"You certainly are, Wagly! That is a most beautiful tiara, befitting the most noble of ladies!"
Min winks.

Gloin is going to spend part of the evening drinking at the inn and then retire to his room in order to catch some spleep in order to be ready for the underground mision
Min you can sell your armor at 50% and buy the armor at book price.
Ozen goes to the warden's office and hands in the ears.
"Seem fresh enough, a few less raiders to worry about then. If your looking for work I have plenty to offer. I have a lot of coin in the budget to spend but a serious lack of manpower. Around half the guards in town are mercenaries right now and two of the five city districts are not patrolled at all currently." says the Marchal.
He gives you the 30 gold for the reward.
I want to make a correction from earlier. It's 5 gold per ear, so 10 gold for each orc killed.
Human
That's fine as long as you don't start throwing one eared orcs at us.
That is interesting I will talk to my compatriots about that they would probably be happy to do it but we have some work already lined up we need to do.
Later in the tavern with the others.
So here is your 5 gold from the bounty and the Marshel might hire up as temporary guardsmen and women. So we have a backup job for after we finish off the hobgoblins. Uh as the ever so interesting sight of Min crow-baring open that chest we are about to head into a trap filled area with no way to remove them besides pushing someone*cough not it* through each. I have been studying the issue and have an idea on how to deal with it but I haven't quite managed to gain a usable amount of talent.
I.e at third level I will max out disable device.

Grumph i'll think about the marshal's offer later when all the current stuff is said and done replied gloin lifting up his mug before taking a sip of it

Admiring his shiny new breastplate, Min comes to rejoin the group.
"What's this about guard duty? I spent many years being a guard, I'd be glad to help, but you are right Gloin, we have already committed to head back underground, eh? Let's get to it, fellers!"
Min will head back towards the Inn for a whiskey, a steak, and to prepare going back underground.
So back into the tunnels then?
Male Human Fighter, 2 | HP: 16/17 | AC: 19/13/16 | Fort: +5 | Ref: + 2 | Will: +2 | Init: +2 | Percept: +2 |
You go back into the tunnels using the entrance beneath the Lonesome Drake you go back into the Underdark.
You reach the lake and you enter the tunnel going north. A small stream of water is running down from this way and into the lake.
You travel three miles in a near straight line without encountering anything and all the way there is that stream of water getting bigger and bigger. You finally arrive at a stone wall with water seeping out from the bottom of it.

"Hmm... how strange. The water must be flowing underneath, yeah? Do you suppose we should swim under? Anyone got a sunrod to shed some light under the water? Firebeard? FIREBEARD? Oh, there ya are buddy! What do your dwarven eyes make of the wall here?"

DM: I just want to make sure we rested for the night before heading down to the tunnel ?
I don't think anyone mentioned rest so I didn't include that. Let me know if you did and I will move my timetable forward accordingly
(?)
Oh yes please, I need a night's rest to recover from all that singing I did. Oh and I'd like to get my tiara afixed to my fez so I can wear both at the same time!
Human Hp 22/29 AC 23 (+8 Perc; +5 Init; Fort +5, Ref +5, Will +6)
yes i figured that we came back late afternoon to the city and it took a few Hours to sell the stuff, and then a night of drinking before setting off in the morning.

So this is the cave system you guys were talking about. Not as weird as I thought it would be. Huh I wonder how high the water is on the other side of the wall.

Human Hp 22/29 AC 23 (+8 Perc; +5 Init; Fort +5, Ref +5, Will +6)
DM would we have to swim in order to go to the other side and how deep / strong does that stream of water looks like?
The water is deep enough that you can swim in in and it does go beneath the wall so you could swim underneath it. As for the rest you have no idea until you actually try it.

"Anyone have a sunrod, or able to cast some light on something for me?"
assuming yes...
Min will heave a heavy sigh and then with a wink at Lilly, begin to take off his armor. Once down to just his pants and boots, he gives an epic flex of his manly muscles, grabs his dagger between his teeth, and then jumps into the water.
Swim: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
take THAT swim check!
(?)
Here, I got sunrods, take one,
I hand him a sun rod and then watch as he drops his armor on the ground
"Oh, do you think his armor would fit me?"I ask Lilly
I struggle to lift the chest piece in the air, then hold it in front of me,
"So How do I look? Wait, what did he just do. Do you think he's coming back? What if he doesn't come back? Bwah wa wa, *sniff* he's got to come back, right?"

(?)
Min, MIN! you're swimming the wrong direction!"
You swim 30 feet just barely making it to the other side of the wall.
(it's 20 feet wide)
Once on the other side you can tell that the tunnel on the other side is completely flooded to the roof and the water goes on as far as you can see.
Male Human Fighter, 2 | HP: 16/17 | AC: 19/13/16 | Fort: +5 | Ref: + 2 | Will: +2 | Init: +2 | Percept: +2 |
Oh, sh!7
Seeing there is no noticeable pocket of air and nowhere to go, Min swims back before he goes farther than he can hold his breathe for.
Off the top of my head, you can hold breathe a number of rounds equal to constitution score (14 in Min's case). Is that correct?
Swim: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Twice you constitution so 28 but every standard action taken while underwater cost 1 additional round. Just swimming is a move so as long as your just swimming you can go for 28 rounds.
Male Human Fighter, 2 | HP: 16/17 | AC: 19/13/16 | Fort: +5 | Ref: + 2 | Will: +2 | Init: +2 | Percept: +2 |
I think it would be in Min's best interest to report that it may be a long swim, before attempting said long swim. What if... he's just never heard from again?

Firebeard can be heard singing softly to himself, "I like t' go swimmin', wit' bowlegged women and swim between their legs..."

(?)
After a long moment of silence, I cross my arms over my chest and say,
”Well, okay, look, here’s my problem. I don’t swim. Oh, I can swim, just that I’m not so good at it, and sure I could have taken that gig dressing up as a mermaid and doing all that underwater dancing at that cove on the east coast, but the water did terrible things to my hair and, well, anyway, forget about that. So, this is what I think. We are either going to have to go back and find another way, or take a measurement of how much rope we have, send our best swimmer with half the rope, and if he or she doesn’t make it, then they can tug on the rope three times and we’ll pull back, and hope everything works out. But, if the swimmer makes it we use the two lengths of rope to pull back and forth to shuttle everyone through as fast as we can. We’ll strip off our gear and pull it through as well, you know with the ropes tied to the packs so we pull them one way, with another rope, then untie the pack, tie the ropes back together and then pull the rope back. Maybe we can make it, maybe we don’t have enough rope, so what are we going to do. I’ve got no rope, so that’s already a problem. How much rope have we got?”
Hadn't realized it had been this long since there was a post. My apologies. I was actually waiting for min to post saying he was going to try and make a swim for it but for the sake of making the story go forward a bit more I will trow you guys a bone.
