"If they can see us before we can see them, which I think is common in the Darklands, then it won't do any good to have some of our group hiding further back. So deception it is. Prisoner gambit? Play along and plan to attack as soon as we can see the Naga. Weapons sheathed for now. Hold your hands in front of you; we will wrap some rope loosely around them." As in something that would be a free action to get out of, but from a distance would look like real bindings.

Benedict uses his Alter Self SLA to take the form of an Orc. "Kisegar, you bring up the rear to keep up the facade. Point your crossbow at William. Aerel, you can be with us or sneaking around behind cover."
It is not really clear on that map where cover might be. But if there is abundant cover, Aerel may wish to approach with Stealth and not be in our line.

Benedict will go first, with the others in between himself and Kisegar. He'll be holding the +1 Spear over his head in two hands, holding it not as a weapon but as a gift.
Haela will be right behind him (to share teamwork feats).
Grum and Amkarang will follow, so that Haela can Dimension Door all of the melee fighters at once if needed.

Undercommon:
"Great and horrible Naga of the Deep! I bring sacrifices for safe passage. Captives and a magic spear! Please come to take them and grant me passage!"

"I don't want to risk your lives by being seen too soon, so I will be behind you. What's the signal to move up? And a second signal to engage? To keep your options open."

"Probably Grum or me shouting Attack! - I can't say for sure how well this plan is going to work."

Aerel smiles, shakes his head, and fades from view.

"One of us shouting attack has worked for us so far." Grum replied. "I see no reason why it would be any different this time around."

Raises his hands and grins, "Variety is the spice of life, my friends. I will do my best to disappear until you call out."

A massive, snake-like body rises from the earth capped with a humanoid head sporting a mouth full of fangs. Even with much of its body still underground, its size is impressive.

Undercommon:

"Wise you are to make an offering, but you will send them to me. Send them forward!"

M Aasimar Fighter 8/Chevalier 3| HP 103/103 | AC 30 (32 vs goblins), T 14, FF 27, CMD 29 | Init +5 | Perception +19 (Darkvision) | F/R/W +13/+10/+7 (+4 vs mind-affecting, immune fear/poison) | Move 30' | Tactician 1/1 | BB 1/1 | Alter Self 1/1 | Active: None

"Attack!"

Deep Naga: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Kisegar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Grum: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Benedict: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
William: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Amkarang: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Aerel: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Haela: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

The naga hisses at the battle cry, but the underground aberration was on high alert with the group of intruders in its domain.

Haela is up!

F Dwarf Ftr9 | AC 27, T12, FF25, CMD 25 | HP 76/86 | F +10 R +6 W +6 (+2 vs spells/SLA/poison, +teamwork) | Move 20' | Init +2 | Per +8 (Darkvision)

Haela uses a swift action to share Shake it Off with the party (8 rounds), a move action to draw her axe, and then a standard action to activate Teleportation Mastery, bringing Grum, Benedict, and Amkarang into melee reach of the naga.

Everybody has Shake it Off; that is a +1 to all saves for Amkarang, William, and Aerel; +3 for Grum and Haela, and +2 for Benedict.

Male Elf Fighter (archer)/rogue* 11 | AC 23 (25 with buckler), T 17, F 17, CMD 29 | F 10 R 11 W 7 | hp 81/81 | Init +6 | Perc +25, +30 vs traps, darkvision 60', see invisibility/ethereal | Effects: Shake It Off (+1 to all saves)

Is Kisegar affected by the Shake It Off or the teleportation?

M Aasimar Fighter 8/Chevalier 3| HP 103/103 | AC 30 (32 vs goblins), T 14, FF 27, CMD 29 | Init +5 | Perception +19 (Darkvision) | F/R/W +13/+10/+7 (+4 vs mind-affecting, immune fear/poison) | Move 30' | Tactician 1/1 | BB 1/1 | Alter Self 1/1 | Active: None

Yeah, Kisegar should be affected by Shake it Off, so I guess she and the beetle get a +1 each. These bonuses change depending on how people move of course. Haela can only Dim Door 3 others, and Kisegar is a ranged combatant anyway, so she didn't bring the duergar along.

@Aerel: There is no light except for what you bring with you.

Kisegar fires off a shot from her crossbow.

Ranged: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
Damage + acid: 1d10 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 1 + (6) = 11

Ranged: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20

The naga roars in surprise as the melee fighters are brought around it in the blink of an eye. It looks around at the foes around it, deciding at random to 1d4 ⇒ 1 bite at Amkarang!

Bite: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (17) + 20 = 37
Damage, ivs: 6d6 + 9 ⇒ (6, 2, 1, 5, 3, 4) + 9 = 30
Dispel magic: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Magical disruption; anyone hit by a deep naga is targeted by a dispel magic effect

The naga then withdraws into the ground, the hole collapsing behind it!
Using its burrow speed. Haela can make an AoO as it leaves her reach

Everyone is up!

Male Elf Fighter (archer)/rogue* 11 | AC 23 (25 with buckler), T 17, F 17, CMD 29 | F 10 R 11 W 7 | hp 81/81 | Init +6 | Perc +25, +30 vs traps, darkvision 60', see invisibility/ethereal | Effects: Shake It Off (+1 to all saves)

Thanks, Benedict. @GM: Aerel will need to know the light situation when combat begins.

F Dwarf Ftr9 | AC 27, T12, FF25, CMD 25 | HP 76/86 | F +10 R +6 W +6 (+2 vs spells/SLA/poison, +teamwork) | Move 20' | Init +2 | Per +8 (Darkvision)

Haela swings at the naga as it retreats.
Attack: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20
Damage: 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

"Aerel, William - move to us."
"You too, Kisegar."

"Let's keep moving together."

She heals Amkarang of all of his wounds.
Healer's Hands 1 of 9: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (14) + 17 = 31
Heals 2*HD (22) + Frontier Healer (5) + 2*Wis modifier (4) + Planes Ranks (9) for 40.

Male Elf Fighter (archer)/rogue* 11 | AC 23 (25 with buckler), T 17, F 17, CMD 29 | F 10 R 11 W 7 | hp 81/81 | Init +6 | Perc +25, +30 vs traps, darkvision 60', see invisibility/ethereal | Effects: Shake It Off (+1 to all saves)

Aerel hustles forward, curious what's occurred to change the plan. He stayed back out of his own visual range intentionally to remain unseen, so he doesn't actually know what happened yet.

Seeing his allies and no opponent, he searches for the dark naga, looking and listening.

Perception: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (16) + 25 = 41

Male Human Fighter 11| AC 26 T 16 FF 21 | HP 102/114| F +10 R +9 W +5; +3 vs Fear | Init +5 | Perc +16

William moves forward and casts haste on the group. "Be ready for it to come back up. We should spread out some so it doesn't get us all in a spell."

M Aasimar Fighter 8/Chevalier 3| HP 103/103 | AC 30 (32 vs goblins), T 14, FF 27, CMD 29 | Init +5 | Perception +19 (Darkvision) | F/R/W +13/+10/+7 (+4 vs mind-affecting, immune fear/poison) | Move 30' | Tactician 1/1 | BB 1/1 | Alter Self 1/1 | Active: None

"We are better off closer together if it does cast a spell."

Benedict uses his Tactician ability to share Lastwall Phalanx - which, as a sacred bonus, stacks with Shake it Off (which is untyped).
