Thinking warm happy thoughts at the poison he has and the priestess Drovic smiles to himself before starting at her complaint.

Jamako be a pal and leave the gem here. Scotty we need to get rid of some of this stuff see if you can find an individual who will pay well for the stuff from your filthy fellow rouges and thieves.

Taking out the longsword but careful not to touch it with his bare hands he turns to the priestess.

looking at the blade he tries to recognize its effects.

scraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Realizing he has no idea at all at the nature of the weapon he decides to blame his failings on others.

Jamako does not seem able to grasp what this is or does can you answer my lady.

Jamako raises a brow curiously at the instruction to leave the gem, shrugs, then gently tosses the gem onto the nearby table (after using presdigitation to conjure up a patch of grass and flowers to soften its landing, vanishing shortly afterwards).

Male Human Rogue (Knife Master), 2 | HP: 19/19 | AC: 17/14/13 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +4 | Perc: +7 |

"Alright... well that half-drow sure got out of here in a hurray. It ain't that bad... I hope he comes back. Seemed like an interesting feller... anyways! Off I go to make us some gold."

"Drovik, I will need your muscly arms to help carry all these paintings and such

K. Local: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Scotty gathers up all of the skulls, gems, and unwanted looted and heads to market to try and make some gold. Surprisingly, Scotty is actually very trustworthy, if the group of people and/or compensation is good enough.

Appraise: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

(If needed to get a better deal)

He will look throughout the market for someone he feels he can get a good deal with (or con into giving him a good deal), and then sell everything.

I imagine we sell the paintings, gems, skulls, etc right away. Does anyone want to sell their items? I'm thinking about selling my shortsword and dagger to get a pair of magic butterfly knives... but I'm not sure if Scotty would be able to resist the demon magic running through the pair of blades

M Human Cleric of THE BEYOND 1/Sorcerer (Starsoul Bloodline) 1

After they leave, Silver finally speaks. "Arrogant underworlder! Why go deeper when there is ...THE BEYOND???"

Male Kobold Sorcerer 2, HP: 7/7, AC:16, TAC:15, FFAC:12, CMD:10, FCMD:6, Fort: -1, Ref: +4, Will: +2, Init: +4, Perc: -1

How long will Jamako be affected by this 'good' malarky now that he's rid himself of the gem?

Jamako ponders to himself a moment as he notices Harland has left and the rogue leaving to sell treasure for coin. He shrugs, commenting aloud as he leaves: "I'm going to find the new guy! I didn't even catch his name.. it'll be nice to finally have intelligent conversation." The kobold beams, off in search of Harland.

A while yet, he held it for quite a while

Scotty knows of a certain dwarven dealer of ancient dwarf crap who doesn't ask a lot of questions. Grimbeard's Legitimate Antiquities is conveniently located close to the entrance of the Gilded Hole. Scotty takes all the loot And anyone else who feels like they want to come along across town to this reputable establishment.

Grimbeard is indeed a grim dwarf, and it has little to do with his unkempt, iron-wool-like beard.

"You're disgusting. You come straight here from the hole? Let's see what you've got and how badly you've damaged it with your clumsy human hands before your stink lingers."

She snorts.

"I'm not sure what you think the nature of our relationship is, but I am not concerning myself with trivialities that are completely beneath me. You and your 'cohorts' are becoming an insufferable distraction."

And Drovic thought when he left the underdark he was through being chewed out by arrogant drow women.

Well I totally did not expected that to happen.

Before heading out with Scotty Drovic carefully prepares himself for the trip to the dwarven store. He puts his Great sword in his bag and belts the two magic swords the bastard sword and other sword onto his belt. Then he tries to lie with his whole body.

bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

He does an okay job pretending to be one of those repentant Drow that are always wandering around Venture town.

If I need a saving throw after touching the swords here it is just add the modifier.saving: 1d20 ⇒ 5 Fort: +8| Ref: +5 | Will: +6

After getting a new room key, and turning in his previous one, Harland would decide that he needed something to eat. He would set himself down at a table, reach into his bag, and pull out one of the books he was busy translating, setting some notes aside as well. When the room invaders came down and all separated, he would notice Jamako sweeping the room with his eyes, trying to find someone, and he had a sinking feeling who the kobold was looking for.

Go away, I'm not here.

No, no, look the other way. Not at me.

No, gods dammit, he saw me.

He hoped that he had been wrong, and that the kobold was, in fact, not looking for him.

Male Kobold Sorcerer 2, HP: 7/7, AC:16, TAC:15, FFAC:12, CMD:10, FCMD:6, Fort: -1, Ref: +4, Will: +2, Init: +4, Perc: -1

Jamako grins widely. Success! He had located Harland, calmly walking across to the table he sat at. As per usual the kobold and his gear was spotless, the trail of his robe dragging an inch above the floor. He uses his fancy new staff as a walking stick now, clicking on the floor as he approaches. "I didn't get the opportunity to introduce myself earlier when the pointy-ear lady took your room. I am Jamako, the kin of dragons." The kobold half-bows politely, spouting a gout of smoke from his nostrils to emphasize his self-given title.

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Wizard 2 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 11 FF: 10 | Fort: +1 | Ref: +3 | Will: +3 | Init: +0 | Perc: +2 |

The wizard in front of Jamako would be frowning. ... What do you need, dragon kin? He didn't think that many dragons would agree with the kobold, but if they needed something, he needed the money.

If you need something translated, I should be able to help. If you need something identified, I can help there too. I am Harland, wizard by trade.

He would shift in his chair uncomfortably... kobolds usually ran around trying to stab people with sharp pointy spears and stealing everything not bolted down. This one was... polite.

It must be some kind of brain mutation. Or maybe the priestess trained manners into it.

Male Kobold Sorcerer 2, HP: 7/7, AC:16, TAC:15, FFAC:12, CMD:10, FCMD:6, Fort: -1, Ref: +4, Will: +2, Init: +4, Perc: -1

Thankfully that pesky 'goodness' isn't so much of a hindrance for this part at least, lol.

The sorcerer grins, wider at the mention of being a wizard. "Thought I smelled the arcane off you.. and being able to translate would actually be very convenient. You should join us, the hole is going to make for some great coin." He grins again at that, then displays his new staff, handing it over if a motion for it is made before continuing as he leans in more hushed. ".. And between you and me it'd be nice to have some intelligent conversation." He chuckles at that, spouting another gout of nostril smoke.

Male Human Rogue (Knife Master), 2 | HP: 19/19 | AC: 17/14/13 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +4 | Perc: +7 |

Scotty makes his way to Grimbeard's shop with Drovik.

"I tell ya Dro, I heard about this guy from an old buddy. He's sure to give us a good deal... Dwarves are crafty and tricksy... but they know about gold and wealth... greedy bastards."

He then pulls out his backpack and unloads the gold skulls, gems, and other loot they found (not sure exactly what everything we took is...), and then the magic sword and dagger, tapestries, and everything.

Scotty puts on his best fake smile and addresses the dwarf.

"What will ya give us for all this here, dwarf? I bet ya havn't seen a haul like this before. Ancient Dwarven artifacts! Genuine stuff!"

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Wizard 2 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 11 FF: 10 | Fort: +1 | Ref: +3 | Will: +3 | Init: +0 | Perc: +2 |

Intelligent conversation from a kobold... Truly the world had gone mad. He wouldn't take the staff, he would simply nod and wave down a barmaid.

Please get a halfling chair for my... colleague, here. Back to Jamako, replacing the notes and book into his pack for safe-keeping, it sitting on the table to discourage thieves. I might consider joining you, but the priestess you travel with just vowed to make me a slave... I don't find such a situation to be palatable. Motioning for Jamako to sit once the chair arrived. Unless you tell me she speaks in jest, and I doubt a drow would do so, I can't think of a reason why I would aid her willingly.

Male Kobold Sorcerer 2, HP: 7/7, AC:16, TAC:15, FFAC:12, CMD:10, FCMD:6, Fort: -1, Ref: +4, Will: +2, Init: +4, Perc: -1

Jamako nods his thanks to the barmaid and settles himself on the seat, shrugging innocently at his concern. "Dunno, just met her today down in the hole. Apparently she's a big deal, even managed to get pointy ears to kneel. I don't work for anybody, I'm just with the group for mutual interest. I stand around and look good and occasionally unleash my arcane potential, they stab at things and carry the loot, then we all get lots of gold." He chuckles, amused at the truth of the matter.

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Wizard 2 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 11 FF: 10 | Fort: +1 | Ref: +3 | Will: +3 | Init: +0 | Perc: +2 |

Halfway intrigued, he would lean back in his chair, stopping against the wall. And what manner of arcane potential might that be? Do you control the minds of your enemies? Summon creatures from the Beyond? Or do you stand back and increase the power of your allies, relying on your already reliable friends to grind the enemy to dust for you? And where did you study? Lexicon? Or perhaps, Summer Pool?

Male Kobold Sorcerer 2, HP: 7/7, AC:16, TAC:15, FFAC:12, CMD:10, FCMD:6, Fort: -1, Ref: +4, Will: +2, Init: +4, Perc: -1

The kobold grins, a flick of his hand producing a dancing flame at his fingertip. "Fire. Runs in the family. No study though, self-taught. Kinda comes naturally, but I still have a long way to go." He head-tilts curiously. "You?

M Human Cleric of THE BEYOND 1/Sorcerer (Starsoul Bloodline) 1

Silver arrives shortly after Jamako and walks to the table. "That insufferable drowess ...I hope you didn't leave anything important there, wizard."

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Wizard 2 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 11 FF: 10 | Fort: +1 | Ref: +3 | Will: +3 | Init: +0 | Perc: +2 |

Cocks his head slightly at Silver's approach. Nothing I'll miss or notice. I was just telling your... cohort? Ally? Friend? partner of mutual understanding? ... That if you need something translated or identified, I am willing to assist.

Male Human Rogue (Knife Master), 2 | HP: 19/19 | AC: 17/14/13 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +4 | Perc: +7 |

Eyeing Grimbeard with a curious glance, Scotty will take his silence as a sign and begin to set up all their loot out on the table.

When he gets to the tapestries, he explains to the dwarf:

"These here are very special! Ancient dwarven relics... they are woven of adamantine and other precious metals so delicately and beautifully that you couldn't tell it isn't silk without a knowing eye, as I am sure you have, master dwarf. I imagine these could fetch a pretty copper on the dwarven antique market... and I'm willing to give them to ya for a steal! How would you say 5000 gold a piece for the tapestries? and then say... another 5000 gold for the gems, skulls, magic weapons, and the rest of the loot?"

M Human Cleric of THE BEYOND 1/Sorcerer (Starsoul Bloodline) 1

"Translation, eh? Do you have any sort of specialized language ...do you, like that enslaving so-called 'priestess' focus on what is beneath?"

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Wizard 2 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 11 FF: 10 | Fort: +1 | Ref: +3 | Will: +3 | Init: +0 | Perc: +2 |

"What do you mean, literally or metaphysically? I can speak eight different languages fluently, including dwarven and drowish, demonic and devilish. I can also speak dwarven, draconic, elven... as well as, obviously, the common tongue." He would wave down the barmaid and order a pint of mead.

M Human Cleric of THE BEYOND 1/Sorcerer (Starsoul Bloodline) 1

"Pfah! Yes, there are languages of this world and beneath. But ...what of ...THE BEYOND???,

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Wizard 2 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 11 FF: 10 | Fort: +1 | Ref: +3 | Will: +3 | Init: +0 | Perc: +2 |

"...What of them? I have no wish to speak to the Beyond, whether it be a he, she, it, or them, and he, she, or they have proven themselves to have no wish to speak to myself either. Otherwise, I would likely be walking around covered in divine edicts. Can you speak to the Beyond? How many orders do they give you in a given month?" Doesn't say out loud that if he could get a hold of a god, any god, he would hold them all accountable for their crimes.

Male Human Rogue (Knife Master), 2 | HP: 19/19 | AC: 17/14/13 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +4 | Perc: +7 |

Scotty and Drovik stare open mouthed at this Dwarven merchant who has the balls to think he can just sit there silently and ignore them.

"So... Drovik... I don't even know what to do! This guy is just sitting here like a statue! Do we... do we kill him?"

*Flippity flip as the knives come out!*

M Human Cleric of THE BEYOND 1/Sorcerer (Starsoul Bloodline) 1

"The Beyond is no God, Drowbastard. To warm us our sun must be gigantic. And each star is another sun. But ...that dark between ...the vast majority of existence ...that dark tapestry ...The Beyond."
