Overseer Tyranius |

A few items of note
1. Please make sure to read over and familiarize yourselves with the Chase rules on CRB Page 282-287. Look over the uncovered maps in the Gameplay thread (Slide 18-19). Let me know if anyone has any questions on how to run the Chase smoothly and we can talk through it.
2. Open locations will be posted in the Gameplay Thread with each change.
3. Part 1E Mission Recon #5's map in the scenario is wrong. Thurston has made note of it as said to use the Map from Part 1B Mission Recon #2. It has already been changed in the Maps.
4. In Part 1 there are mentioned to be 3 conditions but only 2 are listed. Early Success, Keep Up the Momentum, and Reconnaissance
Completed. Keep up the Momentum has been removed from the scenario.

Here I was starting on my maps and you make these beautiful works. Nice job on the maps couldn't have done a better job myself Tyranius. I like the layout ;)

Just checking. Has the scenario already been distributed to GMs? Or do you just have a copy from having GM'd this one before? I don't have a copy yet so just want to ensure I haven't fallen behind.
And I agree, the maps are nicely done!

I am looking over the Sign up sheet and sent a few PM's out to players that have not already signed into their table's thread to see if they have any objections to shifting around so we can fill each of these tables with at least 5 folks.
So there may be a small bit of moving of players here in the next couple of days. Obviously this will all be based on if they signed up to play with a specific GM or not.

![]() |

Movement is complete and all tables are now legal!. If anyone new shows up or signs up they will be moved to Redelia and Khaoz's tables. If any GM's still wish to sign up and play as well, now is the time to do so.

I've had all my GD scenarios except for this one drop. Have other folk had their special appear yet?

GM bigboom |

I'm in the same boat as GM Aerondor. All of my GD scenarios have come through except the special.

Please favorite this post as you start receiving your Special. That way we can make sure everyone got it that needs it.
Also there are a few first time play-by-post players so keep an eye out for them and help them out where needed as people are continuing to sign-up still. So double check the sign-up sheet as you are mustering your tables.

![]() |

Anyone else beside Mjolbeard not had the Scenario drop for them yet?

![]() |

Now that Gen Con is over with, hope all that went had a blast. We are a week out now. Let's work on mustering your tables if you have not done so already to make sure we help get all the players set up as there are a lot of new faces.

Overseer Tyranius |

4 days out Folks!!!!
I will post the Overseer opening roughly midnight-1 am Central time. depending how busy at work I get. This will give the Go ahead for Table Gm's to begin their space magic. :)
Keep an eye on this thread as I will be posting what locations are open and closed by the Gameplay thread here with constant updates as planet missions close.
====================================================================
Good job all on getting folks to check in. Keep it up as we need to see if any of the stragglers have dropped. I just don't want to be stuck as the game begins and find out that there is a table that only 3 players showed up.
@Mjolbeard- HMM shot out a message to Tonya regarding your scenario drop. Keep me up to date and let me know when you get it.
@Revvy- The fabulous Team Venture Venture Team has the calls in to swap your campaign thread. So hopefully real soon. Keep an eye on it and let me know. :)

GM Mjolbeard |

I'm still looking out for the scenario, but haven't received it yet. I'll keep you posted!

Overseer Tyranius |

Aid Tokens: 5d15 ⇒ (1, 7, 14, 9, 3) = 34
- Bigboom
- Cwethan
- Hmm
- Our Mysterious Benefactor
- Skeemo
Each of the above tables begins with the Aid Token.I have the effects and table listed in the link at the top of the page. GM's keep an eye out there for if you table has a token. Keep your players aware that they have it and what effects they can use as well. If you don't plan on using it your fight please pass it along to another table that can.
Keep these tokens constantly moving. They can be used once per encounter!

GM bigboom |

Once used or passed on, do we tell you, Tyranius, and you'll determine who receives it next?

![]() |

No need. Just pass it along to a table that currently does not have one and make a post letting them know.

GM bigboom |

I believe we'll do that on the aid tokens sheet.
After my table has used or boosted a token, I'll note the boost on that sheet then pass it down to the next table below my name that doesn't already have a token. Then throw a post up in gameplay to let that GM know I've passed it on to them.
For example, say my table boosted allied offensive successfully. According to the aid tokens sheet, the next table below me without a token is GM Blake. I'll remove the token from my name, put it on GM Blake's row, and in the boost section, I'll type in 'Allied Offensive.' Then I'll post in gameplay that GM Blake now has a token.
Does this sound OK?

Overseer Tyranius |

Yup, GM's can track all of that on the Aid Token spreadsheet.
GM Bogboom has it correct. Though make a post in the GM's game or discussion thread that you are passing it to. As long as their table is aware that they have it. Try to keep this gameplay thread clear for any messages and opening / closing of areas.

GM bigboom |

Oh gotcha... Posting in the GM's actual table threads makes more sense.

However, unless it has been updated today, there wasn't a clear way to show boosts, since there are more than one option, and more than one boost can be on an aid token.
oh, well, I'll see how it goes.

Just wanted to check in to say that the scenario finally dropped in my downloads, so I'm here to help out if anyone needs support!

![]() |

@Tyranius: Should we inform players of R-TEP as well? I may drop the sidebar in Discussion if so.
Yes, they need to be aware of this as an option.

Awesome!
However, unless it has been updated today, there wasn't a clear way to show boosts, since there are more than one option, and more than one boost can be on an aid token.
There is a boosted column to write which effect is boosted. The GM should move that along to the table that they pass the aid token to. I have wrap text set up on that column so if it ends up getting several boosts you should be good to go.

Also your players can prepare with more than one leader if they wish or have the time during the preparation. They can each only attempt a single check with each one though.
Get as many buffs as you can!

Overseer Tyranius |

It all goes towards the group as a whole.
(Page 6)
The group receives the rewards that correspond to the check result and the applicable results of any lower DCs
These rewards apply to the group, and the group must agree to use the bonus before a PC can gain the benefits.
*****
To give a couple of examples. The group can either split all off and hope to complete as many individually. More than likely get easy reward on each of the tasks or they can stay in small groups and aid another on a few for a more guaranteed success and and the better rewards.
If in a group the easiest way for PbP is take the highest roll, or person with the highest modifier and the rest are aid another attempts for that group.

GM Hmm |

Aid token boosted and sent to GM Poblano’s table.

May they aid another cross-skill where one person rolls computers and another engineering?

That's what I was thinking, but I don't know if it's allowed in this case.

![]() |

I think that since it did not call that method of rolling out, it is expected that we do the one person rolls, the others aid explicitly.
As long as folks have their statblocks posted, most players will figure out the "best" roller. Part of the reason I have them macro out all of their skills. They can definitely see what everyone's bonuses are that way!

Overseer Tyranius |

Exactly as Silbeg said. I have seen both ways done for PbP and am just given suggestions or options that help speed up PbP a tad bit. Otherwise some tables will spend the two days and not complete a single skill check, due to introductions / boon slotting, ect.
May they aid another cross-skill where one person rolls computers and another engineering?
(Page 6) The PCs can attempt the checks individually, or they can use the aid another action, provided that the PCs are using the same skill.
If any tables have done differently up to this point no need to go back and retcon just continue per the book for the future :)
Is there something else players can do after they do all the preparation missions? My group has already succeeded at the last one, I'm just giving them a bit more time before I say anything so everyone can participate.
Hang-out, role-play some purchases or a few other skill checks that will have no rewards or penalties in the meantime. Just something to keep occupied and have fun. Some tables will move faster than others in this case. Some are just starting their first checks.

Overseer Tyranius |

Awesome. A few speedy tables! Keep up that momentum.
As your tables clear the areas please update the Successes spreadsheet provided in the link above by placing an X in the block completed.
*****
Some things to keep in mind looking at the big picture of this as a GM. We have 10 days to complete as much of Part 1 as possible
1. Part 1 locations will only close and open up it's second location in Part 2 if 10 tables complete that Recon Mission.
2. In the unlikely event that we don't close a single one in the 10 days of Part 1 then the highest recon mission will close opening up its counter location in Part 2.
So unlock as many as possible as you can in the 10 days. Some of the slower tables may need to up the post rate just a small bit and some of the faster tables may need to pace adjust themselves a bit otherwise you may find your self in Part 2 with only a couple available missions until some of the others are unlocked. And completing them all too fast may result in a good few days of downtime. Especially Part 3 as it is also 10 days with a single mission. As Part 1 is supposed to rollover into Part 2 and Part 2 rolls over into Part 3. For the extremely fast tables completing 4 of the missions in each part (1-3) should leave you in a pretty sweet spot with minimal downtime.
GM's keep an eye on the success chart as your players transition areas. If there are 10 or more successes within that area and you haven't seen a post from me closing it yet, then I am probably getting my 5 hours of sleep for the night (GMT +3), Consider it closed and move on to another open location and I will post the closing first thing in the morning.
Hopefully that makes sense to everyone or at least those that have read through the scenario a couple times.

Spacefarer Redelia |

One of my players wants to put remove affliction on an aid token. He's thinking that the lower level tables can't cast it themselves, so wants to make that available to them. Anyway, if any of you are about to pass on an aid token, if you send it to my table, the player is prepared to boost in that way.

Please pass along to your players that due to the website maintenance and outages they will not lose any time on the Special. We understand that it is a timed even and set aside a small space for wiggle room. I will be extending Part 1 out by the day that we lost. Part 2 will now begin on 26 August 2018.*
*Subject to change based on any more outages.
