Game Master Charlemagne's Brain

Venture Town is a lawless city of graverobbers, theives and opportunists, all looking to exploit both the single largest source of treasure in the world, and those who risk their lives to retrieve it.

If you have any idea how to pack a rucksack, it'd be easy. If you're a dimwit, you're gunna have a bad time. lol

There must be some easier way of doing diagrams. o.O

Presumably you keep them where you can get at them in the dark, unless you object to the idea.

Lemme know if/when you guys are going to sleep then.

Male Anumus (Wolf) Ranger 1 | HP: 11/11 | AC: 18 | TAC: 13 | FFAC: 15 | CMD: 17 | FCMD: 14 | Fort: +3 | Ref: +5 | Will: +1 | Init: +3 | Perc: +7

Jamako intends to sleep unless everybody abandons him or a fight breaks out. >_>

Game Master

So... Are we gonna investigate or sleep?

Male Anumus (Wolf) Ranger 1 | HP: 11/11 | AC: 18 | TAC: 13 | FFAC: 15 | CMD: 17 | FCMD: 14 | Fort: +3 | Ref: +5 | Will: +1 | Init: +3 | Perc: +7

Holy crap I just found the best thing ever. o.o

Tried a link, wont' work. Either way, check out "www.roll20.net"

If you guys go to investigate I'll join, but Jamako votes no. He's used most of his spells, and is particularly tired now that's he's fed his staff some brain-meat.

i am resting. Well not resting but watching you sleep and not murdering you in order to put you of you guard for the eventual culling. Got my warning system up. would have shifted the rock back but i like air.

Male Human Rogue (Knife Master), 2 | HP: 19/19 | AC: 17/14/13 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +4 | Perc: +7 |

That is very, very cool.

I suppose I'll rest as well seeing as I couldn't really sneak over there with my sunrod blaring light :p

Male Human Rogue (Knife Master), 2 | HP: 19/19 | AC: 17/14/13 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +4 | Perc: +7 |

Lol. Roll20.

Also, you can't kill jamako. He's my hat.

m Drow "ranger"2 | HP: 18/18 | AC: 16/15/14/13 | Fort: +8| Ref: +5 | Will: +6 | Init: +1 | Perc: 1 |

Wasn't gonna.

Damn straight you wasn't gunna! Nobody kills Jamako. The party exists for the purpose of 'protecting' Jamako.

I'm amused by the way Scotty and Jamako work together by the way. Jamako practically views the rogue as a trusty steed, while the Scotty views the sorcerer as a fancy hat. XD

Male Human Rogue (Knife Master), 2 | HP: 19/19 | AC: 17/14/13 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +4 | Perc: +7 |

You need to get a wand of entangle or some spell that will deny people their dex bonus, and then sit on my head and set me up for sneak damage! Also casting burning hands from my head seems pretty heavy metal.

goooo dragon hat!!!

Scotty tolerates the kobold simply for the fact he is amused ;p

But I'm a much nicer guy than Scotty.

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Wizard 2 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 11 FF: 10 | Fort: +1 | Ref: +3 | Will: +3 | Init: +0 | Perc: +2 |

Before I continue: Busy fricking day for you lot, well done XD.

AM I starting out at level one with 0 XP or comparable to the team?

m Drow "ranger"2 | HP: 18/18 | AC: 16/15/14/13 | Fort: +8| Ref: +5 | Will: +6 | Init: +1 | Perc: 1 |

Hopefully compare able lvl wise enjoy that 1000 gp wbl. Unless you can convince the gm that your group was nearly tpked and you came here as it is a highly defensible gapless building and you don't want to die.

Male Human Rogue (Knife Master), 2 | HP: 19/19 | AC: 17/14/13 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +4 | Perc: +7 |

m Drow "ranger"2 | HP: 18/18 | AC: 16/15/14/13 | Fort: +8| Ref: +5 | Will: +6 | Init: +1 | Perc: 1 |

Makes some sense Ratticus could be his familiar and if hid group the stayed away from the horribly evil weapons the golems would still be there. The GM would need to nerf ratling till lvl seven and the improved familiar feat. Good way to work it out rather than up putting up a sign saying wizard wanted.

Male Human Rogue (Knife Master), 2 | HP: 19/19 | AC: 17/14/13 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +4 | Perc: +7 |

I like the help wanted sign idea. I want to kill that ratling, and Id feel bad killing an allies familiar ;p maybe

m Drow "ranger"2 | HP: 18/18 | AC: 16/15/14/13 | Fort: +8| Ref: +5 | Will: +6 | Init: +1 | Perc: 1 |

Its only like 400 gold at lvl two you can always sacrifice a part of your cut.

Male Human Rogue (Knife Master), 2 | HP: 19/19 | AC: 17/14/13 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +4 | Perc: +7 |

I'm not buying him a new familiar! And I mean. Isn't it like a tragic soul shattering heart breaking loss for a wizard?

It'll be so sweet when we kill ratticus!

Male Anumus (Wolf) Ranger 1 | HP: 11/11 | AC: 18 | TAC: 13 | FFAC: 15 | CMD: 17 | FCMD: 14 | Fort: +3 | Ref: +5 | Will: +1 | Init: +3 | Perc: +7

Why are you two so damned determined to murder my minion!? D:

m Drow "ranger"2 | HP: 18/18 | AC: 16/15/14/13 | Fort: +8| Ref: +5 | Will: +6 | Init: +1 | Perc: 1 |

No that's the arcane bonded weapon that messes up their soul familiars are just a free +to something or a action bonus in combat.

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Wizard 2 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 11 FF: 10 | Fort: +1 | Ref: +3 | Will: +3 | Init: +0 | Perc: +2 |

Yeah, if I lose my staff, it takes a whole week for me to replace it. :/

Harland: I've thought about it and, while I generally prefer to start new PCs at level one and have them "earn" their levels, I'm going to let you start at level 2 (with the exact experience you need to hit that level). Your gear, however, will still be your level 1 starting gear. I think that's a decent enough compromise. The rest of the group had to literally risk their lives to get all that treasure, and I'm not using treasure-by-level anyway.

I generally dislike starting magic items anyway. It diminishes treasure hunting somewhat when your character began play wearing the GNP of a small kingdom.

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Wizard 2 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 11 FF: 10 | Fort: +1 | Ref: +3 | Will: +3 | Init: +0 | Perc: +2 |

You can roll until you get something other than one (unless you're afraid that will only enrage God and force him to take more drastic measures).

DM, could you remind me again the layout of the museum? I know there's the room were in and then the long hallway with the columns, but I can't remember if / where any other doors or passages were.

Brain

Jamako doesn't even have time to squeeze through the hole when Drovic, seething with a rage only an offended Drow can know, removes the single largest boulder by grabbing it and tossing it aside, leaving enough room for the rest of you to follow.

Those of you with Darkvision are struck by how well you can see inside the building, so perfectly is it designed for darkvision. Every angle and every curve are precisely placed to enhance darkvision. Everyone's effective Darkvision is doubled while inside the building.

The entrance leads into what appears to be some kind of lobby, dominated by four giant statues of ornately armed and armored dwarves that serve as columns. There are also many smaller dwarf-sized metal statues embedded into the walls, almost like bas reliefs. The effect is powerful.

There are three large archways in the hallway leading into different rooms, each with the same style of dwarven lettering as the entrance above them. The archways lead North, East and West. None of you have any idea what they say.

Through the doorway to the north you can see the room is centered around a giant (literally, as in sized for a giant) battleaxe. It is half lodged in a stone dias, and has some kind of plaque. There seem like there may be other displays in the room but you can't see any detail from where you are.

Through the doorway to the east you can see rows of statues. Those of you with darkvision catch that the statues are made of a higher quality of stone than the column statues.

All you can see through the doorway to the west is that there is an engraved wall depicting a massive battle between dwarves and drow.

You see no sign of the dirty rat (okay, technically he's pretty clean right now). He's small enough that there are hundreds of potential hiding places.

The best part of that fight is that i have a legitimate excuse to beat the ship out of statues.

Male Human Rogue (Knife Master), 2 | HP: 19/19 | AC: 17/14/13 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +4 | Perc: +7 |

Idk Drovik... I don't think an 8 is enough for Scotty to resist snapping a sunrod in your eyes again ;p

m Drow "ranger"2 | HP: 18/18 | AC: 16/15/14/13 | Fort: +8| Ref: +5 | Will: +6 | Init: +1 | Perc: 1 |

Don't forget the plus 10 because I will strip your skin from your bones. Have Silver heal you and do it again. Oh and I can sunder you sunrod in a single attack. Leaving you the choice to grab a weapon or another sunrod.

Male Human Rogue (Knife Master), 2 | HP: 19/19 | AC: 17/14/13 | Fort: +2 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +4 | Perc: +7 |

But I won't. Just for you. Because your gonna start playing in hidden vault and need to save me from giant centipedes.

Couple of days ago I sent Charlemagne a message. Sine he hasn't responded I'm going to operate under the assumption he's dropped from the campaign... I'll check once every few days, but I'm guessing this is over.

Aw, don't say that! It's only been a couple days? Sometimes people just get busy? I would hope if he really intended to end it only a matter of days after he started it, he would let us know.

@ Just as a heads up - PM'ed C-Brain yesterday after queries and an absence of four or five days at least on the good guys thread but nothing yet.

Nothing here either. Now I feel a bit worried.
