Special Abilities
--------------------
Savage Bite (Ex): At 1st level, a feral gnasher gains a savage bite attack. This is a primary natural attack that deals 1d4 points of damage. If the goblin already has the hard head, big teeth racial trait, the damage increases to 1d6. At 10th level, the damage from a feral gnasher's bite increases to 1d6 (or 1d8 if the goblin has the hard head, big teeth racial trait) and deals ×3 damage on a critical hit. This ability replaces fast movement.

Rage (Ex): A barbarian can call upon inner reserves of strength and ferocity, granting her additional combat prowess. Starting at 1st level, a barbarian can rage for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + her Constitution modifier. At each level after 1st, she can rage for 2 additional rounds. Temporary increases to Constitution, such as those gained from rage and spells like bear's endurance, do not increase the total number of rounds that a barbarian can rage per day. A barbarian can enter rage as a free action. The total number of rounds of rage per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours do not need to be consecutive.

While in rage, a barbarian gains a +4 morale bonus to her Strength and Constitution, as well as a +2 morale bonus on Will saves. In addition, she takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase to Constitution grants the barbarian 2 hit points per Hit Dice, but these disappear when the rage ends and are not lost first like temporary hit points. While in rage, a barbarian cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration.

A barbarian can end her rage as a free action and is fatigued after rage for a number of rounds equal to 2 times the number of rounds spent in the rage. A barbarian cannot enter a new rage while fatigued or exhausted but can otherwise enter rage multiple times during a single encounter or combat. If a barbarian falls unconscious, her rage immediately ends, placing her in peril of death.

Background
"Marrowdown slurps and snacks! Marrowdown burps and cracks! Marrowdown bites! Marrowdown fights! Best warrior of the Licktoad!"

The creature called Marrowdown is a goblin of the Licktoad tribe, of the Brinestump Marsh near Sandpoint. A hideous, vicious little monstrosity, he tends to tear into his foes not with blade or bow, but with the giant, unnatural teeth he seems to have acquired from some strange horror long lost in his family line. He seems to have grown up at the top of his age-group. Getting eaten is a serious threat among goblins, and many little ones went missing during Marrowdown's time in the child-cages. When it was finally time for them to leave the cages, the Licktoad were left with one of the smallest batches of children in their (admittedly short) recollection.

His young adulthood was unremarkable - he was the biggest, the meanest, and the hungriest. He rose to the top. All the normal prerequisites for having power in goblin society. But Marrowdown lacks the cleverness required for power, and the inclination. He stays within the ranks of the Licktoad warriors, content in this position. He gets to kill and hunt and eat without repercussion nor the need to think. A perfect life, in other words.

Marrowdown does have some peculiarities. He is rather unenthused by the others company, and has been known to spend weeks at a time out in the marsh, brooding in the murky water, eyes, ears, and nose the only things appearing over the surface. His mouth is busy underneath, eating the creatures that swim past or towards the goblin; leeches, watersnakes, toads, crawfish. Sometimes he'll stray into the deeper portions of the marsh; this does not usually go well. There are things out there, monstrous as to be indescribable.

But there are also curiosities out there in the marsh, all alone for Marrowdown to find. Broken pieces of old clay things, painted oddities and little glass bits. Once, Marrowdown even found a house. Or rather, what was a house. It was now just a ruin, with only the foundation stones and some portions of the wall still intact. It was here he found the stone dagger that he now keeps at all times on his person. It is also where he found his lucky pet toad, which was a tradition he had previously abstained from. It was there on a shelf, though the first Marrowdown was fully aware of this was when his teeth met the rotted wood, his first instinct being to bite at food. To his irritation, this little toad resisted. He gnawed on it for a while, trying in vain to break its tough skin. Eventually, after much deliberation, he spit it back out into his palm. Fury then took him. The little toad had lied! It was not a toad, but rock! A cleverly shaped toad-rock! He attempted to crush the thing in his hands, and then battered it against the old walls for a while before giving up.

Morose, Marrowdown returned to his spot, and began to eat. He contemplated the toad held before him, still unsure of it. He decided, in punishment, that the toad must become his, having denied him a meal. It was named Stonetongue, and tucked into the strap along with the dagger. It is his constant companion, and Marrowdown is secretly quite proud of it. After all, even the other goblins cannot claim to have met his teeth and lived.

Appearance
Marrowdown is ugly, but not much uglier than most goblins. Beady little yellow eyes, batlike ears, the works. His most noticeable traits are being quite a bit larger than the standard goblin, and a huge maw filled with long, thick, pointy teeth that could almost be seen as small tusks. He's quite lithe, and is surprisingly smart about using his small size and giant teeth to his advantage in combat. Marrowdown wears a raggedy chain shirt pilfered from some small creature killed on the outlying marshland. It reaches down to his knees, and he wears leather pants and a pair of slightly oversized pointed shoes under it. A stone dagger of unusual make lies in a sheath, strapped to a leather band that wraps around his chest. He stands at 3'6ft. and weighs 38lbs.
