What equip and dress should my char start with ? i had 1000 credit right?

Yes, you can buy from the PDFs tables. You have uniforms (provided by the Navy, officers have to buy their own dress uniforms, but you can assume you have two if you are an officer).

Beyond that, while you're in the navy, you are assigned equipment. Those that can afford it, buy better. You were rather unlucky in your cash out roll, so really you're scraping by.

Basically, at this point, you have most of your stuff supplied for you, so the credits are mostly things you'd like to have.

So got an idea, kind of fixes a psi feat thing that's been bugging me, and let's me do something I hope in game that's cool.

Everyone's using the same stat arrays, the ones I rolled up above, so no need to roll your own. That way everyone is about the same stat wise.

Depends on your background. If you're a Lisandran Belter, yes. Even if you don't take belter class. Or if you're a former Telthani Ranger.

If you're a Mylthani, no, they don't do that sort of thing normally and would need special (read class) training in it.

Can I say he grew up in a rural lower tech area of the planet and take Survival as a background/trait skill? maybe on an old forest preserve/tree farm but joined the rangers then the Navy to see the stars? Maybe I was a front line troops doing Survey reconnaissance/security. I wanted to take vessel (star ship) and ships boat and weapon proficiency (combat marksman as feats)

If all this sounds ok?
