I think what Aliandara means is that she's specifically taking advantage of the rules: when she is being bullrushed off the table, before she's actually off the table she can effortless toss one (or all three) of the coins along to be off the table before she herself is off the table. The game already ends before she's actually off then, and she wins on account of having more coins in her pouch than Marra and being a wily fox.
I think she really wants to fight for the pseudodragon's freedom.

I see; I get it now...let's do it this way, since "knocked off the table is different than Thrown off while falling...let's have her try to kick off some coins as a reflex save to see if she can knock them off before she hits the ground...she has a +7 reflex save, I'll say the difficulty is in her favor, DC 16 reflex save to kick coins off the table AND have them hit the ground before she does. That gives her a 60% chance of success...
(I hate d20s...2d10 ftw!)

Panish Valimer |

If by bell-curve you mean a pyramid :P - but you're right of course. I'm not sure if that is really needed though, as "taking 10" (something I do frequently) pretty much enables the bell-curve for 1d20. At very low levels, the effect of the 1d20 dominates the results; but after level 6 the rules are rapidly becoming predictable.

DM X |

Yah, guess you're right it is a pyramid, it still makes it more predictable, with randomness throughout the game, if you want to design a challenge, then the average result of 2d10 is a better guage.
Aliadara kicks some coins to the ground, prior to landing on her rear end, she realizes another long drawn out battle awaits her...for the little dragon.

Donagar |

"Ah girl remember tah use every skill ye have. I seen yah dodge well in fightin Marra. Yer a fine acrobat, tis not my way o fighten but yer good at yer way!"
"I will be here at yer back" Donagar adds a wink "An I make fine cover!"
"I need an ale."

Panish Valimer |

Panish smirks as he pats Aliandara on the back for a job well done then looks over Marra. Finding a bruise on her he whispers words of healing more precisely Detect Evil and proceeds to study the gathered minions and Devargo himself under the guise of aid.
Any unusual features Panish picks up while studying those present? He'll be maintaining concentration as long as possible.

Aliandara Leloric |

Aliandara goes over to her companions as they congratulate her and checks on Marra, using the time to prepare for the next fight. She tries to hide a dagger on herself before the combat; maybe the rogues that search her will be sloppy and not find it.
Bluff as a distraction to hide the fact that she is hiding a dagger: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Sleight of hand: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 9 + 2 = 13

Marra "The Phoenix" Warblade |

I think I'm going to re-tool Marra as an Inquisitor, give me a chance to see how that class works and it seems to work with her background of Iomedae and her search for justice. As I said, go ahead and level up. Remember if combat does ensue, you better be able to find proof or you will end up on the gibbet for muRdeR most foul...

Aliandara Leloric |

I was concidering a bard, but don't worry.
Sorry for the wait, think I have her figured out now. She is still a rogue and pretty much like she was; the changes I want will be with future feats and the changes I made just made her able to get those.
Here is a levelled up Aliandara ^_^

Donagar |

Donagar wrote:Feel free to APG your character up if you want.Donagar came in at level three so is ready to cheer on the combatants in round two!
Looked at it, new sub-domain substitutions that I like, looked at multi/classing but decided that would cost me my 2nd level spells.....
Looks like APG will not happen till next level if at all.....
I will look at spells, but would not change spells prepared at this point......

Panish Valimer |

Panish agrees with Donagar, "This is not exactly the way you described it before. Are you worried suddenly at the prospects of a girl beating one of these...?" Panish motions to the assembled thugs. "I think it would only be fair to grant her some small measure of an advantage if she is to fight two." Diplomacy, to buy Aliandara some form of benefit 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

Devargo, NPC |

"Are you suggesting three fights instead of 2 or are you suggesting both at once!"
"Little late tah be changin things, maybe yah could pick tha best one an I can play a different game of my choosin with the other one...."
"Both at once of course" He states matter of factly with a chillingly cold smile.
"I'll let Aliandara start with the dagger..."

Donagar |

Donagar pulls out his dire flail
"It seems my host can not stick to his word and wants this party to be something very different..."
"Can you pick one or two or three out fer myself while yer at it?"
"I am tired o jus watchin!"
"Or maybe a volunteer o a dog with a pantin tongue wantin tah impress his boss by fighten meself stead o a girl!"

Donagar |

"I agree tha girl can decide fer herself, but tell yer fools not tah come within mah reach as I might take a swat or two attem, I might take a swat anyway."
"It might be news tah some but I ama used tah gettin my way as well!"
"No volunteer to swap licks afor the main event starts!"
"One man's fool is anothers target practice."
Donagar takes a swing into the empty air with the dire flail and attempts to intimidate the "fools"
Just taunting and intimidating....willing to wait on Alandria..

Donagar |

Donagar wonders how tough this Devargo is and how tough his thugs are since he is playing it down so much
Perception should see Donagar raise one thick eyebrow at these comments!
Donagar also hopes to bump the game back to page 1
Keeping flail in hand Donagar keeps working on his drink
blessing and purifying it as always

Devargo, NPC |

"Agreed! Aliandara, hold onto that knife, you two get on that table, strap them up. The remaining applicant's strap a piece of leather to each of the hopefuls, and one strap to each of Aliandara's arms, the dagger resting in her primary. You realize that if the rogues work together well, they will be able to really control Aliandara easily, but if they work against each other, Aliandara will be at an advantage. The two rogues know that whoever wins amongst them gets into the Devargo's family of vice; but they're also aware of the danger Aliandara represents.

Aliandara Leloric |

Sense Motive (even though Panish sent Aliandara the message): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
Aliandara turns to look at each of her opponents, checking to see what she is up against. Catching the hint Panish is slipping to her she then remarks to them ”I wonder which one of you two will draw first blood. You better move quick before your friend takes the credit.”
If a bluff roll is required to pit them against each other: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Devargo, NPC |

The two rogues straighten slightly and look at one another, suddenly the shorter of the two shoves the taller, with a sneer on his scruffy face. The taller wollups him on the head in rebuttal, which causes the shorter to have a slightly dazed look on his face.
"Very well then...BEGIN! Devargo muses, seeing the cunning in Aliandara pitting the two against each other.
