Does anyone else hate being an adult some times?
Whenever my daughter tells me she wants to be "big" I remember saying it as a kid and ruing the day now!

You don't know what you have till it's gone

If ever... I just joined a campaign, which takes place in the wonderful realm of Krynn. We haven't even really started, and players have already disappeared. I have no idea if the campaign will prove successful, but we're looking for people to at least give it a chance!
Krynn brings me back to way back when...

My idea was that by paying homage and then visiting with the Bishop that might provide us with a contact to ease our way to meeting with the King. Of course the busiest weekend I've had in weeks if not months is when every game I am a PC in decide to blow up!
Regardless, checking in now!

Man! I had to post from my phone and junk and I hate doing That, but I know I'd lose my train if I didn't. Also I totally blame you for having to actually sit down and figure out how to do that with the minimum about of blood shed!

I am reluctant to bring gold coins into the equation... And 50 gp wouldn't have been enough anyway. From what I can tell, a slave would have cost about the same as a riding horse in Northern Europe.
That, and I like the idea of gestures such as these, which are important, being enhanced by sacrifice. Even if 50 coins is a huge sum, it costs Aoife very little to part with it, whereas bartering her horse means that she will have to deal with not having a horse for a little while at least. Does that make sense?
Apologies if I wasn't clear about the role of coins in the campaign. In time, there will likely be some. But not yet.
Bear in mind that you each have a "priceless" item. But I wouldn't part with it, if I were you!
Aoife FitzStephen
Oh I was going with the prices pathfinder had. Horses are 75 for a light and 200 for a heavy.
Aoife believed her mother set this coin aside, no idea where she got it from, to buy her and Aoife's freedom but died before she could. Before it was worth more to Aoife than its actual worth. Yet after her father stated he wouldn't let her go, and through the story she wouldn't want to leave right now, the coin has lost much of its original value to her.
I just had nothing more to spend it on. With the alterations made for the time and story reasons, I ran out of things to buy so I made the left over coin part of the story.
You can't have my cloak!

Just so you know: once you've all agreed on a plan of action, I will likely describe the upcoming journeys in a single post. I'll roll a good/bad luck check along with a few others, but if all goes well you'll all make your way to your destination... Basically, I want to get to the point, now that you've travelled to Armagh once and that you know the way.

Quick questions on the time line. We left a day before Kass, Thorun, and Ó'Máille did yes? Then lost a day because we got lost taking the other way, so we arrived in Turiam the same day Kass, Thorun, Ó'Máille, and the bard made it to Boho. Do I have that correct?
Amergin the Wise
I won't be posting for a a few days – likely not until the 27th or the 28th – so let me take the time to wish you and your loved ones happy holidays!
Also, as I often do: given that everyone is presently in Tuaim, this would be a good time to speak up if you feel that this campaign isn't for you. If you would like for your character to step away, no worries!
That being said, let me reassure you: battles will come. The last good fight was a long time ago!
Brother Ó Máille
Happy Holidays, all! I apologize for my lack of posting as of late. I would still like to continue :)
Amergin the Wise
I assumed as much!
Note that I just updated the Kingdoms of Ireland in the Campaign tab. In the Breifne and Airgialla spoilers, you will now find the names of the kings that matter insofar as you are concerned.
I will be posting a synopsis of the events in Armagh, along with a useful list of NPCs...
Kassidy O'Kennedy
No worries DM, my posting has been spotty as of late for various reasons, likely by February/March when the whole Holidays/Divorce thing is done my spottiness will be a thing of the past :-)
Kassidy O'Kennedy
No, I will update now and try to get my posts in more frequently, feel free to BOT me as needed if I am slowing things down. Just wanted to clarify that my lack of posting is due to RL issues and not lack of interest in the game.
Amergin the Wise
I totally understand RL...
My question about involvement is not in the least meant to act as a sly statement about posting. Rather, it is something that I have decided to do routinely in order to avoid untimely loss of players. Also, it's an occasion for players to give feedback. For example: a good fight would be nice! Or: we are disoriented and need more information! Or: the story is moving too slowly for my taste!
:)

Understood. I am good with how the game is progressing no worries on that front.

Sorry, it has been a crazy few days before sticking the family on the plane to the in-laws.
Very much still interested in the campaign, who wouldn't be really.
Kassidy, I hope everything sorts itself out quickly and in the best way possible. Divorce is never a pleasant thing.
Have a very merry Christmas everyone and a great 2018. I look forward to seeing where we are this time next year.
Ruadhán Ó'Brolacháin
Apologies, on holiday and internet has proved more problematic than I expected. Back on the 12th.
Storyteller Shadow
Welcome back! Hope you're feeling better!
I'm not but been away too long :-)
Thorun Madsen
I am still here and reading along with quite a deal of interest, great roleplaying! Thorun is just shadowing and listening in quietly.
