"Are you all right in there? I can barely see you!"
Once again Cloudia lets loose the effective missile of force, targetting the same figure as before, sensing that one more magic missile is all that is needed to put it down.

Sorry everyone. The typhoon that hit our country left some serious damage in our area. We have no power for a few days now. I'm posting from work and I'll try to catch up with what's been happening.

Cloudia's previous target was already taken out by Mao, so I'll redirect the missile to the next target.
Cloudia shoots a magic missile at a fresh target(blue), almost putting it to rest.

Miraculously the open poison bottle lands on the pile of grain without spilling or breaking!.

Wow, hope everything is alright with you and your loved ones.
Mao continues to wander through the fog and tries to look for Aurus. He readies his fist to attack the first hostile creature to approach him.
The fog isn't that dense. It's just 20% miss chance on ranged attacks (no matter how many squares of fog you fire through).
You easily spot Aurus in the pile of grain and you can make out he's still quite alive and kicking.

Is he literally kicking :)
It looks like my former steed has found some hay. he says with a laugh.

There is no opponent next to you, so I'll let you use that roll to break free of the grain instead

Did he pick up the vial? Because if he did not and the others do not hit the operative at least one, Cloudia is going to grease the vial. If, on the other hand they do manage to mangle it, she will trust in a magic missile to take it down. In other words, delay until the others have gone.

Thinking quickly, and figuring th evial must be important, Cloudia steps into the room and casts a DC 16 grease spell on the vial.

Yargos Gill joins you.
"You destroyed the Black Echelon and managed to prevent them of poisoning the grain with their awful gut wither poison!"
He sees the single opened vial and says: "Close that quickly! We don't want it airborne!"
I'm assuming Cloudia will dismiss the grease before anyone tries to pick it up to close it
Nine more ceramic vials of Gut Wither are still in an ancient rusted metal chest.
"Ok, back to the mission! Let's get to Grandmaster Torch"

GM Auke |

Desperate to find Nessian, Yargos takes you into the sewer maze of the Puddle District, a waterlogged labyrinth of dangerously flooded tunnels known as the Siphons. There you find the receiving room of Grandmaster
Torch, one of Absalom’s most notorious information brokers. Yargos warns you that Grandmaster Torch has powerful friends and bodyguards and that they would be wise to keep their weapons sheathed.
After requesting an audience, you are brought before the Grandmaster.
Grandmaster Torch lounges in a shallow pool nursing horrible burn scars that cover his entire body, while two servants gently recycle the water over his charred form. Two heavily armored, half-orc bodyguards remain close at hand.
With a soft spoken voice he says
"Welcome Pathfinders, how can I be of assistance?"

![]() |

In a dramatic voice, Cloudia responds, "We have to find Nessian. He is putting the entire city at risk. We could all die!"

GM Auke |

In a dramatic voice, Cloudia responds, "We have to find Nessian. He is putting the entire city at risk. We could all die!"
"I indeed know where the upstart Nessian has carved out his new base of operations. I'm a bit reluctant to sell this information, as ratting out a potential future underworld leader of Absalom might be dangerous in itself. My normal price for such a thing would be around 6,000 gp, which a group of yours is unlikely to afford."

![]() |

"Well, you got that right, nor do I feel much like paying criminals and disaster profiteers," Aurus says with barely concealed contempt. "But you got a different offer, don't ya?"

GM Auke |

"Well, you got that right, nor do I feel much like paying criminals and disaster profiteers," Aurus says with barely concealed contempt. "But you got a different offer, don't ya?"
"That's quite an accusation coming from a pathfinder. More than once I have heard those referred to as murder hobos. Things I could tell you about the Decemvirate would have a good soul as yourself question the wisdom of donning the rune of the open road, but that's another story. Let us indeed try a simple test and see if you are up to the task of stopping a potential disaster."
"I’ve recently come into possession of a series of safes. Unfortunately, the safecracker I employed has turned out to be quite useless. If you can coax even three of the five safes open, I could be persuaded to disclose Nessian’s location and dispense with my regular fee entirely. These chests are remarkably unique and I have the foreboding suspicion that, in this case, the receptacles just might be worth more than their contents, so I’d rather you didn’t smash them open. Oh! One more thing: if my diviner warns me you have crossed me and stolen the contents, there will be repercussions."

![]() |

"We'll keep our end of the bargain. But what's the catch here? I'm guessin' these chests ain't just sitting in your back room awaiting our attentions."

GM Auke |

"We'll keep our end of the bargain. But what's the catch here? I'm guessin' these chests ain't just sitting in your back room awaiting our attentions."
"Indeed, the safes are not my back room, but in one of my side rooms."
Torch points to a door.
"There's no catch, except if you don't succeed, you'll have to go back to your precious logde and find some of your colleagues who are more capable and are able to prove themselves. If you can't beat a couple of boxes, how will you fare against Nessian and his goons."
As you go through the door Grandmaster Torch pointed to you enter a small room with 5 safes:
Feel free to pick a box and interact with it. Any character can potentially open any safe.

Inside the box is a collection of material components for a wealth of spells (value 500 gp but 70 lbs. of weight)
