Nerrot might be able to make use of the Bag of holding and could probably hold onto a healing potion in case he ever gets knocked out cold by a flying hag again. Though I discovered that Kanpo at level five now has the ability to share damage like a shield other spell, so Nerrot has a second pool of hit points, though the little guy shouldn't really be using it too much.

Equipment wise, there's not much else he could use, the ring of protection is nice, but Nerrot's not really the best choice for it. He has a cloak of resistance already, and doesn't need yet another thing to do in combat.

How much gold are we supposed to be getting? We should be 5th correct and then the chronicle is to be applied to the character of our choice right?

If my understanding is correct, am I not seeing the Chronicles?

Finally leveled him, bought a belt of dex and took the quenching infusion. I think that would be a good thing on a ship.

FAQ Says:

Empower Spell: If I use Empower Spell on a spell that has a die roll with a numerical bonus (such as cure moderate wounds), does the feat affect the numerical bonus?

Yes. For example, if you empower cure moderate wounds, the +50% from the feat applies to the 2d8 and to the level-based bonus.

So you wouldn't add it to the attack, but everything in your damage would be +50% including static bonuses.

How would that look in a PbP calculation?

Depends on the boards (I'm willing to bet that Board Game Geek has a way of doing this with their tricked out dice roller) but here I think the most common way to do that is to roll the dice and then add the total damage in an [ ooc ] tag

Empowered Example: 50% More Example with every Example!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 Total Example is 30.

Full text says it'll help you stay steady, but won't let you walk on water.

You can move across wet and icy surfaces without needing to attempt Acrobatics checks due to slipperiness, including across areas under the effects of the slick wild talent. Additionally, you are immune to seasickness.

It's not an acrobatics check against slipperiness to fall in the water, you just do.

Hey everyone,
You might have noticed I haven’t posted in a long while (okay it’s only been two weeks at most but in PBP time that can still be a while.) I didn’t have an amazing and earth shattering emergency or reason for not posting, which would have made this easier to post. Life just got… busy and stressful.

I knew some stress would be coming and that I might be a bit busy, but things well exceeded what I thought. At first I was just busy (and to be honest, a little lazy) and didn’t post for a day or two, but things starting snowballing and I soon realized I hadn’t posted for days and needed to post something longer and more explanatory than a quick apology, but I didn’t have the time, motivation, or emotional fortitude.

One thing I sometimes do when stressed is become avoidant of some things, especially things that are emotionally charged. Last week was one of the most emotionally draining weeks I have had in a long time. Monday started with seeing a friend of four years off because she has stage four cancer and had to go back to the UK. I had to say goodbye to students and teachers I have taught/worked with for years (which can happen any year but was harder than usual this year.) Having to say goodbye to people is something I handle terribly and I was often going home drained and not wanting to do anything or just wanting to sleep. Additionally, the longer I went without posting here the guiltier I felt about it, which made me want to push this off further.

I shouldn’t have stopped posting here and I am truly sorry if I have made anyone wait, slowed down games at all, or have caused you any worry. I am physically okay, and will be emotionally okay, and work has slowed down some (next week might pick up a little but nowhere near what it was.)

I'm invested in this game and want to see it to the end, and Nerrot has been one of my favorite characters to play a times. If it's okay with everyone I would love to continue playing him, but would understand if people have any objections to that.

Sorry to hear about your coworker with cancer. We've had plenty of that to go around in my circle the last few years as well. Sucks to deal with, and I hate to say it, but I think most of us are now going to go down that road in our lives. I hope your friend does well with the treatment or at least enjoys what time they have left.
