Dunbar's axe swings and returns trailing red misty droplets leaving Ēoswulf showered with wet droplets.....................which turns out to be blood and other matter as a headless body drops with a thud to the ground.
Hinkle's hands begin to trace a pattern into the sky calling upong his patron's favor upon his companions.
From the mists hearing Ēoswulf's words, comes another decidely female voice.
"Lepford's got one of them for sure...." -_-
The buildings could be an easy climb that would give you an overview of the combat on th ground if not for the mist.
Ēoswulf Gērmwynson |
"Your friend is DEAD. You will be the same soon. You should have heeded my warnings." The sound of Ēoswulf's sword being drawn from its sheath reverberates through the mist.

Everyone may act. Everyone is under the effect of Obsuring Mist.
With Maximos climbing up south of the roof, he manages to catch sight of vague figures moving about in the mist away from the rest of his companions. The rest of this unusual fog does cut off what he would normally be able to see.
Ēoswulf Gērmwynson |
Ēoswulf moves forward a step at a time until he finds a foe. When he does, he will attack them without remorse (or in this instance, much proof of skill).
(None)
Round 1 action:
move action (or 5' step) to go forward up to 30' until adjacent to at least one foe
Rolls:
longsword, attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 for slashing: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
miss chance, 1 or 2 is a miss from concealment: 1d10 ⇒ 5

Dunbar Brasstwister |
Depending on what Geo does, Dunbar's action below may assist Max (but probably not Esowulf's) actions...
After his mighty swing on the crazed halfling, Dunbar produces a simple clay flask from a pouch on his pack and he hurls it down the alley towards the sound of the voices, clouded by the mist.
Alchemists Fire vs W: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
20% to miss= 1 or 2: 1d10 ⇒ 6
Damage?: 1d6 ⇒ 6
If miss, direction of miss: 1d8 ⇒ 6
(Splash should hit W & H)
Additional intent other than fire damage possibilities and disruption of spell casting is to burn off the mist.

Geoclunicus |
Geoclunicus runs up a bit throws his flask of alchemist's fire at H.
Alchemists Fire vs H: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Damage?: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Everyone may act. No More Obsuring Mist.
Geo runs up and throws his flask elicting a yelp and then more cackling laughter from someone, likely female by the sound of her voice.
The same cackling continues she seems to do nothing and then someone bumps into Geo........insane eyes looks down and then a rustle of parchment as she grins and mouths.
"Pretty colors...."
Color Spray Will DC 14. Will take AOO from Geo.
A clank of someone in armor steps up, chanting a prayer for healing and then light flares up disappearing into the mist and beyond.
CLW 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 on Hali
There are no others steps heard.......
adjusting Dunbar's aim to account for their movement. Also I'm guessing targets as it's not indicated who. I'm assuming D. Good roll for damage though.
Dunbar tosses his flask to the cloest point which he judges as not too close and hurls it. His splash draws out......
D reflex save 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
H reflex save 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
W Reflex Save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
shrieks from two female voices and burns away enough mist for everyone to see each other.
Looking to pick his way through the rooftops, Maximos realises that he can see figures below him and the mist is burnt away from some form of fire , giving him what he wants to do as he begins weaving a gentle lullaby. Sleep takes effect next round. Target?
Ēoswulf action cannot be resolved due to movement by NPC/PC. Requires alternate action.
Ēoswulf Gērmwynson |
Not sure if you haven't edited it in yet or not, but did you resolve Ēoswulf's action?
Ēoswulf Gērmwynson |
Ēoswulf steps forward, sees Geoclunicus in the way, and stops, ready to attack the first foe that should get by Geo.
readied attack. I rolled to hit AC10 earlier, so it probably won't hit.

Dunbar will swap out his axe with his heavy crossbow and levy a shot at Halli Fosta (H), but with all of the friendlies in the way, he pulls his shot high, missing by a mile!

Geoclunicus attacks H with his dagger, then withdraws to let more of the frontliners in.

A poke with his dagger and a flash of a grin is all everyone sees as Geo scappers off to give the others a chance to close in, likely to run away from the stench burnt flesh.
Halli Fire: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Larkin Fire: 1d6 ⇒ 6
DeandreFire: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Dunbar fires off his shot too high and somewhere in the far distance you can hear someone swear.....
"Arghh Not my new wooden leg! I swear someone out there has it in for me." to the low hum of something catching fire and burning.
Ēoswulf steps forward with his sword swinging and ducks to avoid a crossbow bolt as he swings, even as the flames lick and singe his opponent to silence her forever.
Maximos release some sort of soothing dust...conserving his next spell as he gets a whiff of burnt flesh and no futher movement...........

leaving only the burnt bodies of their assailants.
The city guards soon arrive but with the help of helpful passerby, you are soon released as they lean up the mess with the promise that a report will be sent up to the Pathfinder Society later.
Ambrus Valsin greets you all warmly as you all return.
"Welcome back Pathfinders I hae had heard nothing but good reports from my sources. I trust that you have had an eventful day. Rest now and await your next assignments and once more be welcome to our ranks."
Ēoswulf Gērmwynson |
Ēoswulf looks down at the charred bodies. "What did I say?" He shakes his head.
Mike Garlington |
"Hear Ye, Hear Ye!" the crier announces in the Junior Member Ready Room at the Grand Lodge in Absalom...
"Venture Captain, Drandle Dreng, is looking for a few novices to handle a few odd jobs in and around Absalom. As you all must surely expect, expert Pathfinders will rarely entertain his errand requests. You who have only recently joined the Society are still too junior to receive your pick of missions, so Drandle Dreng wishes to put you to use while you wait for more prestigious assignments."
please "dot" in (if necessary) and make any final purchases before you answer the call of Drandle Dreng! Check your initiative score and icon on the map page and fix if incorrect... Let the Wounded Wisp begin!
Fillia Bloodstone |
She walks in timidly still unused to the city's bustle and all.
"I'll follow and see what this Mister Drandle Dreng says." the elven woman says though she looks very young even for an elf.
Fillia Bloodstone |
I think he did hence a rerolled character.
Ēoswulf Gērmwynson |
I assume Maximos will be back after this module?
Ēoswulf nods. "Indeed. Perhaps we will be able to work together on this one. I have heard that Pathfinders do not always get to work with the same companions."
Maximos Jax |
Yeah ... Maximos will be back ... I haven't had time to roll a character, so I think Max's slightly less experienced twin will be along on this one.
And, dang, the ending happened so fast Max didn't get a chance to check for spell books, can he do that?!?!
Ēoswulf Gērmwynson |
Just use a pregen.
Fillia Bloodstone |
Yup, no spellbooks.
Mike Garlington |
You have been stationed at the Grand Lodge in Absalom, awaiting assignment for a mission of utmost importance. Things finally seemed in motion when Venture-Captain Drandle Dreng sent out a summons for available agents. Specialized in the history of Absalom, Dreng is known for putting off-duty agents to work on sundry tasks when he finds them resting within the city’s limits.
Coming to the meeting place— an odd choice of venue, as
it is a street corner far from the Grand Lodge— a lone beggar garbed in baggy robes approaches. The only figure visible in the constant drizzle, the beggar sticks out his hands for currency.
“Have you any coin to spare, fine folk?”
Ēoswulf Gērmwynson |
Ēoswulf looks at the beggar and offers a friendly smile.
"If you complete a simple task for me I would be happy to pay you for it."

G'Boar Hulighan |
The question hangs in the air for only a scant moment before the figure pulls back his hood to reveal the wizened face of
Venture-Captain Drandle Dreng. He gives a crooked smile,
soaked head to toe from his unprotected time in the rain. His
clothes smell faintly of cabbage.
"“Sorry about that,” he says with a wink. “I always like
to play a little joke on agents when I stumble across them during my jaunts into town. Now, why did I summon you fine
folk here again…?” Dreng shakes his head from side to side,
as though trying to knock water out of his ears, despite the constant downpour.
“Ah yes, the Wounded Wisp! I’m undercover now and can’t
stray far from the site I’m watching, but I need someone to
retrieve a package for me from that fine establishment. It’s among Absalom’s most storied taverns, you see, and one that
holds a special place of privilege in the Society’s lore as the place
where the organization began. Well, I could drone on and on
about it, but standing out in the rain is doing none of us any favors.” As if anticipating agreement, the bedraggled venture-
captain produces a small slip of folded paper from one of his many stitched pockets. Dreng quickly shows a glimpse of the page’s contents: a map detailing the location of the Wounded Wisp Bar

Ēoswulf Gērmwynson |
Ēoswulf looks a little startled as the beggar's true identity is revealed, but he regains his composure by the time Dreng finishes speaking.
"Retrieve a package from the inn, eh? Aye, we can do that. It's there anything we need to know?"
