Asha walks into the kitchen in a warm robe. "You've been busy, my dear daughter."

She shakes her head, "I don't believe it. If you were a cold blooded murderer, you wouldn't be here trying so hard to help people and you definitely wouldn't have told us. My guess is that he was a huge jerk, you did it in self defense of one form or another, and their judgment was biased because of their feelings for him...which might I add is pretty awful of them." Taking a moment to realize what she's just said she holds up her hands, "I'm sorry...I don't mean to get too personal...it's just, I don't see you being capable of something like that without just cause. So, to me at least...that's not who you are. To me, you're just Atlana, kind and helpful keeper of this establishment and we appreciate everything you do for us. Right Hitome?" She asks before quickly shutting her mouth before she says something that really sounds stupid. Looking down she says a little more quietly, "I'm sorry...I'll shut up now. It's not my place."

She smiles as she looks up at her mama, "I wanted to try and surprise all of you with breakfast this morning...I'm sorry if it's not as good as what you make, but I thought I should start trying at least. Does it look too horrible?" She asks, hoping that it was at least edible.

Asha smiles. "It looks pretty good to me."

Smiling again she gives her mama a hug, "Oh thank you, would you like me to make you some tea to go with your breakfast?"

"Please," Asha replies.

Nodding she puts the kettle on before getting down some of the spicy tea her mama likes. When the water is ready she pours some in a mug before adding the tea bag to it and lets it steep for a couple of minutes before taking the tea bag out and taking it to her mama, "There you are. I hope the others get up soon before breakfast gets cold. I don't think it'll taste very good if it gets cold." She says thoughtfully as she gives the eggs in the pan a stir before dishing up a plate for her mama and setting it on the table, "I left stuff on the table for the toast. There's butter, honey, and jam." She says before fixing a plate for herself.

Elena wakes up feeling queasy. "Kama...I don't feel too good."

Hitome's eyes widen in surprise as she processes Atlanta's answer, as well as Jin's mouthful in response. Studying Atlanta's face for a moment she replies. "From what I've gathered of you so far, I'm sure you had a valid reason. There's usually far more to most tales that just the surface telling."

"I'm ssorry beloved." Kama says sitting up beside her. "Nausea again?"

Jin nods in agreement but stays quiet.

Elena nods, clutching her stomach.

"I'll go get you sssome tea to help. Do you need help to the bathroom?" the hijra asks, getting out of bed and pulling on a robe.

"Many people confuse Frijia and Odenheim's people," Atlana says, her face impassive. "While Frijian men treat their women equally, Odenheim's views them as property...or, even worse, as if women are stupid. I was a warrior before I was a wife. I was far too proud to be another conquest while he spent his time with whomever pleased him. Infidelity is not considered a crime, but, to me, it was."

"I think I can manage," Elena says, getting up.

She nods, "Yup, a jerk." She then blushes, "Sorry....guess I can't help myself."

Grinning slightly at Jin's reply, Hitome turns back to Atlanta. "I think I'd have to agree with Jin. No one deserves to be treated as property. You have value as a person, as a warrior, and here even more so as one who provides for others." she says solemnly.

"It is not our place to judge you, or how you reacted to being wronged. Each land has it's laws, both written and understood, some just and some unjust. I can only say that, Valwick is better off for you having left Odenheim." she finishes with a small smile.

She nods, "Yes Ma'am, what she said. I'm not very good at saying things sometimes, but Hitome is right and Valwick is lucky to have you. There were some men like that in Jin Zhao, not all of them felt that way....but there were some. It just depended on what province you lived in. Some were worse than others." She says while thinking back ofc her homeland.

"Anyway, enough of this dark talk," Atlana says. "It's going to be difficult for many people to get out today, so I should lend Mr. Jericho a hand with getting food ready. He's been kind enough to offer breakfast free of charge today."

She nods and then blushes as her stomach grumbles loudly, "Uh...yeah, we were just getting ready to look into that ourselves. I'm thinking we should try to get to Ms. Toni after we eat, we were supposed to meet up with her today about a couple of things. Well, her and Ms. Jelks...I hope we still can. Is there anything we can do to help?" She asks as she comes the rest of the way down the stairs into the main area.

"Not unless you want to clear some snow," Atlana answers.

She thinks for a moment, "Well...personally I'm not very strong, but I have a friend that could easily do that if you could show me where you need the snow cleared away from. I just...I can't call them while we're inside, I don't think it would be a good idea."

Atlana walks to the door and opens it. A good third of the doorway is blocked by snow. "Probably about five feet from here would be good. I know you can't see the main road, so I'm not worried about making it that far."

She nods before going out into the snow. Looking at Atlana she gives her a smile, "If you have a shovel I'm sure we can handle it."

Before Atlana is able to respond she closes her eyes, "Gyo Shin, I need your aid."

Appearing outside just past the door, her rather large friend looks from Atlana to Jin, "How may I be of service Jin?"

"We need some help clearing the snow away from here. Do you think you could clear a path?" She asks as she hands the mighty Gyo a shovel, "If you pick me up out of this snow so I don't freeze, I can hold onto you and show you what we need cleared." She says after handing the shovel to her friend and holding her arms up. Looking down at Atlana's surprised expression as Gyo picks her up she smiles, "We'll be back soon."

She nods while picking up her young charge. After Jin speaks to the other woman she says, "Of course Jin, just show me where and how far you need me to go." She says as she starts shoveling the snow quickly away from the doorway as Jin holds onto her while directing her. It takes about twenty minutes but Gyo successfully clears a path from the door tho where Jin thinks the main road is. Going back to the common house, she takes the visibly cold Jin from where she was holding onto her and sets her down near the doorway to the common house, "She needs something hot to drink." Being gentle she pushes Jin towards Hitome and thed other woman, "Go get warmed up Jin, I'm only a call away." She says before returning to her home plane.

Jin nods while shivering, "Oookkay Gyo, thhhank you." Looking up at Hitome and Atlana a little sheepishly she says through chattering teeth as she shakes the extra snow off of her, "Sssee...I tttold you we cccould tttake care of it."

Atlana shakes her head. "Sit down by the fire. I'll be back with something warm for you to drink. Get her a blanket, Hitome. I have some under the desk there."

She gulps and does as she's told.

I have a sinking feeling I'm gonna get a "talking to". *Looks nervous*

Toni walks into the kitchen. "Smells like breakfast is ready. Rajni, did you make it?"

The rarely-seen Malyoxa walks in behind her Summoner. "Of course she did. She was the first one awake. Well...besides me."

"Where the hell did you come from?" Toni asks, startled.

"The room...the one we sleep in," Malyoxa answers. "Do you not pay attention to me?"

"Sorry...I'm just so used to seeing you sleeping all the time that I think you're in a coma."

Malyoxa rolls her eyes, but only Rajni can really tell that she's doing it since her pupils are white. "I'm working on it."

Toni sits at the table. "I guess the snowfall makes it easier on you."

"Yes, the lack of evil day star makes my day much more bearable," Malyoxa answers, taking a seat as well. "How are you, Rajni?"

She nods, "I am well, and yes..this is my first solo attempt at cooking. I hope it's alright. What can I get you to drink?" She asks as she dishes up a couple more plates for them.

"Tea, please. A little cream and sugar."

"I'll have some milk."

The water still hot from when she made tea for her mama, she makes a cup for Malyoxa and pours Toni a glass of milk. Taking it to her she leaves the milk on the table and brings the sweetner to the table as well, "There you go Ms. Maylyoxa, I'll let you sweeten it and add your own milk so you get it the way you like it. I'm sorry breakfast is a simple affair this morning, I thought it would be easier for me to start off with meat and eggs."

"Simple is a good way to learn," the drow says, adding a little milk and sugar to her tea. "Fancy and burned does no one any favors."

She opens the oven door and stirs around the logs in there to reduce the heat so that the food on the stove stays warm but doesn't burn before returning to her plate of food at the table. Looking over at Malyoxa she gives her a smile, "Thanks, yeah..that was kinda my thinking."

Getting a blanket from where Atlana indicates, Hitome goes over tho Jin, helping the summoner wrap it around herself. Her expression is halfway between amused and a frown.

"Nicely done...except I'm the one not bothered by the cold. Try to remember that part next time?" she says shaking her head, before grinning.

She looks up with a somewhat contrite expression, though a smirk plays at the corner of her mouth. "I'm sorry?"

"I think I can manage," Elena says, getting up.

"I'll be back ssoon beloved."Kāma says heading downstairs to get Elena some tea to help with the nausea.

"You should be." Hitome says with a chuckle.

Sitting near the fire with the blanket wrapped around helps stop the shaking and she relaxes a little bit, "Okay....okay, I'll try to do better next time. Honestly I didn't think about it. I just saw something that needed to bed done, so I did it. It really is cold outg there though, sdo if anymore snow needs to be moved I'll let you and Gyo handle it okay? If I get sick you can chew my butt out later okay?" She says looking up apologetically at her friend and guardian.
