"Maledicta...no...Vaeri," the elf says. "My name is Vaeri."

CSA:
Gashka looks up at Anyka with her tear streaked face, "I'm sorry Anyka....I just...I feel like...like I don't...even know who I am anymore." She says a little more clearly as her sobs subside slightly and she's able to get her breath a little easier.

CSA:
"Vaeri," Parthenia says. "What did Sefirous do to you?"

Dillon smiles and sits next to Rajni. "I wouldn't mind that, if you didn't have anything else to do."

CSA:
Vaeri stares blankly ahead. "My town...was in Sirrion. Slavers came...took my family away. Two of them tried to attack me, but Sefirous appeared out of nowhere. He...he killed them...ate their souls. He thought about killing me, but instead gave me power...power to take revenge...power to wage a war. All I remember after that is darkness...when I started hurting...when he was gone, I'd remember things. He was never gone for long...no, he'd always come back. He never said he loved me or that he cared...but he always came back."

Tears stream down her face as she puts her hand up against the glass. Dau looks at the group. "What do you want to do about her? I'm not sure there is much you can learn about this Sefirous. I can take you to the library or where the daemon is."

CSA:
"I want to take her when we leave," Parthenia says. "I don't know what you do with your prisoners. It's apparent that you do not keep them. She needs a life...a life free from this addiction. I believe we can give it to her."

CSA:
Dau nods. "We can talk to the Queen afterward. We do not keep prisoners here, instead we remove their memories of seeing and being on Sanctuary and release them on Everwind Isle or Khorama...whichever may be closer. The authorities there know when we let them go and they handle it from there."

"I think we should head to the library next," Chris suggests. "We can save meeting this daemon for last."

CSA:
Allowing Anyka to take over the comforting of her friend she gently lets go of Gashka and stands up, "I think that's a good idea. Both taking her with us, and going to the Library first. The more information we can gather, the better." She says before looking down at where Gashka still sits on the floor. She felt for her, but she needed to pull it together if they were to survive this.

Anyka kneels beside Gashka wrapping her arms around her. "I know, it's okay.......we'll get through this....he can't hurt us anymore." she says quietly, tears of her own beginning to flow.

CSA:
Realizing that it really was okay to eel what she was feeling, and seeing Anyka finally give vent to her own feelings makes her realize that she truly isn't in azny of this alone. As they kneel on the floor together Gashka wraps her own arms around Anyka as they cry out years of anger, frustration, and grief.

Leaning into his side while she sips on her coffee she smiles, "I would like that too, but I'd have to go home and let mama know first so she doesn't worry, and then I'd have to pack some things for me and Shamara. I also have to go see Halfpocket in the morning. I went there today, but there was a note saying he was closed and for me to come back tomorrow. You know what else? I made breakfast all by myself this morning for everyone, and I didn't even burn anything." She says with a happy sound to her voice.

"That's very good," Dillon says proudly. "Well, if you want to go home and come back, I'll be waiting."

CSA:
Parthenia puts a hand on the glass. "We will be back, Vaeri."

With a soft sigh, she looks at Dau. "Take us to the library please."

CSA:
"Whenever you're ready," Dau says with a nod at the two women on the floor.

She finishes her coffee, "I think I'm warmed up enough to go back out in it now. I don't want mama to worry about me. Would you like me to rinse out my cup before I go?"

CSA:
Gashka wipes her face and looks up, "I...I'm sorry. We'll be okay, it's just been a lot to deal with lately and this situation reminds us of something we were going through back home. We'll be okay though, promise. We can do this. Right Anyka?" She asks her sister as she seems to get some semblance of control over herself. The release had been much needed and very cathartic, but they had work to do and they couldn't stay on the floor all day. She didn't know if she would ever love someone again the way she loved tickle, but she had her sister and Chris with her for now, as well as people that obviously cared about them, and that was enough for now.

"I can get it," Dillon says, taking the cup. "Just be safe while you're out there."

She wraps her arms around him before giving him a soft kiss, "I will love. I'll be back as soon as I can, and I promise I'll be careful. I made sure to bundle up really good before I left the house, I'll just try not to stumble into any deep patches." Getting up she goes to the front door to put her thick winter wear on.

Dillon gives Rajni a kiss before she heads off.

Sighing she smiles as she leaves and heads back home.

Getting back she stomps the snow off of her boots before going back inside, "Mama, I'm home."

Rajni sees the two for yesterday talking with Toni as Asha comes up to her. "I guess Halfpocket wasn't open."

She shakes her head, "No, he wasn't...but he left a note asking me to come back tomorrow. I went to see Dillon and he made some coffee to warm me back up and we sat and talked for a little bit. That's why it took me a little bit to get back home." She kind of looks away from her mother for a minute while working up her courage before looking back at her. Taking a deep breath she says, "He's stuck inside for a while until this stuff clears up, and he's all alone. He has plenty of supplies...but I'd like to go back and stay with him until he can get out again. I can take Shamara with me so you don't have to worry about taking care of her, and I can check and see if Hadrinn is in later. I don't even think his place is open right now. The only place I saw people going in and out of was the Common House, and Dillon's place is closer to Halfpocket's store." She takes another breath, "I know you said I'm an adult and I can make my own decisions, but I wanted to let you know what I wanted to do and make sure that it was okay with you first. I just....I miss him mama and there's this terrible aching in my chest when I'm not with him. I don't want him to be stuck inside all alone....so is it okay? May I go stay with him until the snow clears?" She asks, as she looks into her mother's eyes with ones so obviously in need of approval. She didn't want to do anything that would disgrace or embarrass her family and it was clear that she was used to seeking approval from others.

Jin hears what the young woman is saying to her mother, even as she speaks with Toni a little pang goes through her as she hears her talk about someone that she is obviously in love with. She gets a somewhat stricken look on her face for a moment before the feeling passes and she quickly wipes it off her face before giving Toni a small though somewhat unconvincing smile.

"Just check in once you've finished at Halfpocket's tomorrow," Asha says, not wanting to make an issue out of the matter. Rajni had to be free to live her life the way she wanted. Besides, she still had Juhi to baby for the time being. Treating Rajni as if she were still a child, both the good and bad parts, did no one any favors.

She smiles, a look of relief crossing her face before hugging Asha, "Thank you mama, for seeing how much he means to me. I need to go get some things together for me and Shamara and then I'll get back to him. I'll check in over at Hadrinn's later and see if he's had time to work on the samples for the wedding cake, but if he stays closed today I'll check in with him tomorrow as well." She says before going upstairs to gather her things together. She makes sure she has everything she and Shar needs for the next day or so before going back downstairs to say goodbye to her family.

Hitome rests a hand on Jin's shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze as she catches the expression on her summoner's face, clearly remembering her love.

"Try to relax, Rajni," Asha reminds her daughter.

"Yeah, nothing we can't handle. Anyka answer with a touch of her usual bravado, wiping away her tears and nodding to the others. [B]"We're ready to go whenever you are."

Jin looks at Hitome with a grateful smile for the support and nods her head to let her know she'd be okay.

After saying goodbye to everyone she goes to her mama and gives her a hug, "I love you mama, always always. I promise I'll try to relax. I just tend to get a little anxious when we can't go out and hunt."

CSA:
Anyka had always been the strong one of the three of them, and Gashka drew strength from her sister's resolve. Standing up she reaches out a hand to help Anyka up, "Yeah...we're ready." She says with that all too familiar glint in her eyes.

Asha nods. "I know. Elena isn't feeling well, so, if you want to let her know you're leaving, you might want to go to her room. Juhi's in the kitchen with Priya."

Dau takes the group to the library, an imposing structure with what appears to be three floors. The door is shut, marked with arcane sigils. "The door has been sealed for as long as anyone can remember. We don't attract many wizards here so it has been left undisturbed."

"That makes me more nervous than a daemon lurking in the city," Chris mutters.

Out of the forty sigils, Chris can tell eight are traps, designed to trigger once the door is opened.

"There are eight traps on the door that will go off once it is opened," Chris tells the group.

"Hmm...I cannot dispel magic," Parthenia says.

She shakes her head, "I don't know anything about disarming traps." She then looks at Anyka, "It seems pretty complicated and dangerous. What do you think we should do Anyka?"

She nods, "Okay mama, I'll go say goodbye to them too." She says before heading into the kitchen first, "Hey, I thought I'd let you know I'm gonna go spend some time with Dillon since he's all alone and can't get out right now."

Juhi nods. "Are you taking Shar with you?"

Priya simply smiles. "Enjoy yourself, Rajni."

She simply smiles back while her cheeks darken slightly, "Ummm...yeah, I'm going to take Shar with me. Just in case we're able to go out and hunt tomorrow. We get kinda antsy if we don't get to go out on a regular basis and it's good to keep up our skills." Looking at her aunt she says, "We will, love you auntie and Juhi. You guys take it easy and stay warm. I need to head upstairs and say goodbye to Elena and Kama." She says before giving her aunt a hug and a kiss on the cheek and giving a gentle hug to Juhi.

"Okay, we'll see you tomorrow," Juhi says.

She nods and heads up to Elena and Kama's room. She knocks quietly on the door, "It's me, Rajni. Can I come in for a minute?"

Elena groans. "Yes. Don't mind me."

Going into their room she goes and gently sits on the edge of her sisters' bed and kisses her forehead, "You're my sister and I love you, of course I worry about you. I just came by to let you know that as far as I can tell Hadrinn's is closed, but seeing that you're feeling so bad...maybe it's better that we wait on the cake tasting until tomorrow." She suggests with a slight look of concern on her face.

Elena nods. "Good idea."

She nods, "Ummm...I also wanted to let you know I'm gonna go stay with Dillon while he's stuck inside. I'll be back by tomorrow after I'm done at Halfpockets. I'll check in with Hadrinn when I take as break."

Elena smiles. "Enjoy your day with Dillon."

She nods, "Thanks Sis, I'll see you guys tomorrow. Love you." She gives them both a hug before going back downstairs. She wraps herself up in her winter wear before putting her boots on, "Alright mama, Shar and I are gonna get going now. I'll see you tomorrow."
