As long as the spell is on your spell list you can use a wand. Which is really cool. Also if anyone is worried about min/maxing, Cyra was going to take a 4 levels of Ranger it just happened I found out about the wand thing after.

Since Damian is pretty OP in this particular setting, how would you feel about me toning him down a little, as a Cavalier 5/Bard 1/Battle Herald 1? Won't hit quite so hard, and gives a lot more for him to do than CHAAAAARGE.

That'd be cool. I honestly don't mind the massive hit/damage bit -- I take it as a cool challenge to come up with more badass foes. Granted I've failed utterly in that regard thus far, but still.

But so but yeah; if you want to tweak the build that way to also give yourself more room to stretch out into the character, go for it!

BTW Yesterday was my girlfriend's birthday (observed) and she and I spent it hanging out. Updates for y'all coming today. :-)

For your perusal. He hits less hard, but can use bardic performance and inspiring command to push his allies more. He can use his spells to help allies re-roll things from time to time. Lower AC because I put him in a chain shirt rather than platemail. (He really needs a mithril breastplate.)

I tweaked the skills around a lot, if you don't mind. Battle Herald requires 5 ranks in Diplomacy and Perform Oratory, even though Versatile Performance (choosing Oratory) will make those 5 ranks in Diplomacy useless. If you aren't fine with that, I'll try to see if I can change him to Cav 4/Bard 1/BH 2.

I'm fine with it, but I was also fine with Damian "star crusher" Lamorak. Though I do like that this version would allow inspire courage always a pleasant plus.


This surprises me; I think I like the Bard 2 version better (v.1), but I'm fine with either -- I think it'll be a fun change and addition. For the current combat I'm using your old build, but just let me know which one you choose in the end.

Thats looks and sounds like it will be a very neat change, but don't change yourself on account of the damage you were dealing =), its good to see a frontliner annihilate something instead of a wizard lol. xD But either way Star Crusher its gonna be a fun RP =)

If i'm correct the 'Sun Crusher' that I know of comes from Star Wars and was a superweapon. It also comes from Magic the gathering (fifth edition and was a ..... construct with removable counters as well). Yes i'm a oil field working nerd~ =)

lol I was a star wars fan(atic) at one time and I had a buddy who was obsessed with that name. xD Thats why I remember, most of his Star Wars characters had 'something' crusher in them -.-; he was a silly bastage.

But I was expecting to get burned for playing a Gungan! xD

It drove my buddies nuts when I could speak like Jar Jar (Not like that is super impressive ^^;) and when I became a jedi they nearly they nearly rioted, it was great! But our Dm required us to be able to sound and act the part of the races we chose. So we had a Wookie, a Gungan and a Jawa's in the party. It was hilarious times believe me, mainly because the three of us were the hardest to understand in the entire group. =)

Hey Mai, since I'm playing a player with low Str and so weak melee damage, I couldn't help but notice Mai's +7 damage with his elven thinblade. How does that work with 13 Str? I'm not familiar with that weapon so have no idea it's benefits.

Ah! And just now realized that the Vanguard is Paizo's version of the Duskblade (one of my fav classes!)

It is a unique Pathfinder game with a few interesting house rules. It is low level and low-magic for now. Players are HUMAN only - elves and dwarves are the enemy! It is a battle for survival or rather a fight to prevent extinction as a race.

The game is open to join. We are assigning new players to the new adventures now.

If you wouldn't mind, after his watch and rest, Damian will shift to Cavalier 4 / Bard 1 / Battle Herald 2. I'd appreciate some sort of dream or revelation to explain why he has some smattering of arcane casting, as well as why his armor is a +1 mithril chain shirt instead of +1 full plate. (Unless you don't want his armor to change.)
