Jorani misses, but Magnar jabs with his longspear and kills it.
Magnar calls upon the power of Torag to heal Geim.
"How did wolves get into town? Let us alert some guards, then continue to the temple."
Panting, Kílien attempts to steady herself after the sudden ambush. "Those animals seemed to come out of nowhere. Are there any more nearby?"
"Aye, awfully odd that so many would make it into town. Hmmpph, we better move on. Time's a wastin'"
”Aye, ‘tis very strange, if we see the guard, we can bring it up.” Jorani readies to move on with the party.
You make your way to the temple, where you are greeted by a cute young woman who says "Hello there, what can I do for you?"
"Greetings. I am Magnar of Highhelm, a priest of Torag. May I ask your name? Are you a servant of the Inheritor?"
She says "I do indeed worship the ineritor, my name is Tyari Varvatos and I am the high priestess here at the sanctuary."
Satisfied, Magnar explains the situation.
"The guardsman Rodrik was murdered last night. The assassins tried to make it seem like a suicide with a note, but the handwriting does not match Rodrik's. We have a suspicion that he was investigating something and was killed because of what he found. His betrothed, Brinya, said he had a journal of his investigations and used to come here to write. We thought you might have seen this journal, or that we might be permitted to search for it."
She shrugs "I don't know about a journal, but he often came here to talk to Ketrezka the Seer, a long time half-orc resident."
"May we speak to this Ketrezka?"
"Did you know Rodrik? Did he have any enemies?"
