Tagalong uses:
Beginning on the second round of any combat, a PC may order a single follower to assist her as a move action. If she succeeds at a DC 12 Diplomacy or Intimidate check, she gains a +2 aid another bonus on her next check, or to her Armor Class for 1 round.

The various refugees can also assist with their limited skills, such as using Heal checks to patch up the PCs between encounters, or even rush into battle if things look dire (though any NPC is unlikely to survive even a single blow from a trained soldier).

New Features:

Black Blade - I gain a powerful sentient weapon called a black blade. It is a Scimitar, but the blade is all black. It is independtly conscious, but features some personality traits reflecting its wielder. Always the same Alignment as me. Works toward my goals, but now always without argument or backlash. Each Black Blade has a mission, this is up to GM to determine. If it shares it or not. Some are very open about their mission, some are secretive.

Black Blade: Arcane Pool - The sword gains its own Arcane pool 1 + Int bonus.

Black Blade: Strike - As a free action I can use a point from my sword's pool to add +1 bonus to damage rolls for 1 minute.

Black Blade - Telepathy - While I carry the blade I can communicate telepathically with the blade in a language we share. (Common, Draconic, Gnoll, Goblin, Orc are my options)

Black Blade - Unbreakable - If it has at least 1 point it is immune to the broken condition.

Questions for GM
How do we want to go about bringing this sword into the game? I currently have a Masterwork Cold Iron Scimitar. This sword can transform/turn into the black blade. Maybe hit by lightning during the storm.. etc. Or I can just find a new sword.. Or it just shows up in my sleep.

Are you cool with me handling the personality and talking of the sword? Harg is likely going to be really confused at first, and the sword will only slowly talking, not be chatty sword to start with.

How do you want to handle the sword's mission? The sword can either be secretive, or vocal (to me) about it.

It would be cool to have the sword appear buried in a tree or rock as if the storm slammed it into it! (or Edran's corpse!? ...We did leave his corpse out.)

When I blew up the rock, that would have also been a great moment for the sword to appear too (although probably deadly for someone it fell on...)

Looks like a messed up a bit. I used Arcane Pool to make my weapon Keen, since I already have a +1 weapon (Black Blade), this is totally doable, but not till level 5.

So what did happen:
I keen weapon. Crit, did double damage on weapon and spell.

What should have happened:
Still hit, but didn't crit (rolled a 17 and my crit range is 18-20 on this blade). SO I would not have done the crit damage.

I don't think it matters in this instance. I bet I still killed the guy with justt he shocking grasp and sword swing.

Just wanted to bring it up. I will modify the keen to just +1. So its a +2 Scimitar right now.

My AC 15, and I am mostly an up front character. I will eventually be able to wear Medium armor, but not till level 7. I try to cast shield when I think its going to be helpful, but I am limited on spells.

I can see where it is a poison, but I'm not seeing/finding the stats on it.

If no one else wants them I will take some if not al of them as possible ammo. Its possible I can TK them at enemies later in the game or similar?

@GM Fez--Braden gets an animal companion at Level 4 from his Animal domain. Are you okay if he takes a Megaloceros? I thought getting a stag companion from Erastil was fitting.

Does anyone have ideas on what skills Braden should take? He gets a mess of skill points due to an Int boost. Adding some knowledge skills to take advantage of his high Int. Also will take a point in Craft (shelter) with the idea that he's been taught how to do so over the many days.

Sooo...I can now lift boulders and large trees! With my engineering skill I should be able to build some larger/more sturdy shelters once we find a safe place to actually do it.

Thanks, Fez! Let's try to build this out. It's going to be very weak right now, but it'll get better after Braden takes Boon Companion at Level 5.

How do you want to handle animal companion HP? Same rules as the rest of us, or something different? I'll roll his second hit dice assuming same rules.

Hey, I added Breastplate +1 to my inventory. I'm returning Masterwork Breastplate to the pool of loot.

FYI, I don't need to claim 3 commoners to convert to adepts, especially if someone else has plans for them. I would be happy with a single adept if that's preferable to the rest of the group. Right now, between Harg's 4 warriors and my 3 adepts, we would have claimed all 7 remaining commoners. I want to make sure that Govrina and Vraxis can feel free to train up some folks too.

Yeah I just grabbed the 4 warriors. But others can grab them too, I imagine. I am going to work on some experts later. We will need to alchemical, blacksmiths, etc too.
