Ah, that's good to know. I may do my own thing now. My poor Dwarven caster was starting to look sub-par compared to what I've been seeing in this thread.
If there's still room in here, I'll be interested in placing a monster in the mix. Either it or another gestalt idea I have. Both will probably just be human with a +2 to an ability and +4 to another. For fun. (Basically human + advanced ability twice (9 rp)).
If there's an issue with that, let me know. Otherwise, to the drawing board!
Ok, so I just started a new campaign - bringing my total to six + GMing an AP. Plus working full-time. Plus planning a January wedding. With this arena combining Psionics/Gestalt/Custom Races (none of which I'm familiar with), I think it's better if I drop out of the running so I don't get even more overwhelmed with life. Hopefully, everyone else has a great time murdering each other. ;-)
Magic:
Sorry for abandoning you like this; I'd thought this would be a normal arena thing. Including all this other stuff makes it too complicated for me. Plus, I quickly realized I could easily make a completely broken race with almost no effort, and I'm not a fan of deliberately nerfing myself. I'll be happy to look over your character and give advice once you get it done, but your perma-invisible tiny fey support caster's going to sit the fighting out.

when you said advanced ability, I thought you said advanced template
also it'd be cheaper by 3 points to go
Flexable (+2 to to ability scores) followed by Advanced
Agreed, but I'm not horribly worried about it. If I go with the gestalt idea I'm thinking, I'd be pretty set on power anyway. So much so that I'm on the fence about both builds. I may make them both and post in the next 24 hours and see where that gets me.
Okay, first profile here. All that's left is choosing the rest of my skills. A little history will come later also, but I figured I'd throw it on here in the meantime.
I think I'll stick with Daylight. I don't want to pull too much from the Aasimar feel. Even though I technically don't need Aasimar to get what I want now.

If you don't have a partner, I'm up
While I appreciate the offer, I have found a partner. Plus, I'm working on an offensive build as well.
I could partner with either you or ED, as ED is/was my partner origionally I feel I must ask him if he would be ok with me switching
I have no real preference, I'm fine playing with either of you
I have a ranged attacker with secondary spellcasting
DM rules question
are we allowed to make custom magic items using the item creation rules?
I figured I would submit this race first before I built my character with it. Is there anything you'd like me to change/remove before I continue?

Pomplings are a strange breed. One would not assume that the mating of a Psychopomp and a mortal would produce anything of substance, much less on the scale of a Pompling. Driven and resilient, Pomplings are found in very small numbers where ever mortal creatures are found. They are often drawn to death in its many forms, those that live amongst their mortal kin often ease into positions of minor religious importance, helping many pass to the other side peacefully. Others rebel against this instinct, despising death and its hold upon mortal life. Many, however, are collected by their somber parents when they come of age.
In the Spire, they serve as pages and secretaries, assisting the bureaucracy of death. They are also dispatched, from time to time, as agents to the mortal realms. Disguising themselves with their innate magic, they infiltrate any number of organizations that disrespect the hold of the Spire upon the souls of the dead. Many merely collect information, others operate as assassins and saboteurs. None of them fear death and what it holds.
Anything else I need to do? I am working on a second possibility, but I'm content with my current creation. I'm also fine with solo or team. Ya know. 'Tis whatever.
I'm going to say I was discovered somewhere in the wilds (Believed to be a monster) dragged back to fight in the arena and has had a wary alliance with some fighters after I was discovered to be sentient...
