@ Sorala: The way the foraging parties work is they make one roll at +2 for each person in the group. I add a -9 modifier (because you don't get any food with a roll less than 10) and a -1/day that the area has been foraged in (currently at -13) and divide the result by 2 for the number of food/days that are gathered. You can certainly use your roll to add a +1 food to one of the foraging groups, or you can look independently.

Day 20

Vallen spends most of the day happily working on their blacksmithing operation, working with hammer and chisel to carve out the actual forge itself from a nearby boulder they rolled into place.

While he's working, the dwarf talks to Septimus about how a cleric needs to devote themselves fully. Paladins have oaths to keep them in line, but clerics are given more freedom, and that freedom is a test. Worship at every opportunity, even in the most seemingly mundane way. He demonstrates that through his carvings, which he shows Septimus the plans for. The stone furance will be inlaid with dwarven runes that praise Torag in the furnance itself, imparting blessings on the flames.

Perhaps it is the pall over Newspring at Ben's death, or Sorala's obviously distressed state, but little business is conducted today. The half-elf does take a little joy from the tilling of Newspring's first garden.

Vallen is in a particularly depressed mood, but spends the entire day working on the forge. He and Septimus have a long, topical conversation on the nature of death, the afterlife, and what it means to each to deity.

The dwarf wishes he could carve a statue of Ben to give to Gwen, as is his custom, but the rumbling of his stomach reminds him that he must keep working to provide for the people of Newspring.

Did we all just give some of our goods and labor to the community pot a few days in? I can't recall, but I remember our original group had a lot of capital that was goods, and a few labor as well. I remember at one point saying Cueta's goods could be used for whatever, at any rate, but I don't know if they were moved from her line item to "community" or not.

If we can't suss it out, I think we should probably just let it go, and assume that it has been used by the community for something.

Yes sir! According to the records, on July 24th at 8:42 pacific time someone changed our number of group Goods from 31 to 26. Sorala's Labor dropped from 2 to 0 and she gained 1.1gp, and Gair's labor value went from 3 to 1. This corresponds with the 5 goods and 4 labor needed to build a Garden. Someone forgot to update the Group value. *Stares at Cueta*

We currently have 26 goods and 1 labor. All of our other labor went to the forge, it was a large project. I have updated the spreadsheet and added a function that will automatically calculate our total capital. When you gain/lose capital, subtract it from your amount or other's amounts who are chipping in. At this point I believe we're all chipping in equally. I added rows for our new sacrifices I mean friends.

Wow, awesome Vallen! I apologize about not updating the group total - I didn't realize that line was the total of our group. I thought it was the Newspring community total.
