his mouth and around the hole of his mouth.

Then she passes out.

Annwyn finally decides to take action, stepping forward as Rosa pummels the tiefling. Demon-blood or no, she wasn't going to stand by idly as anyone was being beaten.

"Rosa, stop. You do that again, I'll treat you as I would anyone else who attacks someone unprovoked. Olivira, are you all right?" she asks, channeling healing into the bloodied figure.

As she is healed she comes back to consciousness and begins screaming curled in the fetal position.

Davian makes a cursory Heal check on Olivira.

Davian moves her dress to the side to find the cause of where the blood was coming from...

Davian:
You believe that a glass object of some kind was in 'her' and with the aforementioned kick, she shattered the glass into Olivira's uterus. Now healed over the glass would be in the flesh and causing lots of pain as she it technically healed. With your check you could begin the process of removing the glass though you should knock her out first and get a scalpel or other sharp knife.

Lidras looked with distaste at the disfigured fighter and the screaming tiefling. Obviously the forces within the crypt were of the sadistic sort, and were quite powerful.

Through her hysterical screams of pain some how Davian gets through and calms her at least that is what you might think until you see she is out cold once more.

Rosa a magical healing would be best considering the wounds are in his mouth, otherwise it willbe changing bandages by the minute. Though most of his wounds do not appear to be weeping.

Before Davian begins his surgery, the varisian takes a blanket out of one of Grod's saddlebags, and drapes it over Olivira's lower half. Then the desnan finds a nice round pebbles about the size of a thumb nearby, cleans it off, and casts light on it. Davian recommends Annwynn do the same. The cleric then takes the lighted pebble and sticks it halfway in his mouth. With surgical tools in hand, Davian begins the operation.
Considering the injuries are internal, Davian will treat this operation under Treat Deadly Wounds
Heal (with healer's hit): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24 Did not exceed DC by 5 or more, so no Wis modifier. Drat.

Rosa ignores Olivira cry's of suffering, She pays no need as the hidden glass Vile deep inside her shattered to 1000s of blades, each cutting Olivira's most sensitive flesh. Cutting in an agonising torment of and pain and degradation. Rosa dose not look once as Olivira's child like whimpers and screams of suffering rang out. Dose not seem to care as Olivira's blood seeped out on the ground as a testament to the excruciating torture of having each razor sharp shard of glass pulled slowly out of her flesh one by one.

Rosa methodology starts to treat Matthew uncaring of sicking damage she had so cruelly inflicted on a poor, dear, sweet, innocent, honest, kind compassionate, nice, totally trust worthy and goodly child known as Olivira.

For Olivira this was probably one of the worse days of her life, she would carry the scares both mentally and physically of this day for years if not for the rest of her life.

But for Rosa it was just Wednesday.

She uncaring of Olivira as she concentrated on Matthew and the rot that was eating him away, Olivira's screams where just a pleasant sound track to her work.

She slips on some gloves and then takes a sample checking it. She then takes a small vile of her own blood and applying a little with a small spatula says a few words.

Aden is struck by Rosa's total dismissal of her companions concerns, including his own. Stepping toward her as she removes the man's shattered helm, he speaks up at her.

"You answer not my challenge, Rosa, instead offering avoidant manipulation of the question, something solicitors of the Infernal Gate are rather skilled at. To claim everything you do has a reason is simply a way for you to ignore my question and thereby hide from the fault of your very action. You showed blatant disregard for my bearing and my word, and if you would count me an ally in this endeavor, you would do well to respect the varied ideals of your comrades, lest your actions bring you into direct conflict with them because of your presumptuous ignorance. In the past you have struck me as a woman of intense insight and wisdom, not a brash, brutal thug. But perhaps time, and the corruption of Hell, has worn on your sanity. Is that what I am to think?"

She turned going back to her work healing the fighter.

To the likely surprise of the elf, Old Snowbeard addresses Lidras in elven. Sure, the rough voice of the dwarf is not exactly made for the fine syllables of the elven tongue, but he is obviously well-versed in it.

Aden shakes his head in disappointment. In a calm, saddened voice, Aden offers a few words before turning away from the hellspawn. "You still ignore the affront offered by your actions directly making me a liar. I am disappointed that the once-wise Rosa cannot see that. Though your words pose a couple interesting questions for me. I am intrigued how you knew that she had a vile of poison hidden within her, and if indeed it is poison, am further concerned that you did not warn our companion as he acts to perform surgery on the very wound where you say this poison now sits. And perhaps my eyes deceive me, I have never claimed to be one of great vision- he gestures to the large scar across his face and eye, -but I see not a single weapon upon her. The use of poison is not something I look lightly upon, though neither are vile blades, and I am sure the Inheritor would gladly see me destroy that blade you conjure forth so casually toward people's throats... but I respect you enough to stay that action. Think on it. As for now, I will leave you to your ministrations to this wounded man."

Turning toward the dwarf, he responds likewise in elven.

Elven:
"We are all recently brought together as companions. Lidras and I has traveled together as of late, and I have crossed paths with the Lady Rosa in years past on more than one occasion. As to the remaining companions, they are almost as new to me as you are, good sir."

Blocking off the pain and horror around him, the elf focused on the conversation. He waited until the dwarf and halfling had spoken to respond. He did so in Dwarven, despite the fact that his throat could not hope to pronunciation the words properly. The language had been described to him as rolling thunder, or stones rubbing against each other. Still, he did his best.

He is surprised and glad to find that some from the first expedition have survived, though not in much good condition and shocked at the ensuing interactions. Thoughtfully, he stays out of it, also not much help at healing. He had read and now perfectly remembers many books about different anatomies, humanoid and otherwise, but strangely not much about the practical matters of a physician.

He hears his tongue being spoken by the dwarf and listens.

"Unfortunately our employer has chosen skill from too many different places, disregarding potential conflicts. How has your time with the Tiefling been? She seems ill-suited for a tomb."


With Rosa’s steady hands, use of her blood and infernal magics the extra cancerous chunks of flesh begin to fall off. She is done in about a half hour, leaving his dual colored eyes exposed, lips mending, and nose slightly reforming. More administrations would be needed to fully restore his face but the wounds in his mouth are closed and the disease appears mostly taken care of.

It takes several hours but Davian and Annwynn believe all the glass shards are removed. Another magical healing would be best to close the wounds and unfortunetely likely bring her back to consciousness.

Rosa paid no heed to the others, working to get Matthew well. Finally she took one last look.

"Your as fixed as I can get you here. You will live but if you want your looks back. You will need to pay for a restoration"

She packed her healing kit away. Once done she whistled for the Hell hounds. When the came she said simply.

"Follow"

She started to walk out into the scrub lands. As she did she said.

"They need to hunt, I will meet you there."

And with that she was soon out of sight.

Rosa:
He has to double time to keep in pace with Rosa but it doesnt seem to bother him.

The hell hounds run around blasting ground hogs with their fire breaths and clean up a field quickly. They keep at it until Rosa calls them or until all the rodents are dead.


The sun rises much later after 4th watch, a few hours.

At dawn, you find the white-bearded dwarf sitting leaned against a rock, smoking a seriously ornamented wooden pipe and reading in a huge tome, obviously a spellbook.
It is enveloped in green leather which origin one can only guess and is quietly murmuring to himself.
He did sleep during 3rd watch but seems to be awake since then, his eyes like two rock crystals in the darkness of night.
(Ring of sustenance - need only 2h of sleep)

Perception 15:

... wait a sec ... did the white beard just flipped a page for the dwarf?
With one hand holding the book, the other on his pipe, how is he actually reading the book?
There, now you are sure. The beard moved on its own, flipping over another heavily written-on page!

During the night, Davian sleeps near Olivira, in case of any unknown complications. In the morning, the desnan says his morning prayers, and readies himself for the next leg of the journey to the tomb. The varisian is protective about latest patient and travels near the tiefling.

Lidras, caught sight of the living beard and smiled. He had taken a liking to the old dwarf. Learning a language was hard when the native speakers were by their nature distrusting of elves as a whole, doubly so with Lidras due to his appearance. He had been practicing grinding his ᛚ's. He had lived long enough to find the enjoyment in the little things of life such as that. He kept the information of the beard to himself, thought he decided to keep an eye out when hostilities broke out. Seeing a new form of magic in action was such a rare treat, he didn’t want to miss it.

After the commotion finally dies down and Rosa inexplicably leaves camp in the middle of the night because the hounds 'need to hunt' when they were previously sleeping, Serill sighs and goes back to getting his necessary 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep. The last thing he sees while nodding off is... a living beard?

Up early the next morning her keeps looking at the dwarf, wondering if he really saw what he saw. He looks around to see if Rosa had returned or not, then puts her out of his mind and prepares to continue the journey and follow their little lizard guide. "Keep watch, I will stay down here for now." he tells Alagon, his loyal Great Eagle. Raden decides to stay on the ground and follow the lizard again as best he can while being much slower than it.

Rosa came striding back into the camp. she dropped 8 freshly killed ground hogs on the floor, some where still smoking.

"I bought you Breakfast"

She said, then she stood looking at the others, that is all but Olivira. It's was as if the tiefling is not even there for Rosa.

"Michael comes too, they have knowledge we need."

Then she stood there waiting to see what the others would say.

She gets up with the help of the Desnian cleric likely. Once up she takes a few trying steps and shakes her head. With a few arcane words she conjures a floating disc and sits upon it. Then she conjures a mount and tethers the disc to the mount. "Davian if you can ride you can take the mount, otherwise I am sure Matt will ride it again."

As the group gets ready to go, you would notice the goliath still sleeping and shrinking? He is at least a few feet shorter than he was yesterday.


Another half day of travel and the group comes upon a strange sight indeed, a giant of some kind sitting on the top of one of the hills next to a tall dead tree that still gives enough cover for the undead skeleton in armor to be in shade. Who appear to be conversing.

Perception DC 25:
You can see that there are two apples and a pear up in the tree that seem to shimmer when the light hits them just at the right angle. The undead appears to have a breastplate that is covered and infused with bone to add extra protection. The rest of the skeleton has extra bone chunks that seem to act as armor. The greatsword on its back shimmers with magic. The giant appears to have meager clothing but at closer inspection there are quite a few fine items worn. Also its skin at times glows green or white. The dark blue dragon kin flying overhead seem to be enjoying the clouds above too much, you think they might be landing on something in the clouds, also there is likely more than just 3 of the immense beasts with a hooked stinger at the end of their tails.

Perception DC 18:
Three dragon kin of some kind fly up in the clouds. Circling over the tree. Every now and then you can see skeletal hands grasp out of the fog.

A mist surrounds the tall hill. At least 15 feet tall and too thick to see more than a foot into.


Male shocker lizard?

The little lizard has all sorts of baubles and random items collected from the groups gear and zips away...

Lets see what I got away with...:

gems, rings, and other non magical items... Yeah!

He zips back grabbing Raden and then zipping away to a hidden place over several hills. Stopping and showing Raden all the items he collected excitedly, "Ooooh look at this one! This is pretty! This one is soooo shiney! I miss Kiko Shiney. This one she could nicely clean up..."

With Rosa's return from her 'time away', Aden chuckles at the collection of partially charred groundhogs. "Lady Luminass, did you run off just to prepare us a meal?" With a lighthearted pat of her knee (akin to patting the back of an equally sized companion), Aden moves past the other and closes with his past ally. Stepping in close, he gestures for Rosa to bend down, and trusting that she does, whispers, "I agree there is a great deal afoot that we do not understand. Look at the arrangement of our company if you need proof. All I was saying before is I counsel caution of action - sometimes a subtle word can be more effective than a heavy boot, especially as we work to determine our true role in this. Do you trust me?"
