I would like to thank you greatly for selecting me to play in this group. I do not need to take a feat to level it up as once I reach level 12, it will automatically increase to reach my level. (I am the "Beast-Master" Arch-type from the Advanced Players Guide)
Okay, so I have been selected. So how does everybody want me to do this? Focus on Melee or Long Range? I would like to make any changes before we start actually playing. Which do we have more of, Close or Long range characters?

Vorik Torgrimson |

Thanks for the opportunity to join.
Vorik's character sheet and background have been posted in his profile for reference.
Jaestra, if it helps, Vorik is a pretty straight melee/close in fighter (Not much of a surprise there). But which ever direction you would most enjoy playing works for me. :)

I like the idea of both Long and Close range. But I need to focus in 1 over the other, due to my Combat Style. So once I have selected which style to go for, I can alter my traits and equipment, so as to be more focused on that.
Ah, Solos just in case you need (or want) to know, my time zone is GMT : 0 (I live in England)

Thanks for the spot! It was many interesting concepts. I've been dying for Kingmaker for quite a while now.
As I said earlier; this is more a melee-character even though he's a follower of of Erastil. I will however be decent both ranged and melee. (Despite the fact that I can't afford a bow right away if I want that Chain shirt I'm thinking of)
In general this guy is versatile enough to handle several roles in combat, and survival and diplomacy out of combat. A wildcard that can either take the lead with some actions, or support a more suited character.
Also, if anyone has a suggestion for a second feat, I'm all ears. Something as simple as Persuasive is what I'm thinking about, but there are no doubt better choices out there. Combat Reflexes also seems sound, combined with some Teamwork feats later on.
Speaking of which: if people are into Teamwork feats, remember that the Inquisitor qets quite a few - From 3rd level I will always get the full benefit of them (which in some cases will give team mates extra options and actions), but you might not.

Jaestra Gelabraes |

I enjoy Teamwork feats and will probably try to get at least 1 at some point. It seems so far we have 2 characters who are more Melee than range, so at the moment it would seem that another character would be more effective.
Lets see, another feat at level 1...There is Weapon Focus, Skill Focus or the Combat Reflexes. But they are just my opinions.
....Okay, I have decided. I am going to go for a long range Ranger and have the ability to fight in close combat.

I took Knowledge geography (which I think you would need to make a map)and bought a map makers kit so that I could make maps. I suppose they might appear a bit amatuerish, but it should get the job done since I ran out of points before I could take it professionally. The kits are listed in the equipment section if you want to buy one as well.

I quickly glanced at your profile. Noticed that you are an Orlovsky. In the Kingmaker Players guide there is a map with the Houses domains on. There are the following Cities, Sky Watch, Stone Climb and Eagles Watch. So I am sure you could think of something along those lines for a town.
Did you manage to decide what your feat would be?

Reevaluating....
Examining current party...
Human Paladin (Melee),
Half-elf Ranger (Melee + Range),
Human Wizard (Support type),
Human Inquisitor (Skills, Melee, Support),
Human Cleric (...).
Examining Environment...Jungle, Wilderness.
Processing through character options and configurations.
Options:
Barbarians/Paragons (2)
Barbarian/Rangers(1)
Cleric/Monk(1)
Sorcerer/DD(1)
On Standby....
and took notes
1) 3.5 Half-Dragon template +2CR, +3LA, refer MM page 146-147
2) Pathfinder Runs on CR, not LA, refer Bestiary page 313-314,
3) Game Mastery Guide page 51,
3.5 Content in pathfinder to match power have 3 options
a) decrease CR by 1
b) Add advanced Template
c) Give 2 feats
So the 3.5 Half-Dragon Template in PF is +1 CR using option 1.
But to avoid a vast power gap early, I am suggesting in letting the Half-dragon racial class be combined with a base class for the first 3 levels.
so it is;
ClassLVL1+Racial(1+2) (1, only does a +2 to perception and disguise)
ClassLVL2+Racial(3)
ClassLVL3+Racial(4)
Also remember I am tossing out the Natural attacks (3 RP points in ARG playtest, but it is about 1 or 2 points more) for the character to take more after the human side.
I am also looking at an odd feat Jotunbrod from Races of Faerun (page 166)
and the Fullblade from the Arms and Equipment guide (page 6-7).

Gaddak Orlovsky |

Might I toss in: Rogue *cough cough* (or any archetype that grants Trapfinding). Granted, I run a table-top group that does just fine without a rogue, but that's purely because of luck not the absence of traps (and believe me, I've tried!) haha :)
Oh, and I picked Combat Reflexes, so when we get some Teamwork feats going, I'd be happy to pick ones with AoO synergy.

my theory is that azure, is actually a computer designed by paizo and let loose to playtest different character classes for them.
I think the feat (gives powerful build, yes?) + fullblade option would make you a bit overwhelming. In addition, the base template breath weapon, as i recall would be an extremely powerful option, even at 3rd level.
Otherwise, I agree that spreading the templates benefits over several levels would be better for game balance.
Other members if you have suggestions or opinions please chime in.

Maybe just pick something then that doesn't duplicate too many other skills or abilities of current party members? I can't say that I care for your mentioned options so far.
And just wondering why you type the way you do to sound like a computer it's rather annoying.
I have been programming for a good while now (yay, debug consoles),
it rubbed off on me a BIT.*That and organising my thoughts.
*Yes, It's a pun

Jotunbrod is pretty much powerful build,
but remember the Size modifiers were changed from 3.5 to PF, (from +4 to +1)If concerned about breath weapon (remember I can only use it ONCE per day and I would not fire it if party members are in the way, and HECK it's a forest / plains, IF I use it, I COULD light the whole place a blaze, so I would be restricted to using it under ground, on mountains, or over large bodies of water.)
Fullblade is greatsword, but 2d8 damage, and REQUIRES an exotic weapon prof to use, that and given it's size I CAN NOT use it underground or in tight spaces.

Jaestra Gelabraes |

I think using the Fullblade is an exotic idea, one that I think is quite cool. The restriction are a bit annoying, but with the damage and ease of being able to use it, it makes it a fair trade.
I think being able to use a Large sized Full blade is a bit too much though, but that is just my opinion.
I take it you are planning a melee based character? Which would be good considering we are losing a melee character.

Gaddak Orlovsky |

I have no idea what jotunbrod is, but the fullblade is any two handed fighter's wet dream.(A side note on weapon and size damage, though: Damage is based on the weapon size, not the character size, but when you buy a weapon of a certain type, you buy the size fitting for you. Thus, I don't think base damage would increase with enlarge person?)
I'm also a little interested in the half-dragon story. So far we have somewhat classic pathfinder characters that are quite rooted in Golarion. A half dragon sure would be the odd man (gal) out, so to speak.

Backstory:
(Sorry, Still finding name for character, or if it sucks in certain parts)
Her mother (Ayla) was a dragon, cursed into human form, but retained the abilities (incomplete or fragmented spell).
And was also hunted and had to leave her lair and hoard behind her,
Which really cheesed her.
Ayla went northward and fainted from hunger, since she could not fly to hunt, was not as fast as she was and could not catch up to her prey.
She was saved by an Ulfen man (Odin) of 16 years.
She thought about taking advantage of the scenario and Odin, things happened over time (sorry writers block here).
Her plan of taking advantage backfired, for she started to see and feel something she hadn't before, it was love for her rescuer Odin.
She married him, and during honeymoon night they drank a bottle of 100 year old Love Wine.
About two years later a daughter was born, She looked very human, likely the result of a side effect of the curse and a human father, but she was still a half-dragon.
A time passes and Alya's pursuers tracked her down and killed Odin.
Alya flees with her daughter to a trusted friendly clan.
Ayla leaves her daughter in the care of a trusted friend named Titania Rosewood.
A few days later Ayla's body is found dead, from weapon attacks.
Ayla left a few things for her daughter including a message
"Before I was forced into human form, I felt empty. When I meet your father and had you, I felt Full and Whole."
The Daughter grew up strong and beautiful and became an ideal for some of the women and girls in the clan,
Which pissed of a shaman's Daughter (Luna), who had next to no strength, had no curves and had a bad personality.
Luna made it appear that she was haunted and given barbarians are superstitious caused some friction.
She voluntarily left not to cause problems. But ironic enough that Luna through her malice and jealousy became haunted and was chased out.

Okay, I like the story. But why does your character want to explore the Stolen Lands and perform the duties on the Charter?
This could just be me being strange, but would a Barbarian; who thrive in chaos and the wilderness, want to bring law and order to the land?
