Sense Force - Automatically sense disturbances in the Force. Location strong in the dark Side can be sensed as far a 1 kilometer. Full round action actively sense other Force users up to 100 kilometers including how many, approximate distance, direction and if I have met them. They can conceal their presence by making an opposed check, if they equal or exceed my check cannot detect them at all. Can choose to detect Dark Side users only if specified.

Detailed Background:

Trevan Darksome was born on the planet Begeren in the year _____ several years before the end of the Great Galactic War. The child of slaves whose ancestors built the great Sith Monuments erected in the honor of the greatest of the Orders Alchemists.

Life as a slave was difficult for Trevan but it was all he knew. As a young teen his strength seemed to be developing at an amazing rate and he was physically imposing, jealously by a few of the older children at his good looks subjected him to an attack by these teens. Broken and bloodied he crawled in the dark of night to one of the monuments which so long towered over his people.

Whether by fate or by the natural affinity already in his blood, the Dark side of the Force responded to his rage and humiliation. Trevan did not die and instead fled the slave campground and nursed himself to health on the outskirts of the village. Scout. His great strength seemed to be lost with the damage done to his shoulders and arms but the Force granted him a dexterity which may or may not have developed of its own volition.

In the dead of night some months later, Trevan returned to the village with a crude knife made from stones which had fallen off of the monument. His rage knew no bounds as he murdered not only the boys who attacked him but their family members as well. The village elders found him sitting blood covered in the common areas when the sun rose calmly eating his breakfast.
No knowing what to do about the dangerous young man, the Elders called upon the officials of a larger city to come and take him away and to try him for his crimes.

As Trevan was led to a facility to await his fate the Dark Side of the Force once again intervened. The Sith Battlecruiser Inexorable, was docked in orbit and Lord Kyrak was seeking recruits to bolster his crew to continue the war against the hated Republic. Even with the death of those who wronged him, the hatred of Trevan was not sated, it was this hatred that Lord Kryat sensed and what led him to interview and recruit young Trevan not as a slave soldier, or prisoner but as a Sith warrior.

First though, Kyrak sent Trevan with the Sith Army to learn the arts of deception. Kyrak believed that Trevan could serve as more than just another blade, his knack for an expanded array of abilities would be cultivated. Once ready and his basic Sith training was complete, Lord Kyrak sent him on a mission, his first true mission, to retrieve the body of a captured Republic General. Before the transfer could take place a small Jedi rescue team boarded the ship to recover their General, both padawan learners fell to the red blade of Trevan.

As an agent for Lord Kyrak Trevan uncovered a plot by the Jedi to rescue one of their captured generals who had been brought back to a Sith stronghold world. Indeed a Sith Lord stole the carbonite frozen Jedi to make his Master seem incompetent and force him off of the Sith Council. Trevan was charged (along with his allies) to retrieve the Jedi General before he could be returned to the sectors of space that the Republic controlled. Trevan and his allies tracked the body to a remote set of ruins .

Before the body could be recovered, the ship in which the body was held raced off of the Sith stronghold world piloted by Jedi spies! A battle on the Sith cruiser resulted in the Sith cruiser crashing to a planet in the mid-rim. Trevan managed to apprehend the Jedi General’s body at the cost of all of his allies and to his great joy the death of yet two more padawan learners and a Jedi Knight! To his misfortune though the Jedi sent a distress call which was received by their Republic forces and Trevan was captured by his hated foes. The body of the General and his secrets, falling back onto the hands of the Republic and its Jedi allies.

Instead of slaying him, Jedi Master Lynne Matsura delved into the mind of the young Sith and discovered the source of his pain. Instead of redirecting it she aided in healing it, turning Trevan from the Dark Side. Something she had long argued to the Jedi Council was possible.

Trevan trained with his new Master Lynne Matsura who aided in purging from the hateful young man the poison instilled in him by a terrible upbringing and Sith training. To acknowledge his new start on life he renamed himself Hugo Lightbringer.

Questions: (1) Hugo/Trevan has created a large network to gather information in Republic space. Still though, many in Sith space may well remember Trevan Darksome…

Tarkes Ree – Corporate Beauracrat – Specializes in finances and intergalactic trading – Assists Trevan who does “wetwork” for him.

Lord Tenth – Republic Senator – Ally of Jedi Master Matsura – Assits Hugo because of his relationship with Trevan’s Master though he does not entirely trust the former Sith
Naath Snaug – Republic Engineer – A member of the Army who specializes in creating and building weaponry – Assist Hugo who feeds him Sith tech schematics when possible
Myrddin Viligoth (F) – Coruscant Smuggler – Specializes in smuggling illicit goods to and from core worlds – Assits Hugo because she believes it is wise to have a “Jedi” ally
Bartolus Darbee – Republic Ranger – Specializes in training soldiers for all purpose terrain performances – Assists Hugo because he appreciate Trevan’s Scouting skills and how they dovetail with his Jedi training.
Tengal Drakkimor – Republic Cantina Owner on an outpost at the edge of the Core – Specializes in hearing a lot and saying very little – Assists Hugo because they have developed a relationship due to Hugo’s aid and the amount of travel Hugo has done through the sector

Question (2): Who knows Trevan? The Sith Council is aware that Trevan failed his last mission if they knew him to be alive and turned to be a Jedi they would no doubt wish to kill the former Apprentice. Sith Enemy.

Who knows Hugo? The Jedi Council knows of Hugo because they do not approve of the tactics his Master has used in bringing him into the fold. So far Hugo has proven them wrong but isn’t it a matter of time before he slips back to the Dark Side? Trevan slew a number of padawan learners, one Jedi Knight Katop Trakkost had Trevan kill two of his padawan learners. He would dearly like to slay Hugo but holds himself back for obvious reasons… for now content to wait for the man to slip up and the council to dispatch him to dispatch “Hugo”. Jedi Enemy.

Question (3): Master Lynne Matsura pressed for the selection of “Hugo” for a number of reasons.
(1) Hugo was a Sith so he knows how to interact with them and their subordinates in a way that no spy could ever understand.

(2) Hugo is an extremely talented Lightsaber combatant, someone who can deal with multiple foes based on that training and take a hit and keep coming at you again and again. Outnumbered on a foreign hostile planet, it will be needed.

(3) Hugo has a Talent for creating Illusions something that an infiltration team would likely find invaluable especially when the breakout takes place the detention block area will need to "appear" normal.

(4) He has other abilities that those raised in the Jedi Temple do not have having served as a Scout and Spacer before being trained by the Sith and the Jedi. These skills make him unique among the Jedi.

(5) Hugo does possess some contacts in Sith space can aid in an extraction by unconventional means if the ship that the team goes in on is compromised.

(6) Finally, the man must be tested in the field to ascertain whether he is ready to become a Jedi Knight and this mission will allow him to shine and to prove to the Jedi Council where his loyalties lay.
