Yohoho and a bottle of Rep! (subSPUF Skull and Shackles)

Game Master Rynjin

Arrrrrrr, walk the plank, scallywag and all that. This be pirates and so do ye be.

Impositions:

Disgraceful Impositions:

Yes, Sir!: For the next hour, the PCs’ crew completes any mundane tasks they’re assigned in half the expected time. This typically relates to Craft and Profession (sailor) checks made to prepare, maintain, or repair the ship, and cannot be applied to combat or more complex deeds like crafting magic items. Costs 2 Disrepute.

Captain’s Orders!: As a standard action, a PC on board her ship can cast fog cloud, heroism, make whole, quench, or whispering wind with a caster level equal to her character level. Costs 5 Disrepute.

Walk the Plank!: The PCs may sacrifice one crew member or prisoner to grant themselves and their crew one of two bonuses: either a +2 bonus on all skill checks or a +2 bonus on attack rolls. These bonuses only apply while on board the PCs’ ship and last until either the next day or when the captain leaves the ship. If a sacrificed character is returned to life, the PCs and their crew members take a –2 penalty on both skill checks and attack rolls for 1 day. Costs 5 Disrepute.

Get Up, You Dogs!: Every PC and allied character on the deck of the PCs’ ship is affected as per the spell cure light wounds, as if cast by a cleric of the PCs’ average party level. This imposition can only be used once per week. Costs 10 Disrepute.

Despicable Impositions:

5: Lashings!: Your ship's speed doubles for 1 day.

5: Shiver Me Timbers!: While on board their ship, the PCs and their entire crew can reroll initiative or roll initiative in what would otherwise be a surprise round. The benefit of this imposition can be used immediately, but only once per week.

10: Besmara’s Blessings!: As a standard action, a PC on board her ship can cast animate rope, control water, remove curse, remove disease, or water breathing with a caster level equal to her character level.

10: Dead Men Tell No Tales!: While on board their ship, the PCs can use this imposition to automatically confirm a threatened critical hit.

I'm assuming you're holding off to buff until you at least get in sight of the fortress, since there are hours of walking between your ship and there.

The rest of the trip passes without incident,a nd once nearby you come loaded for bear.

How do you approach the fortress?

"Sure, whatever."

I say shoot the door down and go in screaming like a bunch of hooligans!

"Nothing wrong with grey skin," Daliya murmured as they approached. "All my girl friends approve." She scanned the fortress for signs that the cyclops were ready for another visit. That ability they had that meant there attacks were horribly effective was not something she wanted to experience at range...with a siege weapon.

Daliya does notice signs of a struggle, however. Different from the signs you made before.

There are no traps.

Upon pushing the door open, you are greeted by a single undead cyclops, standing in front of an enormous egg shaped structure. You recognize it as one of the ones you killed last night.

Quick room description:

The domed ceiling of this chamber rises eighty feet overhead. In the center of the hall, a thirty-foot-high egg-shaped structure stands on the floor. Stone stairs climb the side of this domed structure, ending before a stone wall chiseled to resemble an immense eye, circled with strange runes glowing with an eldritch light. The stairs and eye are mirrored on the opposite side ofthe dome. Tiny stars roil across the top of the structure, their light projecting strange constellations on the ceiling overhead. Much of the northeast corner of the chamber lies in ruin, collapsed by obvious cave-ins, but three other exits remain-doors to the east and west, and a corridor leading southeast.

Their breath can permanently blind their victims, and their attacks carry a nasty disease called Seaside Rot that saps the victim's strength and flexibility.

They have no specific weaknesses unique to them, but are resistance to positive energy, cold, fire, and non-Good aligned weaponry.

How would Jrahk know?

Male Orc Bloodrager (Primalist) 9 | Dead, essentially.

Undead don't have the mental abilities of their living form. Even Jrahk would notice this pattern by now.

"I do not speak giant, which is the language of Cyclopes. I'll try common - and drop it in a pit if that fails."

Raising his voice, Ixrul shouts, "Hail!"

Wrong, actually. Cyclops is the language of Cyclopes. It's like the precursor to modern Giant.

The Ghokdakos looks at Ixrul, lingers for a moment, then goes back to staring straight ahead.

Daliya looked at the creature. She wasn't sure if it was able to understand them, or if it was like a zombie and only capable of following basic instructions...but saying that out loud might also insult the creature. So instead she readier herself to punch it in the head. It usually worked well on undead.

Male Orc Bloodrager (Primalist) 9 | Dead, essentially.

Jrahk takes a few steps toward the Gholdakos, readying himself to enter his bloodrage if it becomes hostile.
