The doors are blasted by all five of Eugeni’s orbs, and chunks of gold and jewels go flying across the room! As the debris settles, you see the stone door beneath is damaged, but minimally so.

Keep forgetting this...but you can see magical auras on every surface, as well as the torches, and even the air itself. The whole mess of auras is a bit confusing but impressive.

Sadly, I'm assuming that Holy and precision damage and bleed don't effect this door. *Perhaps* Risky Striker which says "You can choose to take a –1 penalty to AC to gain a +2 bonus on melee damage rolls against creatures two or more size categories larger than you."

The door's certainly big but I'll leave it to Thron to tell me if the feat counts it as a Creature. If so, that's another +10 damage / hit

"And ol' Jeeves takes the lead!" the Holy Vindicator proclaims after a series of solid swings.


From beyond the doors, you hear a deep, guttural voice call out "Open the doors!" and a moment later, the doors swing open to reveal what would horrify less seasoned adventurers. Two bulbous, immense creatures of blubber float in the air above four lion-like claws, and their mouths unnaturally wide and full of rows of sharp, shark-like teeth! Around a corner you can see a Storm Giant making its way towards, as well as a cloud giant near the door and a lever. And even so...more heavy footsteps can be heard approaching even yet!

The flying monstrosities float forward and snap their immense jaws at Zoli and Jeevika, their anatomies moving in ways that defy logic. Zoli manages to narrowly avoid hers, while the other manages to pierce Jeevika's wards and deliver a nasty chomp to the elf-warrior!

In the middle of her casting, Ryli quickly expends some of her stored power to interfere with the foul creature's attack on Jeevika. Divine Interference -- Sacrificing air geyser, a 3rd level spell for a -3 on its reroll.

Then her spell completes and 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 greater earth elementals erupt from the ground in the midst of their enemies. Ryli shouts in Terran and they immediately begin pounding on one of the horrid creatures.

Thanks to some much appreciated Divine Interference, Jeevika manages to parry the horrific monster's attack at the last second.

As she steps forward, the Holy Vindicator's form rapidly swells in mass and power. While she appears otherwise unchanged to the Rangers and their allies, their various foes suddenly see her as everything they fear. Despite her enhanced size, a smirking Jeevika then seemingly vanishes into the shadows cast by her many enemies!

Jeevika takes a 5-foot step forward and then defensively casts FRIGHTFUL ASPECT. She is now Large and has DR 10/Magic and SR 18. All enemies within thirty feet of her are now Shaken. No Save. Jeeves then Hides in Plain Sight using the nearby red giant's shadow.

Stealth - Hiding in Plain Sight (Size Penalty): 1d20 + 34 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 34 - 4 = 48

Thanks to Dampen Presence, Jeeves cannot be detected by Blindsense or Blindsight. Scent and Tremorsense still work... for now. The Shaken effect is based on an aura, so even if they can't see her, Jeevika's mere presence is still scaring these goons.

The floating monstrosities again lash out, this time with claws as well as their bites! However, Zoli is easily able to avoid all of their attacks.

Suddenly, the finishing words of magic of a spell can be heard from behind you, and a man materializes floating high in the chamber, and a massive T-Rex appears! It roars out, the sounds reverberating painfully through the chamber, before it clamps its massive jaws down onto Eugeni! He then sends five orbs of energy soaring at him, all of which collide with maximum impact!

Meanwhile, the giants in the hall press their own assault. The storm giant carves three massive chunks out of the elemental near him, while the cloud giant near Jeevika swings wildly at where she was...managing to connect on his final swing and deliver a painful blow! Another clubs the elemental near it.

Caveat: I had made this post yesterday morning (painstakingly) only to learn after I had gotten to work that Paizo had eaten it. It kind of broke me. Fortunately, I had it copy/pasted still on my computer clipboard, so I was able to repost it. I dunno if the numbers all match up appropriately (I think they do, based on my scan over it this morning), but at the time, I know for a fact they were all right, so I'm going with the original results (though I'm like 95% sure they are the exact same scores and results as the above values) just for my own sanity. Anyway, random venting completed. Go kill some bad guys!

He wasn't invisible. He floated in through the wall...though you likely didn't see that as I'm sure your eyes were pointed at the door at the time.

The elemental Ryli commanded to rejoin the fray finds that it cannot travel through the stone of this complex, and instead walks boldly over to join the fight. En route, it takes a devastating bite from the blubbery behemoth, leaving it barely able to continue...but it can and does.

As the heroines up front cut into the fleshy beasts, their blood sizzles and burns everything it touches! The nearby elementals suffer greatly from this, two of them succumbing to the splashing acid entirely!

The rune giant bellows out a command to the smaller giants in front of it to stand aside, and they begin pressing themselves against the wall to make room. The lead one, though, takes the chance to take some swings at the nearest elemental, and bashes two large chunks from it.

Once the rune giant moves forward, the runes on his skin flash and a wave of fire and electricity washes over the heroes in the doorway. Zoli is fine, and though Olympus and Jeevika do manage to avoid the most of it, they are still badly burned.

Then...metal footfalls close the gap and make their way around the corner. A blur of gleaming gold lunges forward to the elemental, who tries to slam a fist down onto the comparatively minuscule foe approaching it compared to the rest arrayed before you. It dodges the attack effortlessly before slicing through the stone behemoth with a golden curved blade, causing it to vanish back to the realm from whence it came. The figure, clad in golden armor and draped in a lavish violet cloak, turns her body and gaze towards you in the doorway. Her expression is emotionless, seemingly intent with purpose. Which is chilling since Zoli recognizes the face well.

Ameiko.

As Eugeni concludes his spell, the mage gives a smile. "A quaint tactic. One that clearly has worked on the inferior foes you have encountered before. But now you find yourself against the apprentice to the Runelord of Greed himself, Khalib..." as he carefully works some magic and a green beam of energy surges forward and collides with the wall just before the T-Rex, causing the whole wall to collapse in a glimmer of energy!

Not even realizing his path had ever been hindered, the T-Rex advances, and again chomps down on Eugeni! Eugeni's magic continues to prevent the creatures teeth from taking permanent hold, but has done nothing for the pain of the bite!

In the hallway, the storm giants advance and strike out at Zoli, who nimbly avoids their attacks. A third storm giant files in behind Ameiko and the other two, staring through the door at the combatants beyond...

Behind it, a lamia appears from the same hallway the storm giants and Ameiko arrived from, and by the sounds of things...even more combatants are approaching...

Can't post in the discussion thread for some reason, so while I think over Jeevika's actions, I'll post my recommendations here.

@Thron: Are the cloud giants wielding magic weapons? Thanks to FRIGHTFUL ASPECT, Jeevika currently has DR 10/Magic. I asked but never got an answer in the discussion thread. Also, thanks to Eaglesoul Part 2, Jeeves has Fire and Acid Resistance 5, so I believe that's 10 HP recovered. She also has Fast Healing 2. I've made those adjustments in Roll20.

@Eugeni: If was playing Eugeni, I would Quicken Battering Blast the T-Rex to send it flying, move as far away as I could from the dinosaur if it's still alive, and then Maximized Dazing Empowered Etc. Battering Blast Khalib.

@Ryli: Since your pal can fly 110 feet in one action thanks to Haste, I'd set Olympus on Khalib and then Heal Eugeni. Alternatively, if you want me to Heal Eugeni, nuke Khalib with Clashing Rocks and set Olympus on the T-Rex. Since arcane casters aren't known for their reflexes, perhaps the air elementals could also take Khalib for a wild ride?

@Zoli: I'd kill one of the storm giants or start whittling down the rune giant. If our first battle with them is an indication, killing the latter might break the spell on some of the other giants. Also, don't forget you have a Haste attack.

Ryli gives the air elementals instructions to turn into whirlwinds and then pass through the mage's space one at a time.

DC 23 Reflex saves, first to avoid taking slam damage, the second to avoid being picked up and carried in the whirlwind. Each elemental (including the fourth one, if the other three fail), will try in succession. If the mage fails a second save on any of the elementals, the whirlwind takes him to the square right next to Zoli and Jeevika and drops him there.

Eugeni's blast sends the T-Rex reeling backwards, into the far wall of the platform. However, the T-Rex maintains its footing! The dispel check seems to have no ill-effect on the giants or on Ameiko...who then proceeds to step up and slice her blade deep into Zoli's arm!

"Ameiko is no more. There is only the Champion of Greed," she says in flawless Thassilonian.

The T-Rex shakes its head and recovers, surging back towards Eugeni once more! It again bites him savagely, undoing some of the healing just done to the mage! Khalib, meanwhile, flies straight up out of the whirling elemental, and looks over the battlefield. He narrows his eyes at Eugeni, and weaves an incantation of his own! Eugeni's body takes on a greyish hue, and his movements slow to a stop as he becomes petrified!

One storm giant batters Zoli with his weapon, sending her flying backwards into the entrance chamber once again! The other seems to be looking for Jeevika, but takes a blind swing towards her last location and misses her terribly. The other continues to watch and wait from behind Ameiko.

Suddenly, four lamia's leap around the corner! Jeevika manages to slash at one, but only a duplicate image of it fades from sight as it works some magic and an inky miasma washes over the heroes momentarily. It does minimal damage, but it hurt nonetheless...

With no one besides Olympus able to see her, a trembling, terrified Jeevika allows herself to finally shed a few tears.

Once free from the petrification, Eugeni nods his thanks to Jeevika. He float-steps next to the massive elf before weaving a spell which renders him invisible.

The group can hear him continue to chant, and a moment later his words are replaced with the metallic bovine snorting of some kind of angry beast.

Then using my standard action to cast polymorph any object on myself, to replicate Beast Form IV to take the form of a Gorgon. I am burning an arcane point to boost the DC of the spell to 29.
