Republic army light armor (KOTOR pg 179), blaster rifle, utility belt, short sword.
The troopers load the cargo on the bounty hunter's ship. Although desperately in need of cleaning, the ship looks well-maintained, and Trevan directs the troopers to store the slab in the smuggling compartments. They comply, and seek out a small communal bunk room to sleep in for the journey.
Kordin III |
I'm just thinking in time period, wouldn't that be a slightly larger dynamic class freighter? I don't mind the YT series, but the look of the dynamic class is something I enjoy along with the extra customization options available. The Ghtroc 720 also has a special place in my heart as it has a really spacious interior.
Kordin III |
Yeah, the YT series were all about making ships out of effectively the same parts, which is why the YT series all have a similar shape, personally I'm a fan of the 2400. The Dynamic Class Freighter is the same type as the Ebon Hawk from KotOR which is actually set in the Old Republic.
Iliquoi |
DM, does Star Wars have drugs that keep people loopy so that I can experminent on them?
Iliquoi |
I am just thinking it might be a way to practice until he grows in strength and ability in the Force.
Koro Tass |
Koro stomps up the ramp into the smuggler's ship, lip curling at the grime and dirt.
She shepherds the carbonite slab as it's laid into one of the smuggling compartments, then orders the troopers, "One of you has eyes on this compartment at all times"
She retreats to the cockpit, where she contacts Command and Control, "This is Koro Tass, Apprentice to Lord Kyrak. We are embarking in the captured smuggler's vessel, the Renegade, appraise our fighters of our presense aboard. Have some of them make a few harmless attack passes before we hit hyperspace, so the enemy does not suspect. Tass, out."
She turns to Korbin, handing her the code cynlinder. "This has the coordinates of our destination and the codes that will allow us to land in Lord Kyrak's personal hangar. "
She then sits in the co-pilot's chair to observe...
Kordin III |
Kordin had already ducked into the Renegade and was prepping the ship for launch in the pilot's chair. While she was waiting for the engines to warm up she looked over Zilas' blaster that she had placed on the dash. When the sith sits down, the Mandalorian quizzically looks over to Koro.
"Umm, ma'am do you have any idea how to fly a ship? Or what any of those dials and screens in front of you say? I mean, yeah anybody with half a brain can fly a ship, but flying a ship well is a different story. Actually does anybody else know what these things will mean? If so I'd like that person to sit in the co-pilot's chair."
Venaris Cole |
"While you try to figure out who gets to drive and who gets to ride shotgun -not me, by the way-, I think I will go ahead and run a quick systems and engines check," Venaris quips as he takes a seat behind a control panel. "We would not want to get blown up because our ex-associate was stingy and did not take care of maintaining his ship."
"Add to that a bit of astrogation and I will have my hands full," he continues as he looks at the Sith and troopers aborad. "If any of you can lend a hand -I only have two, after all- do not be shy. Please do."
Iliquoi seems to have the Pilot skill trained.
Trevan Darksome |
"This ship has weapons yes? I will be of more use there"
Iliquoi |
I would recommend running a diagnostic on the ship so that we know what capabilities we have as of now.
Koro Tass |
Koro frowns , then looks over the banks of buttons and switches before her, then nods.
"I will bow before your greater knowledge of such things." she murmurs, then takes a seat in one of the chairs in the back of the cockpit.
Iliquoi |
The miraluka is going to hungrily await playing with the trooper's mind.
GM Phntm888 |
Everything looks good with the engines. You calculate a course to Dromund Kaas using the code cylinder Lord Kyrak gave Koro, and find it surprisingly easy.
Koro notifies the bridge of their success in acquiting Zilas's ship, which is received with a crisp acknowledgement. As Kordin smoothly lifts the ship off the landing pad and out of the docking bay, Koro, Trevan, and, to a lesser extent, Iliquoi, feel Lord Kyrak reach out through the Force, projecting a strong sense of approval at their actions.
They fly through the chaos of the battlefield as Sith fighter battles Republic and capital ships bombard each other with turbolasers. Despite being outnumbered, the Inexorable seems to be getting the better of the Republic ships. As you watch, one of the Thranta-class cruisers breaks in half under the Sith battlecruiser's sustained fire.
A group of Sith fighters makes an attack run targeting you, their shots just barely missing, before being chased off by Republic fighters. The Republic otherwise ignores you, and you clear the battlefield to jump to hyperspace and the Imperial capital of Dromund Kaas.
Trevan Darksome |
Once the ship clears the battle raging around them Trevan will head to the cockpit.
"Well done mercenary. The faster we arrive at our destination the faster you shall receive payment. The bonus being that this ship is of course, now yours. I will give that cur credit, he did jettison the homing device prior to the rendezvous, quite clever really. Alas, he shall do nothing else ever again".
That said Trevan leaves the cockpit and searches the ship for a meal and a drink.
Kordin III |
The Mandalorian's grip on the handles loosens up a bit as the scenery changes. She leans back in her chair and laughs with relief.
"Downside of this ship now being ours. Somebody will have to go down to some government like building, and achieve some kind of permit now that the rightful owner and former captain has perished. Do you know how long the lines are over there? It takes like two minutes to register our names to this ship, but all the tape and lines and ugh."
Kordin sets the autopilot so she can stand up and stretch a bit.
"Well, maybe I can go and do some shopping, trade in these lightsabers for some better armor. Maybe call home, I haven't done that in a while. How about you Ven? Any plans on how to spend some scratch? I'll put half of my earnings towards some upgrades, maintenance, and a new paint job. I'm thinking something in purple."
Koro Tass |
Koro sits in the now empty cockpit, watching the streaming lights of hyperspace flow past the windows.
Folding her legs beneath her, Koro breaths deeply then allows her eyes to close, her perceptions deepening, her awareness more keen.
Force Trance, +1 hp/ hour
DM, let me know how many hours it takes to arrive in Drommund Kaas
Venaris Cole |
"Not really sure," Venaris answers his friend and associate with a shrug, his eyes on the screen in front him as he finishes his systems check. "Maybe some gadget will catch my eye. Perhaps a more sophisticated datapad. I will have to do some window shopping, I guess."
"Other than that though, putting some credits into sprucing up the ship is not a bad idea at all."
GM Phntm888 |
After 2 days of travel, you finally come out of hyperspace at Dromund Kaas. Surrounding it are several Sith Battlecruisers and a couple of orbital defense platforms. A patrol of fighters forms up around you - both as an escort and as a guard. Although you can't see them, you also get the feeling several turbolasers are now pointing at you. A landing beacon appears on the console, indicating Lord Kyrak's personal landing bay - you hope.
Iliquoi |
During that time the miraluka will practice reading thoughts and trying to alter them on the trooper
Koro Tass |
Koro looks out the cockpit windows at the assembled defenses, "Welcome to Dromund Kaas. These codes must have worked, else we'd be space junk by now." she says dryly, then points, "There's our landing bay." she says to Korbin.
Trevan Darksome |
Trevan sense the ship come out of hyperspace and heads to the Troopers in their quarters, "Come, time to prepare our prize for transfer".
Kordin III |
Over the past two days Kordin had finished off the open bottle of liquor in her quarters. She had claimed Zilas' room for herself. If she was going to pilot it, she was going to fly in style.
Kordin takes the ship in, still wary of her surroundings and the various Empire ships. The blaster was still on the dash, the Mandalorian could be seen staring at it sometimes.
"Make sure you don't damage the smuggling compartment. Now landings the tricky part. But we should be fine with this much space. Hey Ven, once we get payed let's stop by some government like buildings, get this thing listed to our names, and do some window shopping. Although I think there's a Mandalorian Enclave here, so I might do some trading and look for some jobs."
I take 10 on the pilot check for a total of 17, if I have a copilot that can aid other that will give me a 19. Also, what would the equivalent of a DMV be on Dromund Kaas? Namewise, Department of Travel, Bureau of Independent Ship Owners?
Iliquoi |
I am experimenting on thr trooper but since he is captive I can do it when I please.
Trevan Darksome |
Anybody else have any plans before we land?
Nope just securing the prize.
GM Phntm888 |
Well, since no one is assisting Kordin...
The turbulence of Dromund Kaas's constant storms batter the ship, as lightning strikes around and at the ship.
Lightning damage (ignores shields and DR): 2d10 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7
Finally emerging into an area where the storm is funneled to lightning spires, you fly into Kaas City. The Black Temple looms in the distance, and the Imperial Citadel stands tall, a testament to the might of the Sith. You land in a docking bay on the Western side of the city, attached to a villa styled as a fortress. Outside the ship is a human in a high-collared black coat and black trousers, with a silver protocol droid.
Kordin III |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Kordin tries to adjust her controls a bit, and since nobody told her there would be lightning involved she was ill prepared for it. She'd never been to Dromund Kaas, so to her it wasn't her fault.
"Ven, can we buy one of those astromech droids with the money we spend? I'd say it's worth it if we can teach it to help me pilot this thing. Now, who's bright idea was it to not warn me about the lightning?!? I've never been to this planet, and I never planned on going to this planet anytime soon."
Upon landing the woman tries to help Ven make sure nothing was damaged. After a systems check she stands near the exit to see if the sith had any dealings of their own mysterious nature. She was also waiting instructions that would allow her to leave the ship and not be riddled with blaster fire. She knew there was one person outside, but had no idea how many could be hiding in the shadows nearby.
Trevan Darksome |
Trevan steps off of the ship keeping the Soldiers with the cargo at the top of the loading bay until his brethren and the bounty hunters are able to arrive.
Trevan nods to the man, "We are here to deliver cargo for Lord Kyrak. I trust that you have been expecting us?"
GM Phntm888 |
"I have been told nothing of cargo. When a ship broadcasting Lord Kyrak's personal landing signal comes in to land, I typically think it best to meet the new arrival."
With a short bow, he says, "I am Hessin, Lord Kyrak's seneschal. I run the household. This is my assistant, K1-C7. And you must be one of Lord Kyrak's new apprentices...Trevan Darksome, yes?"
Venaris Cole |
"Well, it is not a bad idea," Venaris says regarding Kordin's suggestion about getting a droid, all the while standing beside the woman and waiting to see what the welcoming committee has in store for them. "I could use a little helper as well, especially if we get hired by Sith again."
He shrugs. "If we end up sharing a ship with them again, I would at least need one more... individual who knew the difference between a circuit board and a sandwich."
"They are a bit on the expensive side though, I think" he adds in the end.
Trevan Darksome |
Trevan's eyes narrow, "Greetings Seneschal Hessin. You have the right of it, I am Trevan Darksome. The others who have journeyed with me are on board. Perhaps when they disembark we can ascertain our next step".
GM Phntm888 |
Of course, Imperial Intelligence would likely have a good supply - if you could ingratiate yourself with them somehow.
Koro Tass |
Koro watches as Korbin deftly maneuvers the ship down through Drommund Kaas' volatile atmosphere.
As the ship settles on the launch pad, she stands and states, "Good flying, bounty hunter." then turns in a swirl of robes and leaves for the gangplank.
She reaches the bottom as Trevan addresses the Seneschal, "I am Koro Tass, apprentice to Lord Kyrak. " she says, as Trevan finishes, "I believe our next step would be to contact our Lord's liason with Imperial Intelligence. We lost our own on Lord Kyrak's flagship....flighty bunch these Intelligence types. "
Iliquoi |
The miraluka will make sure that his plaything is properly incarcerated before he disembarks from the ship.
Kordin III |
Kordin steps in front of the Miralukan before he disembarks.
"Whoa whoa whoa, where is your plaything? I am not a babysitter, get your little experiment off of our ship. I'm not taking chances that he could be some crazy specially trained trooper or just some schmuck that signed up."
She turns to look back at the others.
"Does this guy have our payment? We do need to make a couple of repairs after getting hit with lightning."
