Presuming Davian does not object, he pulls off the top, and pulls a spare from his pouch. He switches out the dirty shirt for a clean one, and pulls out a needle and thread as well. Then, while talking with the cleric, he starts stitching up the cut in the bloody shirt.

"Every hear of a 'Green Cleric'? Ptolemizreon said something about it, and I'm not sure who he was referring to."

Originally Niche had all three fruit in his possession.

After coming victorious from the fog he would walk over to Serill and bow to him.

Then at Niche's question he shakes his helmeted head. Then begins his cumbersome climb. Matthew takes his time and eventually gets a fruit. Taking a 10 on Acrobatics.

Rosa/K Religion DC 25:
You learn that these are 'fruit of the gods'. Potent rewards for defeating a guardian. Typically they will enhance the target with a sacred/holy bonus permenant to one ability score. Though at times more or even to give a unique skill to the victorious hero. If plucked by anyone other than the hero that defeated the guardian the fruit will shrivel up and other guardians will be summoned. Also curses may be bestowed upon the culprit.
Roll 1d8: 1-6 +2 to that ability score. If the ability is not a favored ability for your class you may roll again and gain both +2s.
7: Roll twice and gain a minor bonus.
8. Roll twice and gain a major bonus.

He nods an affirmative/yes to Snowbeard.

Looking at Lidras he sighs knowing he will need to speak, with a calm gravely voice he relays, "I am but a simple adventurer. I kill what I am sent to kill. I hold no claim to her and barely know her. Just as Snowbeard she was more interested in the others of our previous party."

With the fruit safely stowed in a belt pouch he slowly makes his descent. Once with the group once more he pulls out the fruit and looks around, looking at each of you before doing anything else. Once he has looked at each of you he shakes his head and puts the fruit away unless someone gives him a suggestion.

Davian/K Religion DC 30:
A green cleric in the classical sense would be either a cleric of Erastil, of Gozreh, or of the Green Faith. Though there is known to be clerics or other divine casters that just focus on one domain and focus fully upon it, thus clerics of plants or even healing.

A green cleric is also known as a tank of healing. Armored and unarmed ready to charge into battle with his or her allies and focusing on supporting their allies and rather devout about not hurting anyone or any creature.

The giant is now only about 5 feet tall and his visage has changed back to the old wizened goliath. Slowly waking up he pulls from his pack a green cloak and puts it around his body, covering all but his face. Slowly walking with a cane he looks around.

As he hits the three latches to release his helmet he turns from the group and walks a few paces to not be seen by the group. Pulling off the helmet you can see all sorts of scaring on his head. Rosa had worked on him some with her healing and disease removal but there were still quite a bit of work to be done to make him homely. A few bites and growth could be seen. Hair coming in upon his scalp and the flaking of skin to reveal fresh new unscarred skin. He begins to cry. With his free hand he removes the surface skin to release the new growth.

Anyone coming over to him can see that his face has been restored. Tears stream down his face as he happily weeps. The fruit only a bite has been taken from it rests in his palm.

Rosa:
He/Matthew appears to be human, nothing special about him.
Also there was note of a Green Cleric in your orders for this mission. You were suppose to make sure he was apart of the mission you believe.

You can see the old wizened goliath is doing a somatic and murmuring to himself, praying to Sarenrae you believe. The marks of the sun are slightly glowing on his palms yellow.

I did. Sorry for the ret-con. After hearing that he had received a warning abou them before he had picked them, it seemed appropriate to alter that little detail.

Niche eyes the she-devil as she launches skyward towards the Wyverns.

It the mean time, he finds the blade's scabbard (I am presuming it had one, as without, it would have rusted away in the weather). He ties the sheath in place, so it does not slip off while in storage, and then slips it into the pouch at his waist. The sight of a seven foot sword disappearing into a pouch only a foot deep is an odd one, but not too out of place to anyone that has ever seen a Handy Haversack.

He stands up, and addresses everyone gathered, "I'm presuming as neither I nor the quiet fellow had too much difficulty with the guardians, that Rosa will find herself equal to the task as well. Where are you headed next? If there are more challenges here to be faced, I enjoy the prospect of trying my hand against them. Are there any rules I should know of within this group, or should I assume the standard compact; no in-fighting, and equal shares for all that contribute?"

GM Re: Fruit of the Gods:
Might I suggest a change to your rules for the Fruit of the Gods. I tried the rolls, just to see what I would get, and I got a 8 on the first die, which led to basically a runaway cycle of extra rolls that was probably not the intent. (Check out my first Spoiler below for the example. The result was pretty much a whole extra +2 CR Template, which Niche clearly does not need, if we should hope to maintain any semblance of balance.)

Option 1:
Roll 1d8: 1-6 +2 to that ability score. If the ability is not a favored ability for your class you may roll again and gain both +2s.
7: Roll twice and gain a minor bonus, ignoring any further results of 7.
8. Roll twice and gain a major bonus, ignoring any further results of 8.

Option 2:
Roll 1d8: 1-6 +2 to that ability score. If the ability is not a favored ability for your class you may roll again and gain both +2s.

As Rosa ascends on black wings of force, she holds out her hand and her sword appears. She stanches it from the air. Black flame runs down its raiser shape edges.

Niche:
Yes you should make that roll. Yes I did mean Rule Adjustment Option 2. Rosa was correct the post should be in the discussion since you did not add to gameplay such as your character doing something.

The sword would not fit into a Heward's Handy Haversack. It is not a bag of holding.

Rosa's attack was true and cuts deep into the flesh of the beast, though it and the others turn and fly towards her.

Round 1

Will Save for Wyvern: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Two of the wyverns are able to fly by and bite at her this round as the others begin to angle themselves for attacks. One of them snags her side with its vicious teeth.

Most of them angle themselves well to get fly by attacks but they are unable to get past her defenses.

Round 3

The clouds above are displaced and a massive wind buffets those in the wind negating any attacks for this round. A failure of a Fly DC 15 and you fall to the ground. A colossal winged dragon flaps it set of four wings, you can easily hear the heavy chains that hold it to the floating rock above.

If over 300 feet high:
You can see the bronze dragon has extra wings and has bleeding chunks missing from it. The rock below it appears to be covered in blood and a red vegetation of some sort.

And with that, he sits down and produces a thick, leather-wrapped notebook , ink and quill and starts to scribble down notes and several quick but quite-well-matching sketches of the scenery.

Serill is still flying around on Alagon keeping eyes out and observing the Wyverns when Rosa attacks them. That may not have been necessary... He thinks.

"Alagon, attack!" Alagon flies towards Rosa and they join the battle, Serill waits to cast Haste when Rosa is within range just before Alagon closes with a wyvern.

His fly speed is 110, hoping too fast for the wyverns.

As Alagon flies past, one of Serill's hands grows talons and feathers identical to an Eagle and he attacks one from the back of his mount.

Rosa ignores the snaps of the little worms, She lets her sword drink more life.

Then a wall of wind hits her.

The bronze dragon its four wings beating, chained and blood coming from it.
She took in the sight. Good it may be, but it is a being of great law as well. A great weapon in the fight to stop Chaos bound so. Cold hard anger filled her.

She calls her sword to her, and flies toward it, into her hand it comes, black flames blazed

Far below they can hear Rosa bellow.

Serill, there is a massive floating rock that the dragon is chained down onto. There is not a rock above it.

I am going to take liberties seeing what you have already done.

Those flying above:
The dragon flexes its freed wing and then snaps it releasing the feathers which seem to be serrated as they cut down one of the wyvern's wings and it plummets to the ground.

Rosa focuses on taking down the chains and soon the wyverns are fleeing as several of their number have begun to plummet to the ground having their wings shredded by massive golden feathers. Some of these feathers are still stuck in their destroyed wings. Some chunks of chain fall as well, each link being about a foot long. Everyone on the ground, take 3d6 damage of falling debris, Reflex DC 18 for half.

Those flying above:
Now with the wyverns gone, the rest of the work freeing the massive bronze dragon is easily done by Rosa's adamantine blade. It sits up and its eyes glow golden as it looks down upon the standing Rosa. After a bit of coughing it seems to get its words out, "Ehhh... grr... achk! Than... Thank you for. For that display and my freedom. You may ask of me one task or keep the favor for a later date. I am Starblaze and what is the name of my releaser?"

The three dragons that land are very agitated and move towards the group... two from the South East and the third from the North. Snapping jaws and growls come from the beasts as they advance.

Niche is seated, leaning against the dead tree with his head tilted back so he can watch what is going on overhead, at least in as much as it is visible. When the debris starts to fall, he continues looking up, a somewhat lazy look in his eye, and shuffles his buttocks over about half his width so he is leaning against a different part of the tree. A moment later, a piece of stone about the size of a human torso hits the ground where he had been sitting. The rock strikes a root, and bounces away at an angle.

When the dragons appear on the ground, he stands and appraises them.

Those Flying Above:
Starblaze nods his head and laughs a bit before vocalizing, ”Yes, that is very orderly and acceptable. Until that day take any of my feathers that you can find here or below. Also keep one with you, running electricity through it will make me know of your call for aid, should you not have another means to do so. Do you by chance have any healing, my wounds will mend but any magical healing would be appreciated.”

Once the healing is no longer supplied or until 50 hit points is cured the massive (garganuan or even collosal) dragon thanks again and then flies off.

The three wyverns on the ground move forward towards the group. These dragonkin are blue for the most part, giant stingers at the end of their tails, and big gapping maws.

Lidras, there was combat in the sky because Rosa attacked them. Now there is combat on the ground because the wyverns are mad and aiming to take it out on you. If at least two people do not fight the wyverns on the ground I will randomly pick who they go after.

Seeing Rosa soar and fly up he is dishearted that he can’t follow her. Then as the dragons fall to the ground he gobbles up the fruit fully, secures his helmet and begins to charge the duo before him. Pulling his greatsword from his back he gets ready to do a side swing to possibly attack both of them.

Now fighting the dragons takes him out of the range of the debris. He dodges a few attacks but with four attacks from each per round he is quickly overcome with bleeding wounds. A small flint of light can be seen flashing over him after he takes a wound. He continues moving in and out to keep the wyverns guessing how he will attack next, he is rather mobile with such heavy armor.

Perception DC 18:
A small blue and silver floating box is hovering near his shoulder and apparently healing him a little each round.

Perception DC 23:
You can hear it speaking to him, alerting him to attacks, suggesting dodges, and weak points for Matt to target. Based on several rounds.

Leaving at least one person to take on the other one coming from the North.

Male shocker lizard?

The little lizard zips into your group as the debris begins falling. He appears to be about to be smashed by a chunk of chain... does anyone try to help the little lizard?

If rescued, Dex check DC 15 or take full debris falling damage:
"Ah thank you!" it says in its little adorable voice.

If not rescued:
Checking under the chain you find no blood, lizard, or anything but a hole from where the chain landed.

After being 'rescued' the lizard comes over to the aging goliath and sighs... "Lidras, you need to touch him once a day to keep that demon's aging curse at bay... or I can zap him!"


Those Flying Above:
In his raspy voice still like he has not spoken in a good length of days, "How did I get here? Well that is a long story. To sum it up I was tricked, poisoned, and then chained. This is cursed land. A cruel joke of a mischievous god, I dare not speak his name to bring his attention, I bleed and provide sustenance for the tree below. Some kind of magical connection. Destroy the tree and you will gain my favor more, though you might summon the god too. The choice is yours and I will be off before anything befalls it."

The combat of the wyverns and Matthew is well on its way... without help he will likely fall. Though first someone should do something about the blue one to the North.

She went to a another wound to heal.

"Below my fellows have eaten of that tree, fruit four fold. All but one has been taken. I wanted to know the price for there gifts and now I know."

She worked on another round, and carefully took a feather, tucking it away. As she did she said.

"The Lord of the Hells, will never be a god, he/she has said so him/her-self many times. For the Hell's span the multiverses and where ever they are, so they stand as a barrier keeping reality it self safe. Even Gods themselves need our protection lease they lose all to ever changing madness."

She finished off

"So if as you say I am in the play-ground of a god, then I will know what that god is and what they stand for."

Then she was done.

"Fly then Great Starblaze, for I mean to strike that tree down and call this god in doing so"

As the Dragon flies off, A black streak of flame falls from above.

Niche grins as a new challenge presents itself, and he charges at the solitary wyvern to the north. As he nears it, his fist begins to glow with green discordant energy.

Once Niche gets to the wyvern it attacks back with its stinger, bite and thrashed wings to little avail compared to the damage he inflicted with one strike. It on its last legs its eyes get large.

Rosa cuts a swave down the tree. Now she knew her blade wound sunder it. She superhero lands and dust flow up as her feet impacted the ground. The large black wings on her back beat once blowing the dust away, then folded in on themselves until they where gone from view.
Her Hell blade out, behind her the tree bleed goo.

"Let us dispatch these worms quickly. Then if what the great Bronze Dragon above told me is true. By felling this tree, we may be able to call the god whose playground this place is."

She stands and holds her blade ready.

As the battle in the sky gets more serious and rock starts to fall, Old Snowbeard claps shut the book with a groin and side-steps a major rock during the process of stowing it in his backpack.

Eying the not-dragons, he rumbles a series of arcane-empowered sylabylls and starts to grow to twice the size of your average dwarf.
Once grown, he takes a few steps towards the drake near the funny speaking cleric.

Niche defends himself as the dragonid's attacks come in, batting aside the barbed tail strike with an open handed parry. None of the other attacks require a counter, as none carries any real risk of striking him. Instead, the giant merely moves his body slightly this way or that, allowing the strikes to go past without hitting, and costing him only minimal effort.

As it retaliates, he smiles at it once, and then launches a rapid one-two combo, first with one foot and then the other.

Snowbeard, you can see that Niche has the single one easily taken care of on his own. You could go help Matthew or see it get finished off.

The wyvern gets its attacks in but seem to miss every time. Then the monk one-two combos the wyvern into a bloody mess before it. Several golden feathers about three feet each are stuck in the wings of the wyvern. Meanwhile Matthew looses his footing and is caught up in one of the dragon's mouth while being stung with the stingers to the South East.

He shrieks at Rosa's appearance and shrieks even louder after she says what is happening. Then shocking the goliath it bolts away like a lightning bolt grabbing his little friend Revan if there is no resistance.

He shakes as the shock hits him and a few moments later the aging melts away, the clothing being replaced by his leather loin cloth, the walking stick turning into his massive weapon. Standing he looks to Rosa and asks, "Ready for another absurd battle?"

Back up to his normal height he raises his large goliath warhammer and charges into battle trying to aid Matthew. On the way he invokes a word under his breath and instantly he is covered in a dark black full plate mail. His armor seems to absorb light like Rosa's blade.

With that her 16' frame leaps into the air, as it does her black force wings shoot out behind her slowing her descent as she came back to the ground. Her great hell blade raised then fell. Down into the side of one of the remaining worms. Black flame filled the air where it passed and sank in.

"Don't 'Old Man' me in my true form, plus a kiss from you would keep me in this prime body! Bring forth the PAIN!" He yells as he swings again missing the first time, at least not solidly connecting to truly do any damage.

Under his breath he curses and says, "Wow my luck has been taken out of me!" Moving about to see if he can flank with Rosa.

Shouting out and sounding a bit tinny as his loud voice rebounds withing the helm some as well, "Ole Snowbeard, could you give me a hand with this little dragonling... it seems to have a hold of me!"


The wyverns drop Matthew's limp body to the ground and focus on the new threats, one for Rosa and the other for Aukan. The one aiming at Rosa misses with its four attacks but she makes a bleeding wound upon it. Aukan has missed twice now and it has torn into him several times. After DR Aukan takes 10 damage and is grappled by the wyvern.

The next round Rosa's defenses hold out again, as a lucky wing hurts him just a little, 1 damage.
