Diana rolls to her feet, only to duck under the half-orc pirate's whistling blade. Stabbing him with the trident, Zul, the flesh around its wound calcifying like bleached coral.
The cutthroat chops at Diana twice but misses both times , sending up splinters from gunwale and deck!
Gareth was not so fortunate. As he gained his feet, the half-orc facing him was able to slash the doughty dwarf with his falchion! 13 Damage. Jaina continues to dodge and weave, coming up under her half-orc's guard and connecting twice, splitting his lip and striking a ringing blow to his ear. Edward grits his teeth, as his comrades get hit all around. Still, he faced the choice of either another heal on Isaac, or hampering the one above.
He decided the one above might pose a greater threat.

Cast blindness on her, DC 18.
Now visible again, he cautiously takes distance, hopefully the orc requiring double move yo reach him.
"Take some distance, i'll slap you another heal."
My sweet, we could really use your help right about now."

Isaac Silvermane |

Before I do that, Edward, I think I may be down. I was waiting for my turn to update the line. I was at 24 hit points. Then I got hit for 9 by the flaming ray. So that would have brought me down to 15. Then I got hit from the half-orc for 19. That brings me down to -4. Please let me know if I'm wrong.

Isaac Silvermane |

Thank you, Spazmodeus. I apologize for not updating my hp as I take the damage. I'll make sure to do that in the future.
Isaac scowls as he takes the hit from the half-orc. That should have knocked him out. But it appears Besmara's on his side. Hearing Edward's Aquan suggestion, Isaac decides to take the bard's advice. With a nod to his opponent, he backs off.

A voice shouts out from up above, "You can't hide from me! ", then the voice begins to shout out another set of arcane syllables.
Suddenly a ring of mauve and purple flame erupts from the deck, centered on Gareth. The flames soar 20ft in to the air, immediately setting fire to a nearby sail and its rigging. The unfortunate crew of The Shrike and wreckers who were in the space that the ring of fire now occupies....were either incinerated or set on fire, most running and casting themselves into the sea or falling to the deck aflame!
Gareth and Isaac were luckily only nearby the flames when they appeared, but the heat was too much for Isaac, and he fell to the deck. 9 damage

Yes, but even if Gareth was sure about where the caster is, and right now neither he or Edward are sure, shouting above the tumult of a deck full of fighting sailors/wreckers and a curtain of roaring flame would be difficult -- the only ones that would hear him would be Edward and maybe Isaac if he were conscious.

Climbing rigging is a DC 10 activity. Climbing speed is one-quarter normal speed, to go faster...half-normal speed, incurs +5 penalty to the DC. However, I'm inclined to allow you to use your Profession (Sailor) skill instead of your Climb skill, which in this case would be a success.
