I hear ya - I went with the two-handed weapon build this level. So, either Bjorn or me will likely be right by your side!
You combine that with Weapon: Finesse at 3rd and Dieredon will be plain nasty in melee...
Already have Weapon Finesse! Took Power Attack this level as a combat feat!

Yeah, my weak spot is AC, but your build will definitely help with that. I have not heard anything from Bjorn in this game or the Iobarian Saga - Is he still active? i thought for sure that Dieredon's recent comments towards him would elicit some hearty response. :-)

Hey all. Sorry for the prolonged absence. I moved last Friday and then promptly got sick. I didn't have Internet access at home (and none of my neighbors were nice enough to leave me an unsecured wireless network). The cable company finally came out today to install the cable modem at home just in time for me to return to work. I'll get to posting as soon as I can tonight.
Honestly I think we're all interesting - Wesh and Bramble have particular depths; Bramble as she's just a damn cool character and Wesh because there's so much more to get from him... kindof enigmatic lol.
Skane I just play as a straight up Northman fighter, so he's pretty shallow lol, hoping we have some further adventures after 3 Days...

Anyhoo - a jetty and boat in game... looks tempting... I do think we need to explore some sidequest opps to get the rest of the group up to 2nd level before we hit the mansion.
Perhaps a river-reccy by some of the party?

Okay tactics folks...
My initial gut reaction was a stealth team getting in ninja style and a brute squad to smash in, attract attention? They meet in the middle...
BUT splitting the group against a bandit leader, some cultists [one of whom will probably havic magicks] may be too risky.
As/when the action goes down, should there be two "groups" or we get split up - Bethony will be key as a fast and mobile fighter who can support individuals and groups very quickly.
Skane can take a licking, fight defensively and protect others with his shield abilities... shoulder to shoulder with Bjorn or Dieredon [using the curveblade] that combo could be nasty. His high AC, decent HP and defensive fighting means Skane can probably suck it up for a while should we tackle anything nasty [Bandit leader/cultists etc]
I agree. Maybe we put everyone in position as close to the front as we can get, and I start by trying to take out a few from range, then we bust in. If we want to split, my stealth abilities and movement should lend itself well to getting inside, but I agree that this is highly risky - splitting the group.

I'm currently running Bjornhildr in Drayen's absence but also realise that she's not levelled up...
I've emailed Drayen about this and his status - hoping he'd be back with us at this impending climax, but am doubley wary:
Would rather not level Bjorn up in Drayen's stead as The Great North Bear is his character (while I know he'd trust me to do the big gal justice... its a principle thing!)
Would rather we had a 2nd level druid going into this stage than a 1st level one... [extra hp, skills, spells and some nifty bear totem abilities...] could be a difference maker?
Thoughts? Particularly from Randall would be welcome here before we're knee deep in things!
What choices do you have to make with the level 2 druid. Maybe if he wants to change things let him rebuild the level 2 character when he returns?
I agree with Wesh...just level the PC, and if Bjorn wants to change when he returns, then he should be permitted to do so. Just my 2 cents.
About to enter the climax of the story, I think the team needs all the help it needs. I wouldn't mind if Bjorn returns and requests for a character rebuild once you've taken his char to level 2.
I think I would take in a new pc later on the party's return to Deeptown.
If Bjorn doesn't return by then, maybe he'll chill out, spending his loot if he survives, drinking it off at Deeptown's taverns.
Now, since Bjorn and Rianna are related, I'll give her the option of what to do with her character, regarding this scenario.
At level 3, I would give the option to those interested to take on hirelings, what do you think?

It's optional after all. Seeing the group beginning to establish themselves should attract people for a piece of the action. Not to mention a more welcoming environment for other support pcs to join in.

Hey all! Sorry for the absence (and doubly sorry for not responding to the e-mail.. yet). Work is still hectic. I have also taken on some additional quasi-real world responsibilities. I hate to leave this game, but I think it's best for the group that you find another player. Thank you all so much for the great role playing. I know that this experience is going to show in my future games.
Drayen: You will be missed...who am I going to get into good-natured banter nd, even after I went as far as to learn your language! LOL! Good luck in the RL endeavors!
