Looking at the rules and the forums he is the conclusion I have reached...
Drawing a weapon as part of a normal move action requires a bab +1. Normal move is what is listed on your character sheet under movement. Thus if you are climbing a ladder at a 1/4 speed that is not normal movement. If you have spider climb spell that gives you a climb speed then that movement becomes normal for you. Same thing for swimming. You can't double move underwater and draw a weapon at the same time unless you have a spell like touch of the sea that grants a swim speed.
Hopefully this helps clarify some of the questions thus far.
Maelchar you will be able to use your weapon ability to create a weapon so you are good. Gartih has a gauntlet which is acceptable although climbing requires both hands so his shield won't be ready yet.
For those that acted already I will let you try to make an accelerated climb to move at 1/2 speed at a climb check of DC 10. Those that haven't acted have the choice of accelerated climbing or normal climbing as well.

The boards were grinding to a halt for me too - Paizo had posted a warning informing that they were having a LOT of requests on the server because of the Golem Sale.
I was wondering... Anyone has any idea on how far away from leveling we may be? :D
Any consensus on what people are doing? I saw Ryu pile bodies up but no response if pressing on and using potions or barricading yourselves in or going back the way you came to Neathholm.
Do what he can to make the others secure while they make up their mind on what to do.
If that involves barricading the doors so that the others can take 24 hour nap and refresh HP and spells; he'll do it, as this the most defensible place that they've found formally on the trip so far.
If the others want to make a wider sweep of the area and try to clean out what may be behind the door first, he's down with that, too.
If they want to go back and climb down the ropes to the area below and check that out first, he's down with that, too.
He's just waiting for the other players decide what they're going to do.
If we're all agreed to camp for the day/night than Ryu will wait before it's formally "sundown" and accept some healing via a spell, rather than a potion.
This will conserve potions and the spells will be refreshed in the morning. But he'll wait until the end of the day before he does that (if needed) just in case more attacks come through at some point.
Since Zeriax mentioned it I will inform you that after this ambush, you only hve 1 more encounter and some rp to go till you level to third...enjoy thinking about what to do.
