5ft away, or adjacent? i have reach so would likely have gotten an AoO unless they were already close last turn, in which i might've used a standard to attack (though not sure i had one). So here is an attack, and if i had an AoO or a spare standard last round, lemme know and this can count as then and i will roll one for this round.

"Well attempting to kill us is not very diplomatic"
Sigvald then attempts another attack at the elf

John looks on, holding his bow. "If you drop your weapons, we won't attack you anymore.
diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
John holds his attack, letting his snake unsummon and says. "Everyone, time to calm down. Let's see if we can talk through this."
Since John is in the front of the Init, I would suggest giving her a chance to stand down before you all attack this round."

EltonJ |

[ooc] Hit from Sigvald.[/occ]
The Amazons look like they are tired themselves, and they throw down their weapons in disgust. Their leader talks. "We wish to only have our idol of Angarradh back," she explains. "We tried everything, even stealing it back from this . . . this man."

John Mandrake |

John moves back a little bit to talk to the merchant that hired them. Says in a low voice. "Do you deal with stolen merchandise, or could you have gotten their idol from another merchant?"

Gormuk Whiteye |

Gormuk eyes the parlay with trepidation. Fihting wasnt suposed to just stop. He will not drop his crossbow but will lower it and let hit rest against a hip with one hand. The other will reach into a sleeve and return with a handfull of berries which he will shove into his mouth and chew toothily.

EltonJ |

John moves back a little bit to talk to the merchant that hired them. Says in a low voice. "Do you deal with stolen merchandise, or could you have gotten their idol from another merchant?"
"All I have," he says, "Is merchandise bound for Sembia. I thought that the idol they want is just an idol. You want me to sell it to them? Can any of you make a copy?"
The elves look hopeful, one of them says, "IF you sell our idol to us, we'll gratefully pay any sort of price."
"Yes, but I need a good copy," the merchant burps after saying that. The caravan is ultimately bound for Sembia.

Sigvald Derleth Waite |

Sigvald relaxes a little, but he still keeps hold of his mace.
"Seems a good compromise, Elves are known for their craftiness"

John Mandrake |

John looks to the elves, "Can you make a copy? A good copy might be a worthy price for a deathless deal, where we can all ride away happily."

John Mandrake |

sense motive: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (7) + 0 = 7
John thinks for a bit, "By going in alone, we have no guarantee that we will receive a copy. You say no "man" is allowed into your village, would you mind a servant of the dark to report back to us, if you plan something untoward against us?"
diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

Mister Bartimaeus |

Mister looks at John,

John Mandrake |

John shrugs. "I want peace and money. The merchant here will gladly trade this idol of yours for a copy. We just need to make sure that it's good.. It's a hard spot for us."
diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Dante Marchioni |

Dante rests his flail upon his shoulder. Smiling, he chuckles, "ladies, we simply seek assurances that all sides of the deal are met. We are, after all, taking your word that the idol is yours at face value. and we were quite readily defeating you before we proposed negotiations to reduce bloodshed. You won't allow one of us men come into your village but something without gender is not a man, so as John has said, what that suffice? As an alternative, one of you could stay here as our... Guest... Until the copy of the idol is returned. What do you say?"

Dante's argument was better. But a 29 is more than good enough.
"Very well, we will take . . . whatever that is as insurance," says the leader. She starts leading the carvan into the forest. "Come on."

Gormuk Whiteye |

Gormuk will see the group begin to head off and shrug, heading back to mount his own horse and get into line. "does any buddy need to have bleeding stopped or limbs removed?" Heavy stops and thinks for a moment. "Safely. Does anyone need. Limb removed safely?".

EltonJ |

it takes a few hours and some rough trekking through the Chondalwood when your guides motion you to stop. You can hear the sounds of children playing in the foreground.
"We are here," the lead Amazon elf says. Wearing nothing but rings on her body, it's a marvel she didn't get as scratched as you have. The amazon then leads Mister Bartimeus through the bush before you.

Mister Bartimaeus |

"I start to follow the Amazon into her secret village. Hope i don't get into too much trouble without master. A secret place must be kept secret and the things i do in there shouldn't get out to the public. I must only report about the Idol and nothing else that happens." This and thoughts like it spread through Mister's brain as he follows the Amazons into their village.

Sigvald Derleth Waite |

"Hopefully we don't run into to much more trouble today"

EltonJ |

So far, the part of the Chondalwood you are in gives a foreboding feeling. As if this part of the forest does not welcome you. Perhaps its the elves, or perhaps it is something else.

Gormuk Whiteye |

Gormuk looks almost pleased when Dante asks for some medical aide. He is about to reach out, when Sigvald does the job for him. Gormuk frowns. "Two healers were hired for this journey? Interesting. What else besides Elves were expected..?" Gormuk looks around suspiciously with his one eye.

Sigvald Derleth Waite |

Sigvald listens to Gormuk and is little bugged out by his one eye
"Huh? True and you even look more the part of the healer, I think i'll leave that to you from now on assist if you ask"

Mister Bartimaeus |

Mister is looking around and thinking to himself.

EltonJ |

still under the weather but I'll post a response.
The forest looks peaceful despite it's forboding atmosphere. Then you hear a cry coming from the right of you. A cry for help.
The leader says, "Just get the copy done, and no, no enchantments. We've found the original."
