Now here is just a thought...
We already know that the goblins got in a lot easier than they should have. Maybe one of the guards is an inside man? Was set to watch over Tsuto when he is in town, and 'take care' of him if he got into trouble.
Party comes back and our inside man hears about the upcoming interigation with magical assistance, decides that Tsuto won't be able to handle it.
Goes in to give Tsuto his food, and 'happens' to find him strangled. Nothing a cast of 'hold person' couldn't accomplish, and we know Nualia was the adopted daughter of the ex priest... so she could have some divine magic capabilities. (Not to mention the demon hand/tail picture doesn't exactly evoke thoughts of regular people)
Maybe someone did cause it, but if we don't see anything to suggest it, there is no reason to make accusations. That just means we have to hunt down the goblins before they attack. For all we know, these goblins or Tsuto were supposed to report in at some point. If that is the case, there deaths will move forward the goblin attack.

Which makes the question... how do we plan to thwart the goblin attack? Attack the leadership? Poison their water? Convert them all to pacifism?
Dare we wait until the Sherrif comes back with 'the troops'? Setup road blocks along the way to slow them down? Lay traps? Use guerrilla tactics?
Attack them on their Thistletop island?
I'm in favor of tracking them down to their lair and destroying their ability to make war. We have limited ability to stop an army on the march. We just have to find them.

I wasn't sure if it would be big enough for all of us since I assumed the goblins used it. Just imagine how many fires they started in it on the ride over.

Hmm good point, I was going by the assumption that Tsuto used it to cross (not trusting goblin craftsmanship himself).
But.... yep, if it turns out, then Erodel can ask his patron. (I mean.. he's only connected to the mafia, what harm could being in his debt be?)
Elransil, you might have connections of your own, being close to TWO merchant families. Yours, and your possible fiance's.
Don't forget Ameiko. I mean, is there anyone left in her family now? Maybe she's behind all this! And, I haven't even met the other family yet, so I don't think I can call in any favors.

As for Ameiko, I guess only time will tell, (I guess she will become owner of the glassworks via inheritance?), seems odd to kill her father over the dispute he had with Tsuto, just so Tsuto would kill himself after trying to recruit her. (Since Tsuto was obviously out of favor with Lonjiku, and would be probably written out of any will he had).

Only after some high levels, enchants can fighters easily swim in full plate IMO.
-9 ACP, (Standing water swim DC is 10)
Armor expert lowers 1
MW lowers 1
Level 3 Fighter would lower 1
So now 6 ACP
Swim class skill: 1 rank + 3 (Class skill) + 3 (str bonus) = +7
So.. now -6 ACP, vs +7 on swim. 45% chance of Success... with death on the line? No thanks!
You could always put the armor on once we reach the other side. Or we can tie a rope to you.

Climb DC Example Surface or Activity
0 A slope too steep to walk up, or a knotted rope with a wall to brace against.
5 A rope with a wall to brace against, or a knotted rope, or a rope affected by the rope trick spell.
10 A surface with ledges to hold on to and stand on, such as a very rough wall or a ship's rigging.
15 Any surface with adequate handholds and footholds (natural or artificial), such as a very rough natural rock surface or a tree, or an unknotted rope, or pulling yourself up when dangling by your hands.
So technically if we are able to get a rope where needed, folks should be able to take 10 and easily make it up. (of course if goblins are shooting bows/arrows/ballistae..... probably not, but still should be easy to do).

If you're still planning to get to the goblin's island by boat, go ahead and say what time of day or night you'll be leaving and if you want any kind of climbing gear or more rope, assume it's available and go ahead and buy it.
OK, purchased climber's kit for 80 gold and added it to my character sheet.
Description: These crampons, pitons, ropes, and tools give you a +2 circumstance bonus on Climb checks.
I also have a rope and grappling hook, too. We can send the best climber up with the kit, and they can drop down a knotted rope and we can go from there.
As for the boat, I vote we leave in the morning. I can see OK at night, but not everyone else can.
LOL, lemme know if you need to borrow more money. Don't forget, using a tower shield means you take a -2 on all your attack rolls unless you take that particular archetype. And I seem to remember you took Armor Master instead. Does that help with tower shields?
