Juraan groans from his arm being hit by Triel, but keeps his nerve and pulls out his wand of Cure Light Wounds and uses it on JJ:

cure light wounds, wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

He then moves into the corner of the hall, out of Triel's line of sight, and then says to Maxim:

"After you," … he says, pointing to Triel's room …"I'm sure you don't want to miss all the fun!

"Besides, I need to freshen up a tic before rejoining the festivities."
That is, he will use his wand of CLW on himself and then rejoin the fight

Kikinnin keeps a foot planted against the floor and wall behind him, making sure to keep his axe in enough space to arc. He continues engaging Green, though he feels more the old man as JJ continues cutting down several with one blow.

"Now, Triel, is it? You're keeping bad company. You're threatening the lives of the good folk of Cauldron, with your thieving ways. You're about to answer for it, one way or another. JJ keeps killing your men, which leads me to believe he'll not stop his killing ways once he gets to you. You want to surrender now, or forfeit your life? Better hurry and decide. Stogie clenched betwixt his hair jaw, Maxim nods at the politeness of Juraan;

"Much obliged my friend... Here's hopin' I can get off a shot at the red-head afore Surabar's romantic inclinations take hold!"

With that he passes past the sorcerer, taking up a supporting station to the combat within (Move Action).

As he stands puffing, the dwur grumbles to Marigold;

"Remind me I need to get some other enchantment effects in my repertoire Lil'Lady..."


Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Knowledgeable of human anatomy and psyche, JJ keeps performing feinting movements that allows him to strike with precision on the alleybashers. He stabs the one in front in the middle of the heart, rightly killing him in the act. He follows up with a strike on the second with his side sword.

Ryan tries to land another hit but the mace feels weirdly balanced and fails.

Juraan heals JJ and retreats letting access to Maxim.

Kikinnin finishes JJ's job cutting the remaining alleybasher in the chest and dropping it to the floor.

"Oh, I see why Skaven was defeated then..." she touches her holy symbol with her shield hand while holding her flail with the other "Let's see how do you take this one" she screams while casting a spell that resounds all over the room entrance!

Having realized that this encounter seemed highly personal to JJ and that the small room was incredibly cramped already, Marigold had opted to hang back through part of the melee. For the most part, it seemed as if JJ and the others had things well in hand. However, she wasn't above offering a bit of friendly guidance to JJ.

The discipline of the training yard hard taught Ryan to ignore the effects of loud distractions, beating a large brass gong inside the training yard a favorite pastime of Ruphus while the initiates trained.

"That's not what I meant, about using your words. You've been given your due diligence. Now we need to cripple you, to stop you from injuring us further." Kikinnin focuses on the powerful woman, asking Abadar for a bit more heft to his hew, in order to set things right. Swift Action- Smite Evil

As the sonic boom hits the group, Maxim rocks on his heels and involuntarily bites through his stogie!

JJ, Marigold and Maxim are stunned by the strong sonic burst, and having to cover their ears, they let all their objects at hands to drop to the ground.

Triel smiles at the cries of pain of the group.

Ryan fights strongly against the sonic boom, but he is distracted and misses his mace attack.

The asmodean cleric smile disappears when Kikinnin chops her right ear. She cries in pain "Aaaaaah! I will show you respect. Kneel in front of Asmodeous presence, dwarf!"

Taking her heavy flail with two hands, the reckless Triel downs her weapon over the dwarf head with extreme strength!

"Asmodeo help me to trick these heretics" with a sidestep movement Triel suddenly duplicates making it difficult to tell where is she.

JJ stands stunned at the anger in Triel, and her skill. She knew she was good, but this was something else again.

He carefully retrieves his weapons, and then steps forward to strike at her.

"I've learned a trick of two since last we sparred."

Surprised as the mace returns through the door to smack him in the back, Ryan has to duck quickly to avoid a second . Yet when it disappears he turns his attentions to the trouble in front of them, shaking his head at the banter to his left.

"I hate her," he mumbles needlessly.

He then tries to use his wand of Cure Light Wounds on himself:

Juraan now pulls out and activates his scroll of Mirror Image on himself

Though her ears still ring with the aftereffects of Triel's spell, the pain thankfully subsides enough for Marigold to reach down and pick up her morningstar and shield. Armed once more she steps forward into the room and calls upon her own innate powers to mend Kikinnin's wounds.

Cure Moderate Wounds (Kikinnin): 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (5, 4) + 5 = 14

Kikinnin has more spice to sprinkle, but loses his train of thought as his wounds get closed by Marigold's more robust healing. "Thank you, miss Marigold. Oh, that's right. I've got to learn one of your tongues, one of these days. Ryan, would you tell her 'thanks'?"

Round 5 - Conditions/Buffs: Mage Armour (+4 AC)

Maxim shakes off the after effects of the stunning enchantment and grimly spits out the stub of a good cigar spoiled;

"Gods be damned! Put the infernal witch down someone!"

The dwur reaches down and retrieves his dropped pistol (Move Action). He dusts the firearm off and reprimes it ready for firing (Move Action) - more for effect as I can't do jack right now.


Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Kikinnin swings at the woman as she attempts to create her duplicate. The dwarven axe is precise and cuts at the juncture between her hand and forearm.
Concentration DC 24: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Triel loses concentration and the image is spoiled.

The next attack from Kikinnin is not that strong and results unable to penetrate the woman's full plate.

JJ recovers his sword and jumps over Triel. His blade is precise but on impacting with the armor, it is deflected by the thick steel layer.

Ryan discovers the same as JJ when "Master Key" crashes against the armor with a loud metallic sound.

Meanwhile in the corridor, Juraan makes five duplicates of himself, prepared for combat.

At the same time, Marigold recovers her weapons and steps closer to the action healing the badly wounded dwarf.

With a stern look at his spoiled cigar in the floor, Maxim kneels to recover his gun, then loads it preparing himself for the correct answer to the offense.

Much more concerned this time by the combat wittiness of her opponents the woman attempts a more careful stance while calling for power.

As her body duplicates she smiles "Prepare to kneel in front of the Ebon Triad"

Triel stares at JJ "It is a pity, I had an appealing for you darling"

Then, taking her heavy flail with both hands she attempts a dangerous movement, attacking the front line in succession.

He swings his own swords in tandem, while blue light flows from his wounds.

JJ has been paying attention and manages to avoid the duplicate image of his former lover.

A quick look at your numbers, I think the to-hit should be one lower (+9 to damage for PA on a two handed weapon would normally be -3 to hit), and the bonus damage from bulls strength should be +3 (+2 *1.5). She still hits like a bull though!

Triel's chest burst under the force of Juraan's magic missiles.

JJ strikes back on the woman's face twice with his swords without letting himself be mislead by the duplicate image.

The halfling's grim expression brightens considerably once Ryan announces that they have three more of the wands they seek. "Th-that's uh...5 or 6 we've f-found, right? That m-means there should only b-be one or t-two left to f-find!"

She gingerly takes the rather powerful healing wand from the priest and turns to her injured companions. "Let's s-see just how p-powerful this stick really is!" After using a handful of charges, she nods. "Th-that g-gets the worst of it. What's left looks to b-be mainly f-flesh wounds."

For the dazing headache Kikinnin currently entertains from the flail cudgeling, he's largely unaware of the discussion at hand, regarding healing and headcounts.

When Marigold begins another treatment with the wand, Kikinnin is snapped back to awareness, as his nose snaps back into its setting, creating an all-too-unpleasant sound between his ears. He grimaces, then scrunches his face, testing out the lingering pain, until it hurts no longer. Only then does he offer a strained smile to the halfling in thanks.

"Alright, good to know we found more of the wands. How many more do we need to recover? Three returned, three turned up here, so... two more? We're not out of the woods yet, so we need to make sure we don't delve too deep, and find ourselves unable to dig our way back to return what we've got."

The black-beard reminds himself that they now have keys, courtesy of Triel, so he readies to open doors with less hesitation, now that one of the stronger denizens has been downed. He's moving to leave, when he realizes that Triel still lives. He shakes his head, unhappy that his thoughts are so scattered.

"So... worshipper of Asmodeus. We have a problem finishing her here and now, when we've finished asking her questions?"

"And if th-they went to all the t-trouble of s-setting up down here, then her f-friends or b-bosses or whoever m-might try to b-break her out of p-prison...or k-kill her themselves s-so she can't t-talk," she points out grimly.

"Not sure I'd want to found by Asmodeus first, doubt he's very forgiving of failure"

After Ryan cracks Triel's bones and makes sure she is well received by Pharasma, Kikinnin moves out of the room and opens the door in the corridor.

This room is a combination mess hall and lounge used by Thiel's minions to relax and unwind when they get the chance.

K38. MEETING ROOM
This unremarkable room is used by Thiel to meet with her minions and hand out daily orders. A plain table and some uncomfortable chairs sit in the center and several broken chairs are stacked in the corners of the room.

Continuing to clear rooms to avoid unwanted surprises at their backs, Kikinnin presses down the short hallway towards three doors, sweeping from right, to center, to left, waiting for the others in case he's suddenly confronted by another set of foes.

Gathering up what loot is necessary, the gun-mage then follows his fellow dwur further into the bowels of the villainous lair.

More bunks fill this chamber. A quick glance reveals that while several people probably live here, the room could accommodate more people than currently use the chamber.

This room seems to be empty of anything of interest.

K39. THUG BARRACKS
This room contains several bunks; a dozen people could sleep here, although not all the beds look lived in.

One after another Kikinnin open the three doors without spotting anyone inside the rooms.

He swoops back into one of the rooms that had a door across the way, and waits for the others to take in the rooms in their own time, before poking more of the nest.

"Everyone good? We're making good time on this, but I won't rush blindly, if someone needs to study something."
