Byron you think this false door is symbolic nature of the false door. It symbolizes a threshold between the lands of the living and the dead.
| GM DeadlySecret - society |
Still between the two of you, you can't lift this slab as it seems too heavy. You also get the feeling it wasn't ment to be lifted or removed.
Lucky Luli

"Hmm," Luli says thoughtfully. "What about these side rooms? Maybe there's something useful in there?"
Byron Milibanke-Grears

Byron will relay the information about the false door and cast detect magic. Then i'll examine the false door and the slab.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
| GM DeadlySecret - society |
Byron detects magic on the false door. One of the prayers seem to emit magic.
The southern chapel (left) contains a statue of a lean man with the head of an animal with a curved snout and erect squared ears.
The northern chapel (right) holds a statue of a strong, powerful man with a falcon's head topped with a solar disk.
[spoiler=Read Magic]This is a scroll of Searing Light.
I am used to real table top players being active and telling me what they do and what they want to see. They get creative and come up with things I wouldn't just assume they do, but that just doesn't seem to happen the same way in PbP, so I'm changing my format to get this moving.
What do you do?
Lucky Luli

After examining the prayer, Luli turns to the group. "It looks like a method to remove a curse - good to know if something terrible should happen," he says cheerfully.

"The figure in the southern room is Set. God of darkness and deserts. Unsavory fellow. Begging your pardon." Byron makes a (somewhat sarcastic) show of genuflecting towards the statue.
"Regrettably, I'm not sure who the other gentleman is."
"I believe that false door masks an actual door. Clever, that. I believe I see the mechanism to open it, if we'd like to continue on."

Helena frowns at Gaellin's jokes.
"Gaellin, don't take the Martyr's blessing in vain. Katsu once you have examined the doorway, lets move on."
Helena will take up position, ready to move forward if a threat presents itself.
Gaellin
|
"Helena, you know me too well," Gaellin says playfully as he swirls his waterskin with a flourish. "Martyr knows I am a far too vain! You know, if I spent less time admiring myself in the mirror, I'd have been far more useful up to now."

An elaborately decorated sarcophagus stands among the heaped treasures and offerings in this burial chamber. Ancient Osiriani hieroglyphs on the walls proclaim this to be the tomb of Pharaoh Sekh-pa-Mefer Ill, the Pharaoh of Sphinxes.
The western side of the secret door leading into this chamber is engraved with a series of five carvings.
When the secret door opens and you start to get sights of the room, the sarcophagus begins to open. You see the mummified remains of some sort of humanoid.

”Hmmmm, something carved into the wall here. Feels like. . . A man. . . A woman. . . A sheep? No-a ram. A dog or, uh, jackle maybe? And a bird of some sort, maybe a falcon. Anyone know what those mean? I am not trained in Osirian history.”
