Male Gnome Druid/1

Balugarom smiles happily at the news of supplies and a riding dog I will have to tell ShadowStride that he can't be replaced. That wolf can get naughty.

At Kyranda's invitation he runs over to join her blushing slightly at the wink.Yes supplies!!!. He beckons ShadowStride and wanders out.

Female Elven Sorceress (1), HP 8/8, AC 13, Touch 13, Flat 10, Init +7, Perc +1

As Kyranda makes her comment as she leaves about Allystra's boots Allystra smiles to herself and stiffles a small laugh.

Allystra remains while the other's file out of the room, she wanders over to the gem again and examines it with a smile on her face.

Dench nods in understanding, Reasonable to be certain. I will do my best to carry out this, and any other task assigned to me.

Hefting his pack up off the floor he looks expectantly at the others.

If any of you have need of me I will be waiting outside.

With one last glance to Valynce he nods, and then leaves to wait outside the room for the others.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/1

Heads off to shop to get supplies.

Female Human Archmage / Rogue / Druid

Alright if anyone has gold and would like to by any supplies please feel free to start shopping. Let me know when you want to go into the shops and I will RP the store owners.

Male Half-Elf Ranger/1

Did I misunderstand Valynce? I thought she would give us paper and stuff for free.

Female Human Archmage / Rogue / Druid

No you didn't the Paper and Writing tools are free, anything else you want to pick up in a shop will have to be payed for. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

Dench is all set with the supplies he has, and will wait for the others to return from shopping.

Male Gnome Druid/1

Balugarom enters the shop grabbing a Journal and ink supplies. He stares at the shop keeper inquisitively "Spell component pouch?"

Female Human Archmage / Rogue / Druid

The door opens to the room and Valynce steps out with Allystra. She turns to Kyranda. Please come in. She smiles and motions for to follow her back into the room.

At the shop

A huge burly half-orc looks down over the counter at Bal. At first with gruff look on his face but then noticing who is at the counter.

With a a big smile and a hearty laugh his deep voice rumbles out: Ah...Little one I have been expecting you and your group. Yes yes a spell component pouch... He turns back to the shelf behind him. Just one moment... Lets see here... There is some rustling and some items being shifted around.

Ah yes... Here we go, a spell component pouch... Let us see here
He takes out a pair of spectacles and places them on his face and peers down at the tag.

That will be hmmm... it says five gold I bet we could do three. Sound good little one? He smiles wide his tusks protruding even further from his mouth.

Sczarni

Female Human 5th Cleric

turns ans smiles towards Valynce yes ma'am, this is quite unexpected, I did not think that I would be invited in.

what... hmm I ponder what this is about? I wonder if it has anything to do with my comment about her boots....

heading back into the room she states Twiddlesticks sweetie can you grab me a journal and a 2 pens and a vial of ink for me please?

Male Half-Elf Rogue/1

Dryten follows Balugarom into the shop and also grabs a journal, ink and pen. Upon Balugarom's completion of his sale, Dryten approaches the shop-keeper.

Might I speak with you discreetly fine sir?

Half Orc Shopkeeper:
I will not insult you with the haggling of prices, but I do have a request of you. I am in need of a set of Thieves tools and a small mirror. I cannot pay you now, but if you were to acquire these items and set them aside for me, I will find the gold to pay you. In fact we may even be able to barter in a day or so. Are there any particular items you are in need of? I have skills that allow me to obtain items others may not...given the right tools and motivation.
Again, I thank you for your discretion in this matter

I don't care if anyone reads that, I just know some people take their RP seriously and I want them to have a choice to refrain from personal dialogue.

Female Elven Sorceress (1), HP 8/8, AC 13, Touch 13, Flat 10, Init +7, Perc +1

Allystra wanders around aimlessly outside for a while, occasionally stopping to inspect an object or bug on the ground.

After a while she wanders up to Dench.

Dench is it?

She says with a smiles and she walks around him in a circle before stopping in front of him.

She awkwardly extends her hand for a handshake.

What is it you do Dench? I assume you smash things or cut them? Very useful traits to be sure

She nods with approval at his armour and his weapons and gives him a friendly smile.

But what about you Dench? What's in there? She points at his head Who is Dench?

Male Gnome Druid/1

"HOO HOO. Thankyou thankyou" is all Balugarom can manage to say before joyful tears fill his eyes.

On his way out he grabs the items that Kyranda asked for and waits standing impatiently with the rest of the party.

Female Human Archmage / Rogue / Druid

Keleth enters the shop and picks up a journal, an inkpen, and a vial of ink. Then heading outside to wait next to the horses.

As Bal leaves Have a safe trip little one.

Dryten comes in and speaks with the shopkeep. The shopkeep looks over his glasses at Dryten: Unfortunatly for you I do not barter...
His voice coming out gruff and flat.
But then changing his tone to being friendly. But luckily for you I do have a small mirror...but not a his voice drops very low noticing other customers in the shop set of thieves tools. I can advance you the mirror with a two gold piece interest upon return. He winks at Dyten

You will probably have to wait until you are in Waterdeep for your other item

Male Half-Elf Rogue/1

I thank you, I will honor our deal and pay you in full upon my return.

Goodies in tow, Dryten leaves the shop with a head nod to the Shop Keeper and joins Balugarom outside.

Shall we head to the Inn my colorful friend?

Male Gnome Druid/1

"Hmm I am colourful aren't I" He grins and looks up at Dryten "Yes, yes we shall" he glances hesitantly at the items he's holding for Kyranda. "We should wait for the pretty lady first".

Dench cocks an eyebrow in curiosity at Allystra's query.

I must confess you are the first person to ask who I am aside from at man-at-arms, he responds with a hint of amusement. While yes I am skilled in cutting things with my blade, I prefer to find a more reasonable way to deal with my enemies if possible.

As for me myself I'm trying to set myself apart from others of my kind, he says with a slight sigh. I want to prove that not all of my people are mindless brutes that enjoy nothing but carnage and mayhem.

Female Elven Sorceress (1), HP 8/8, AC 13, Touch 13, Flat 10, Init +7, Perc +1

Allystra nods, hmmm, I can understand that...yet to a degree your chosen path, doesn't it force others to continue to see you as a brute and a blade? Perhaps the Dench you know She points to his head again will never be the Dench the world sees unless you abandon completely all the trappings of what your people are known to be like...

She seems to fade off and looks into the distance, and just as quickly snaps back, giving Dench her full attention and speaking rapidly. But then it is a part of you and to deny that, no matter what your end objective is would be to deny where you came from and thus you must maintain those trappings to add to the contrast to your kind that you could be!

She says with an exuberant excitement, not really noticing if Dench is following her train of thought or not. She seems to almost be speaking to herself. She pauses...

Well Dench, whatever it is that you become I hope I'm there to see it, if nothing else it will be an adventure, and I'm glad our adventure will share the same path, even if it is just for a time.

She gives him a warm and friendly smile and maybe you can teach me how to use this better she laughs as she grips her hefty morningstar with both hands and gives it a few hazard practice swings.

Sczarni

Female Human 5th Cleric

walks out of the door, tucking something into her shirt

Twiddle?, thank you sweetie for grabing my books for me I appericate that a lot.
looks around at everyone?

Right, is everyone here then? Let's see. Allystra, Dench, Twiddle, Dryten, Keleth, and myself. Looks like we all are here..... Now. before we set off, I think that we need to choose a party leader and I think that it should be Keleth.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 Diplomacy check to persuade the other members to think the same way
this way that I can keep an eye on him

All I can say is that I will be myself and do my best to respect others, he says to Allystra. If people refuse to see me for who I am, and not who my people are, I can not force them to change.

This adventure should prove to be very interesting given our current companions. I look forward to sharing the journey with you all.

Female Human Archmage / Rogue / Druid

Everyone who doesn't automatically agree roll a sense motive check against Kyranda. Bal your roll will include a -2 this time. As you are still infatuated by her.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/1

I am sure we will be successful in our mission, as long as we have trust in each other. I am used to working on my own, but given the charge from Valynce, I will do my best to defend you all and all I ask is that you do the same.
I have no problem with Keleth leading this band of adventurers if it is what he wants. My question is why do you think he should lead us Kyranda?

sense motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Female Elven Sorceress (1), HP 8/8, AC 13, Touch 13, Flat 10, Init +7, Perc +1

Allystra still appears distracted by sound of her morning star as she swings it back and forth appearing to not notice or hear Kyranda at first.

Abruptly she stops and turns to the party. Adventures are such a strange thing, so many twists and turns, so many possible roads to success or missteps to failure, destiny's and prophecies fulfilled, or unravelled...Well if Keleth can lead us to the stairs perhaps he would make the best leader.

Sense motive Check: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8

Female Human Archmage / Rogue / Druid

Please only look at your check results.
Dryten only

Sense Motive:
Your intuition reveals that Kyranda probably has an ulterior motive about this suggestion and that you may want to be cautious with your decision on this matter.

Allystra only

Sense Motive:
Your intuition seems to tell you that Kyranda has made a good suggestion.

Male Half-Elf Ranger/1

Well, party leader. I have never been the leader of anything. I have had no practice. I was thinking of inaugurating Allystra, but I guess Kyranda has an opinion. I don't really trust her right now, what did she put in her shirt? I guess being a leader would help me find out, and get information from Allystra too. Well, I will just let it develop and see what others thing.

Sense Motive 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Sczarni

Female Human 5th Cleric

To answer your question Dryten. I think that he should lead the party at least for now, because he seems like the one who took the time to investigate anything in the room and he got a nasty little shock out of it, besides he is direct and straight to the point, I mean look at what he stated to us when we all just meet a couple of minutes ago. "enough with these pleasantries, let us find why we are here" or something like that, There for in my mind a decent leader.
hmm... I hope that bought that...

Female Elven Sorceress (1), HP 8/8, AC 13, Touch 13, Flat 10, Init +7, Perc +1

Mmhmm, to the point and inquisitive, good qualities in a leader... Allystra nods absently.

Well I'm ready to go...I think, WAIT!! She roots around in her bag on the ground ...yes, okay She stands up Which way? She loops the bag over her shoulder and turns to Keleth looking at him with wide eyes.

Male Gnome Druid/1

"I've never had a 'leader' before." he stares mouth agape at Keleth.

He tries to see into Allystra's bag as she rustles around in it.

Perception:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Before turning once more to Kelth and says "Yes show us the way. Or maybe we can all find the way, or maybe we already know the way." His voice gets squeaky excitement clearly taking over.

Female Human Archmage / Rogue / Druid

For Balugarom and Keleth Only

Sense Motive:
Your intuition reveals that Kyranda probably has an ulterior motive about this suggestion and that you may want to be cautious with your decision on this matter.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/1

Believe me I am confident Keleth can lead us. I have only led myself and my skills have not always allowed me to work with other adventurers. I am sure I will learn a lot from you all.

So let us get it all out in the open, what skills do you all possess?

I have spent the past several years honing my skills in stealth and missions with discreet or sensitive objectives.

Male Gnome Druid/1

"Hmmm sneaky, sneaky he might try to steal my nest." Balugarom suddenly realised with a start that he was talking out loud. "I mean, I am a naturist. I mean Druid. I am a Druid!!!. Oh and ShadowStride can bite."

Dench seems a touch amused as they all debate on who should be the leader of the group.

If anything the journey won't be dull, he concludes.

I am what you see, Dryten. I have some skill with blade and shield, he responds to the inquiry about skills.

As entertaining as the conversation has been to this point shouldn't we get moving? Or are we going to let other groups get to our goals before us.

Sczarni

Female Human 5th Cleric

So, as some of you know I am a cleric of Calistria. I have seen some of you in my temple before and I have heard about all of you before I came to this party. It is a pleasure to be here and I am more then willing to share my healing both physical and mental healing I offer so if anyone ever needs to talk or needs any type of healing feel free to let me know and I will share a tent with you. I pull out the talisman from my shirt to show my holy symbol and then put it back in between my cleavage

I believe that Dench is correct that we should get going. well, that might settle things and get some coins in my purse I hope. .

Walks over to twiddle and rubs his head and kisses his forehead come now cutie go over to a pretty white horse and mounts smoothly

Male Half-Elf Ranger/1

What is Kyranda thinking? The more I see of her the less I like her. Well I guess I will let them make me leader, but if she pulls another tricky move, it will be over for her.

I will accept the position of leader, though I worn you all I have little practice at such a job. As for skills, I spend time hunting and tracking, and my skills with a bow are decent. Now, let us depart.

Keleth gives a small warning look at Kyranda and then moves towards the horses.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/1

Well then, let us get going. The journey will be entertaining to say the least

Male Gnome Druid/1

Balugarom wanders over to his Riding Dog "Lets ride!!!".

Female Human Archmage / Rogue / Druid

Everyone mounts there respective animals and.... does anyone know where Waterdeep is? :-)

Sczarni

Female Human 5th Cleric

it is southwest from Silverymoon. it is about a good month or two ride via animals. Our best bet it is to follow the road south and go thru Everlund first and the long trek thru to Yartar to Tribor the to waterdeep

Male Half-Elf Ranger/1

Would I need to roll for that or is it common knowledge. Being unfamiliar with the world I am unsure.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/1

perhaps we should get a map

Female Human Archmage / Rogue / Druid

For the most part that was an in game question. Meant as a joke, sorry. Is everyone ready to go?

Sczarni

Female Human 5th Cleric

Looks at Keleth and states ready to go sir!

Dench was just waiting for everyone else to be ready. :)

Looking to Keleth, Dench says, I am ready to depart as well, sir.

Male Half-Elf Ranger/1

Well, if everyone is ready, we can go

Keleth pushes his horse forward and turns down to the southern road.

I believe we should reach Everlund in about two days.

By looking at the wiki it seems like it will only take about twenty five days to get down to Waterdeep.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/1

Dryten hops on his horse and follows the party.

This should be quite the journey, I better stay alert

Dench nudges his horse to follow after Keleth.

Good to know, Dench says as he looks around. I'll be keeping an eye out as we travel for anything that could slow us down.

Female Elven Sorceress (1), HP 8/8, AC 13, Touch 13, Flat 10, Init +7, Perc +1

Allystra Mounts her horse without further word and waits to follow Keleth's lead.

Female Human Archmage / Rogue / Druid

The group about half way to Waterdeep has had little trouble in their journey. The day is getting shorter and night is approaching. What do you do? Conitnue riding through the night or set up camp? If you decided to set up camp their is a small clearing off the trail to your right that is encircled by some trees. A small stream flows through farthest side away from you in the clearing. You cannot make out much more from where you are.

To your left are more trees and other possible areas to rest.

Sczarni

Female Human 5th Cleric

Mumbles a few divine words and raises her holy symbol and the strolls over to keleth and touches his hand gently casts Guidance -

guidance:
This spell imbues the subject with a touch of divine guidance. The creature gets a +1 competence bonus on a single attack roll, saving throw, or skill check. It must choose to use the bonus before making the roll to which it applies.
- Keleth, please use your skills to tell us where is the best place to sleep something inside me feels uneasy tonight
