Nahia |

By my quick count this is what we got. Nahia wouldn't want to sell the books on Astrology or Plants until she has had time to read them. If you guys want your money now instead of waiting to sell them, then Nahia will pay you each 40 (or 80) gold for your shares of their value and she'll keep the sale value later.
Lute 100
Warden Ring 250
Engagement Ring 100
First Edition 120
Spellbook 350
Greatsword 50
Longsword x2 30
Longbow x4 300
Total 1300
Assuming we only get half sell value that's 650 gold.
We found 1265 gold.
So assuming selling for half value we each get 478.75 gold, assuming full sale value we get 641.25 gold.
Also, did DM Aku level up again?

Nahia |

Do the books count as "valuables"?
And I'm curious how you leveled, none of us died. : )

DM Aku |

Well, this is not my 'only' way of the wicked table.... :D
Big frog was a total murder on the other one.
But I'm not leveling on killing you guys. Just means now things get more difficult. I could not be so hard with you guys in prison. No fun wiping you out before you even start.
And yes, books counts as valuables.

Zerik |

If anyone wants to keep something I think we should keep it. Don't worry about paying for it. I'm keeping the MS Composite Longbow +1 STR, I assume Erik will keep the MS Longsowrd, you can keep the book.
If that is okay with everyone.
I"m assuming the lute would be a valuable as well?
So that is 100 + 250 + 100 + 25 + 15 + 150 + 1265 = 1905 (Not selling the books)
So that is 471.25 Gold each + 200 from what we're offered.

DM Aku |

You travel the moors, the pace is a slow one, but the map is accurate and there's no risk of getting lose.

Nahia |

Cool, that means 537.5 gp each.
Huh, yeah, I was worried it was going to eat Seren, but luckily, didn't (despite those horrible init rolls). : )
And I know you're not out to try and kill us (probably). : )
And that's cool with me Zerik.

Zerik |

We will also need to buy Grumblejack some proper armour and weapons which will cost x2 since he is large.

Nahia |

True. I keep playing up the fact that I owe him a treat, so I'll buy him a weapon (I was gonna throw some cash his way anyway) and a gallon of Applejack, assuming that we see him at the manor.
DM Aku, any preference that you have for what he should wield? Maybe a Greataxe or an Ogre Hook?

Zerik |

I thought we could all chip in for his gear. For Armour I was thinking Breastplate (400 gp) weapon could be what the DM Aku things Grumblejack would think is best.
Oh I also forgot that we could sell the nobleman's clothing we found. Not sure how many set and if it would sell at full price or half (I'm assuming half) but that is 75 gp at full price.

Nahia |

There were 5 nobles outfits worth 375 gp total. I wasn't if we were (or could) sell those.

Zerik |

I just checked the post. There is also the tapestry worth 150 gp which I think might sell for full price being art.
So that is another 150+187.5=337.5/4 =84.375+471.25
Grand Total of 557.625 (+200)
Someone correct me if I'm off

Nahia |

I don't think any of us took the tapestry. I know I wouldn't have because of how cumbersome it is described. Also, I'd assume the clothes sell for half (they're not trade goods nor collectibles).
Also, given the cash influx, maybe we want to all chip in on a wand of CLW (or better yet, a wand of infernal healing)? 187.5 gp each.

DM Aku |

Just a suggestion:
You do not have a 'dedicated' healer. In this case, you'll use a lot more cash in potions and wands.
You could divide the loot for 5, and the other part count as the party cash, for buying this stuff.
One other note is: If someone wants to keep a item from the loot, he has to pay half price for it. An example: Divide the loot as you have done.
Eric will pick up the MW Longsword, the selling price is: 157,5 gp. In this case, Eric, after getting his share of the loot, split the 157,5 among the other party members (if you have the party cash, it will be among 4), in that way everyone else will receibe 39,4 gp and Eric got the item for it's half price.
Remember it's just a suggestion.

DM Aku |

About Grumblejack, don't worry. The master will provide the armor and weapons for him. Just remember he cannot use martial weapons to well. And the ogre hook is a option if you guys want him to have it. he cannot use shield, but he can use medium armor.

Nahia |

That's not a bad idea about having a 5th share. Luckily, infernal healing and cure light wounds are both on my spell list. While it isn't efficient, I do plan on making potions of stuff we might need in the long run (CLW, Enlarge Person, Levitate, etc).
And yeah, if we we're looking at more cash, it might be a good idea to do the hard math for splitting, but given how little we're talking about in the long run, I'm not too sure it matters.
In this case, though, Seren should probably be the one to decide, as Eric seems to be getting a masterwork longsword, Zerik is getting a str 1 composite longbow, I'm getting a book (and maybe you could say an alchemy lab), but I don't see anything for Seren in the list.
And I was just thinking Grumblejack would be proficient in Martial weapons, but yeah, if he doesn't have class levels then he would only be proficient with one martial weapon.
Though I'm still going to give him a gallon of applejack. : )

Zerik |

This does make sense. It's also in line with our vows. So I suppose the MS +1 Comp Longbow goes into the mix along with my chainshirt.
I'll be keeping a few so at half price that will be:
50 GP - Chainshirt
100 GP - Composite Longbow +1 Str
25 GP Greatsword
(I'm assuming the MS thief tools and dagger don't count towards loot since we got that from the veil.)
I'll just be buying:
1) Waterskin
2) Whetstone
3) Flint & Steel
4) Hemp Rope
5) Grappling Hook
6) Backpack
7) Bedroll
I will chip in for a Wand of Cure Light Wounds or Infernal Healing, whatever you guys think is best. I don't mind getting both.
"Post edited as per DM Aku's subsequent post.

Nahia |

The books I'd be keeping for now would end up being 97.5 gp. The whole team can use (and is benefiting from) the alchemy lab, so I'm not sure it should go in, but if it does, I'll chip in the 100 gp for that.

Nahia |

That could definitely be nice. : )
Edit: Also, looking at Zericks list I kind of feel bad for how long my list is looking like it is going to be. : /

Nahia |

Ok, a quick math update. Just toying with it, I'm not going to bother splitting it into 5 shares since that isn't even enough to cover a wand (or two half wands).
So each of us gets 584.37 gold, plus our 200 stipend, for 784.37. If we evenly split the cost of a wand then we each pay 187.5 and that leaves each of us with 596.87.
Eric is chipping in 175 in kept equipment, bringing him down to 421.87 and everyone else to 655.2.
I'm going to chip in 97.5, bringing it up to this:
Eric & Seren: 687.7
Zerik: 454.37
Nahia: 557.7
This will change based on what Eric keeps and/or sells.
Edit: I kind of like big G and the little uns. Also, how about the Forsaken Five. The Calamitous Quintet?

Nahia |

I’ll be combining the marker dye and glow ink, so that you get dye that glows in the dark. : )
While this will happen in character, Nahia will be spreading the various alchemical goods and potions out to the various members of the party.

DM Aku |

This is the loot you get from all the prison: (I'm not counting here weapons and such, and not the trapesty since no one said he was carrying it.Also I'm not counting the books and weapons.)
3 + 25 + 5 + 25 + 5 + 100 + 100 + 5 + 2 + 250 + 30 + 60 + 1235 + 375 = 2220
If you count the books/spell book/Alch lab and weapons: 75 + 120 + 250 + 200 + 350 + 200 + 157 = 1352
Let me just for a moment say this:
Eric keeps the sword.
Nahia the Alch Lab.
Zerik the Bow
(Don't count in the chain shirts they were there for everyone to pick up)
In this case, we have:
3 + 25 + 5 + 25 + 5 + 100 + 100 + 5 + 2 + 250 + 30 + 60 + 1235 + 375 = 2220 + 75 + 120 + 250 + 350 = 795
That would give 603 gp for each. (Includint the party cash.)
Now assuming we do the hard slipting:
Erik Gives back: 157gp / 4 = 39 each.
Nahia Gives back: 200gp / 4 = 50 each.
Zerik Gives back: 100gp / 4 = 25 each.
In the end: we would have this:
Eric: 603 - 157 + 50 + 25 + 200 = 721
Nahia: 603 - 200 + 39 + 25 + 200 = 667
Zerik: 603 - 100 + 39 + 50 + 200 = 792
Seren: 603 + 39 + 50 + 25 + 200 = 917
Party Cash: 603 + 39 + 50 + 25 = 717
You can also now add the longswords and the longbows for 15 + 150 (Already for half of the price) and that would give 33 more gp for each.
So, in the real end it would be like:
Eric: 603 - 157 + 50 + 25 + 200 + 33 = 754
Nahia: 603 - 200 + 39 + 25 + 200 + 33 = 700
Zerik: 603 - 100 + 39 + 50 + 200 + 33 = 825
Seren: 603 + 39 + 50 + 25 + 200 + 33 = 950
Party Cash: 603 + 39 + 50 + 25 + 33 = 750
Just one more thing: Choose one to keep track of the loot(an excel sheet in google docs maybe). It's messy if you guys keep reading the later posts to know what you have found or not.
Also, Nahia the books do not give any bonus on knowledge test. You can sell then and still says you read then. No worries about that.

Zerik |

I also need to deduct 25 GP for the greatsword so that is 800 GP for me. Less whatever I spend on things.
I'll just be buying: (MY FINAL LIST)
1) Waterskin - 1 GP
2) Whetstone - 2 cp
3) Flint & Steel - 1 GP
4) Hemp Rope - 1 GP
5) Grappling Hook - 1 GP
6) Backpack - 2 GP
7) Bedroll - 1 sp
8) Compass - 10 GP
9) Soap - 1 cp
10) Shaving Kit - 15 sp
Totaling 27 GP; 6 sp; 3 cp
Leaving me with - 772 GP; 4 sp; 7 cp

Nahia |

@DM Aku, Yeah, I know they don't give any bonuses. I was keeping (two of) them purely from an RP stand point.
Also, I'm willing to keep track of taken loot, if no one has any complaints. I'll keep everything in a google spreadsheet. You've just got to make sure that you are explicit about taking things.
And since we have party cash, assuming everyone else is on board for a healing wand, do we want to get one or split half and half for CLW and Infernal Healing? Infernal Healing guarantees more health per charge, but takes longer to heal you.
Also, if that is the final gold count, then I have 183 gp 6 sp 1 cp left.

Eric Erebus |

Eric will be keeping the MW longsword and the heavy shield (-7gp).
That leaves the glaive (4gp), dagger (1gp), chain shirt (50gp), chainmail (75gp) and the other weapons taken off of the guards (which seem to be accounted for). = 130gp to be split with the party.
Went with the 50% of costs to get prices.
@Nahia- I vote to split the wands up. We can use the infernal healing wand when there is a little extra time for it to work. Use the CLW for the emergencies in battle.
So after the MW longsword and the -7 gp from the heavy shield, that leaves Eric with 747 gp (not counting the above split).
Eric will ask for the following:
- Half-plate armor (-600gp, I got really low dex).
- Handaxe (-6gp)
- 2x Chakrams (-2gp)
- Sling with 10 bullets (-1sp)
- Gear Maintenance Kit (-5gp)
- Fighter's Kit (-9gp)
- Shield Sconce (-1gp)
- Whetstone (-2cp)
- Climber's Kit (-80gp)
- Signal Whistle (-8sp)
- Explorer's Outfit (-10gp)
I think that leaves me 33 gp and 8 cp.

Nahia |

OH! I almost forgot. DM Aku, did your gold counts include selling the ioun torch that the warden had? Because that could be a great item for Eric to keep.

Seren Little |

I swear you all do this on purpose.... Going to take me most of my free time to just catch up... I'll get everything updated this morning sometime

Zerik |

@Erik, I"m not doing much shopping right now. If you like you like, don't do much other shopping, and buy yourself some full plate. I'll lend you 750 GP if that's allowed (If someone else lends you another 150 you can get Masterwork Full Plate)
@Nahia, I think we should take the half and half on the wands.

Nahia |

Both myself and my character would be willing to pitch in too.
And I think the half and half is a good idea myself.

Seren Little |

Okay guess I'll just start going down the list:
Wands. I think we should get the two at half charge (one CLW and one Infernal Healing). Allows me and Nahia to both carry one (as both spells are on our spell lists). This way we have redundancy if one of us drops, especially seeing as DM Aku leveled, it might be worthwhile to make sure we aren't screwed if the one with the wand dies.
Gear for me:
Keeping :
Heavy Mace - 6 GP
Veil of Useful Items - 0 GP
Dagger - 1 GP
Total Gold: 943 GP
Purchase:
Breastplate - 200 GP
Heavy Steel Shield - 20 GP
Light Crossbow - 35 GP
Cold Iron Bolts (20) - 4 GP
Silver Weapon Blanch (2) - 10 GP
Alchemist's Fire (3) - 60 GP
Masterwork Backpack - 50 GP
Sleeves of Many Garments - 200 GP
Silk Rope - 10 GP
Candle (5) - 5 CP
Waterskin - 1 GP
Bedroll - 1 SP
Mess Kit - 2 SP
Spring Loaded Wrist Sheath - 5 GP
Manacles - 15 GP
Soap - 1 CP
Total Cost: 615 GP 3SP 6 CP
Remaining: 327 GP 6 SP 4 CP
Think that should be accurate. What are the rules we are using for magic armor? If I purchase MW Breastplate and MW Shield can I have them enchanted at a later date for the difference? Or do I need to purchase the items pre-enchanted?

Nahia |

Ok, it looks like we are agreed for two half wands, one of Cure Light Wounds and one of Infernal Healing. Seren, do you have a preference for which one you would want to carry?
I should also be able to get a couple of potions ready. Given our situation, I think I'll make two potions of cure light wounds. I should also be able to make the following alchemical items: 2 Alchemists Kindness, 3 Weapon Blanche (Silver), 2 Alchemist Fires, 2 Acids, 2 Antitoxins, 1 bottle of smelling salts, 2 bottles of "glow dye", 10 Tinder Twigs
I'll post something in the other thread for proper RP, but just for sheet tracking, Nahia will gift items to people like this:
Eric: Potion of Cure Light Wounds, Antitoxin, Alchemist Fire, 2 Tinder Twigs (just in case), Weapon Blanche (Silver)
Zerik: Potion of Cure Light Wounds, Antitoxin, Acid, Bottle of Glow Dye, 2 Tinder Twigs (just in case), Weapon Blanche (Silver)
Grumblejack: Weapon Blanche (Silver), 2 Tinder Twigs
Seren: 2 Tinder Twigs, Bottle of Glow Dye

Seren Little |

I think I would prefer the wand of CLW. I'll likely be in melee far more then you, so the Oh s@!& wand my be better off with me.

Nahia |

It's in the CRB. It's a funny named match stick.
Tindertwig: The alchemical substance on the end of this small, wooden stick ignites when struck against a rough surface. Creating a flame with a tindertwig is much faster than creating a flame with flint and steel (or a magnifying glass) and tinder. Lighting a torch with a tindertwig is a standard action (rather than a full-round action), and lighting any other fire with one is at least a standard action.
The just in case is because you never know when you need to start a fire. : )
Edit: And just to clarify, the "glow dye" is marking dye with glow ink in it. Described in Ultimate Equipment:
Marker Dye
Price 15 gp; Weight 1 lb.
This dye (available in several colors) creates an obvious stain wherever it is splashed. Washing has no effect for the first 72 hours (though magic can erase it), but it fades completely after 2 weeks. You can throw it as a splash weapon.
Glowing Ink
Price 5 gp; Weight —
Often extracted from phosphorescent insects, tiny marine plants, or subterranean fungi, glowing ink emits a faint but steady light (typically red or green) that allows you to read it in normal darkness—this includes darkness created by spells like darkness, but not the supernatural darkness created by deeper darkness. If there is glowing ink on an object, you have a +2 bonus on Perception checks to locate it. Mixing glowing ink with marker dye makes the dye glow in the dark until it fades.
If the color of the dye matters, lets go with green. Mostly, it seems like a good way to track someone in the woods or to mark an invisible opponent.

Eric Erebus |

@Zeriik- You can hold onto your gp. I'll be okay with the half-plate for now. I know that means I'll be down 300 later, but it'll be okay.
I'll update soon. Had about 1/2 my lab coworkers call in sick for the not even 10 below freezing weather...
Needless to say, busy day for me.

Seren Little |

haha that's brutal... and here I am rejoicing that it was only -10C this morning when I woke up. Been months since I've seen above freezing weather here...sigh I need to move somewhere warmer.

Nahia |

DM Aku, I couldn't live where you live. I love cold weather, but where I live (south-east United States) I'm getting irritated that my beloved winter weather (0-5ºC) is being interspersed with days of 21.1ºC.

Nahia |

I'm good, thank you. I'd rather move somewhere where the summer doesn't go over 20ºC, and the winter doesn't go below, say, -10ºC

Seren Little |

Well were close to that here! coldest I've seen this winter is -43C (yay Canada), and last summer the warmest we got was 34C. Nvm, the climate where I live is stupid.
