We're doing it campaign mode so if it's OK with the GM, Mort can play with his "twin" brother.

Mort, what do you wanna do? Wanna get your character revied? Make a new one? Raise dead isn't TO expensive, and the captain could be convinced to stop by a populated island, and Yvonne can use gentle repose to keep your body fresh until a higher level priest can do the job.

How does that work with 'the real' Mort vs this shadow copy?
I haven't had much experience with dying in PFS. This is my second and my first was my goblin in the goblins series.

The "Real" mort is unaffected by the happenstances because Shadow Mort is being played in campaign mode. Heck, if you wanted to you could quit now and get full EXP and prestige for part 2 with no negatives on it.
Now, because this is campaign mode, prestige isn't an option to bring you back... ya gotta use actual cash/sell items, though your comrades are allowed to help you with that. Since none of this affects your "Real" characters, they'll get that money back at the end anyways, but just be without it for the rest of the adventure.
Think of this as a dream... it's real enough to those still inside it, but nothing happens to the "Real" you except for the mysteriously appearing pile of gold and EXP for completing the dream sequence.

Alright. I guess selling off gear. What is the cost? Mort has basically all his $$ sunk into Mindy and his armor so I guess I'll be selling his mithril breast plate and going with something cheaper.

5,450 GP for both spellcasting service and have 2 negative levels. You can buy a restoration spell for 1200 every week in game that passes to remove a negative level.

So we're looking at 7,850g in total cost? Selling all my gear at half cost I don't think I could hit that number.
Perhaps I should just roll another character up. Any particular holes we'd be short on? Chef and Mort both filled similar roles.

Looking through things I'd say we need a skill person more than a healer. Yvonne is cleric 4 and Nerrot can heal as well. I think I'll just remake him maybe into a Ranger that can melee or ranged and can at least tap a wand.

Against Elves? That could be a stretch... luckily, he hates basically anyone who isn't an Ulfen so... Kellids are ok, so Chef is safe on that front.

Was that fight the end of book 2 or beginning of book 3? I might have an irl friend who has only played parts 1 and 2 who may be able to join us.

That fight was the middle of book 2. :( You still have a bit to go to finish book 2... several big fights left, depending on how you handle things. Wouldn't mind letting your friend join if they want though.

Well Mort is dead, and it doesn't look like hes coming back. Yvonne mentioned a friend might join us but if we don't hear from GM_Starson by tomorrow i'll shoot them a PM. Worse case scenario i can beg my friend to take over from here when he gets back from paizocon.

Sorry guys, I just got done with a convention AND started a new job... thought I would have more bandwith than I do, and unfortunatly, not only is Paizo blocked at the new job, but my desk is in a bloody deadzone, so I can't post except by mobile on breaks when I can walk away from my desk. Sadly, this will slow my posting, though i'm happy to continue on. Just be patient while i get my head on straight and figure out if we have more people for this game or not.

I hate to say it, but this game may have just officially disintigrated. Trying to run module material with 3 is gonna be a VERY tall order.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the disappearance, went through a move at the begining of the month and with the loss of internet at home and crazy work schedule (and guilt of not posting for a while) I couldn't get something posted.
I'm going to try being better about posting when I'm busy, and have had quite a few games finish up so posting from a very slow phone connection at home won't be a major pain in the neck!
