I don't mean to be a stickler but I also don't like being corrected in the character thread. If I referred to the man as a priest, I would have capitalized Father. Because the man is old, I have him the honorific of father as in fatherly, elder, senior. Not sure why people love to correct me. I do my research before I open my mouth. It would be nice if others had the same courtesy.
And Padraic, it's assumed we are all speaking Gaelic or Middle Irish even though the thread is in English. If you're going to write that way, please provide a translation. Thanks.
As far as Braedan is concerned, he did come from another place since he's not a druid and doesn't normally inhabit a Druid's grove. However, I do see how the Druid would assume that.
Wait, you don't like being corrected IC? That is all Braedan does IC is correct us and tell us how to fight, how to stand and how to act. You may not like it but it is the right of the player to have their character speak however they wish.

I am sorry if our characters could not see the punctualisation in your voice, when you spoke the word father. This is the part you brought up in your comment, has nothing to do with Metagaming.
Also St Patrick being Welsh would have been widely known. Padraic bears his name and would know a lot about St Patrick, due to being raised by the village priest. So it being Metagaming is questionable at best.
Okay, I have never come across someone calling an elder father if they are not a priest or their actual father. This may be a cultural difference, I don't know. So when you said father, the only thing I had to go on was what I personally know. Since Aoife knew this guy wasn't Braedan actual father, I would only fall back on the religious use of the word. As for the fact it wasn't capitalize, people miss stuff some times. We're human. It really wouldn't have changed how I saw it save maybe drive home the point it was the religious use of the word.
Tell you what. It seems that trying to help this party work as a team hasn't helped. I never told anyone what to do nor corrected them. I only tried to point out a different way. A way to work better and it seems folks have taken offense at that. I've played my character to the best of my ability but it doesn't look like its going to work out. I don't like being in a game where there is tension. I have enough of that in real life. Take care.

Firstly, I’m going to be posting different versions of this in different games that I’m in, but I want to make sure that it’s known why I’ve been absent for roughly a week - from the whole forum, not just this thread. And it goes like this:
1.So, as I probably posted previously, my computer decided to go berserk and I needed to reformat it.
2. It then decided that a day or two later would be a great time to die altogether. Problematically, I have no other device capable of browsing the web.
3. Then my nieces chose to visit for a couple days, and I was spending time with them.
4. At the same time, my mom has been recovering from surgery, meaning I’m doing more driving than usual…
5. ...my car wound up needing some heavy repairs…
6. ...and work has frankly become pretty uncomfortable for me, so I’m actively searching for a new job.
With all that said and done, I’ve lost a lot of spare time and a LOT of money. I did replace my computer (and hoo boy is the new computer nice), but as such I’ve realized that I’m going to have to drop out of a few games.
I will be STAYING in this game if you will allow me, but I feel I needed to give an explanation for my absence anyway. I’m about to go to work, so expect a post after I finish.

I gotta apologize. I'm just kinda dealing with my own sense of anxiety and guilt over the boards and my lack of activity, in a really bad way, by disappearing. I need to make decisions and maybe drop a few games, maybe, but not this game. I will try to do better. Especially after driving Braedan off by being a dick to him.
lol. Guilt is a terrible burden, like a snake feeding upon its own tail. And indeed, our reaction is often to feed the very thing that created the guilt in the first place. I can relate. That being said: this is, truth be told, only a game. And it should be fun, therefore stressless. So no worries!
Okay question. If I take control of the grapple next round and keep it into the round after that, may I pick up the guy and throw him into another guy instead of pinning? Kinda like the reposition act I did?
If/when you reverse the grapple, you can pin/move/damage as usual. I would consider throwing the target like a moving him...
I have a spell, Sanctuary, that would allow me to ward Braedan and prevent anyone from attacking him, but it's touch range. Is it possible in the current situation for me to reach him?
