Jathal will end up having nine hp, not 6. It's max hp for 1st lv, then every level after it's 1/2 your total hd value + 1 + your con mod.

Example A level one barbarian has 1d12 as it's hd. If it has a con score of 16 with a mod of +3 then at level one it would have 15 hp (max hd amnt + con mod). At lv two it would get an additional 10 hp (1/2 of a d12 (6) + 1 + 3) Therefore every time YOU level up you will get 1/2 your hd value +1 +1 from constitution automatically.

This will start in a medium sized portside town named Dublin (Not to be confused with Dublin, Ireland. This is my own made up world.) The town boasts a sizable guard force, and some may accompany you on the semi-short walk to the building site, or at least the surrounding forest entrance. They would never admit it, but they are too spooked by the stories they hear to dare going into the forest.
This should start by tomorrow night at the rate things are going. There is very little people need to do before we can go ahead and get started. As for the time period in game, I have no idea when it would be. In real world time it could be anywhere between the 1100's and very early 1400's

Just out of curiosity, will these groups be occupying the same world and possibly running into each other handling different tasks, or is it just two groups to start from and progress through the same setting, but the actions of one wouldn't be reflected to the other?

Scratch that. The first group can begin now. I started you guys off with the needed scenario to have all your characters get to know each other. Here's probably the best chance you'll get at roleplaying your character all game, so have fun with it.


Do we still have time to make alterations to gear and such before we head out from the inn, and can we make minor alterations to characters still? I'm thinking about dropping Sylas's strength down to 14 to put his Con up a bit higher, and if I do I'd probably want to rearrange some gear too.

If not though, I don't think it'll really make much difference.

Also, Connor McGinnis: the Zen Archer class gets the Weapon Focus feat at 2nd level, could I possibly start with something else like Skill Focus? story and physical description:

Raised in an orphanage, the unwanted half-orc Ikkath Onetooth learned quickly to trust himself, and only himself, for his well-being. He discovered some skill with the bow along the way, and into adulthood had some trouble finding steady work. He scraped by an impoverished existence on the fringe of town, living off the land and selling pelts for necessities he could not forage or craft. On one occasion, a traveling priest included a copy of Unbinding the Fetters with a charitable sack of foodstuffs. Ikkath read the sacred text several times over and focused Irori’s instruction to his archery. Very soon, his progress with the bow allowed him to afford finer tools for his fletching, rope, and a few odds and ends. When news of this endeavor reached his pointed ears, the half-orc hurried to be counted among the volunteers, eager for improvement and curious of the world beyond the town.

Ikkath Onetooth stands around six feet tall, his lean build covered by a threadbare traveling cloak. A dagger is sheathed at his belt, and a longbow and quarterstaff protrude above his shoulder from the pack on his back. Tiny inscriptions on the exposed skin of his arms are the result of patient scarification, lines of Irori’s more paradoxical instruction carved in the orc tongue. Calloused hands, a weathered face, and a gruff, reserved demeanor hint at Ikkath’s life of poverty and practical self-reliance.

Whoop, good thing I already knew what I was up to then. Changes made. Just dropped strength to 14, put Con up to 13, and picked up some new items.

Same as the first group. You're doing the same campaign. Your solutions to problems may be different though. Or at least I hope so. Otherwise there would be no point in me running two campaigns.
