Yamyra, while the Knowledge skills are quite useful to have and will prove to be useful as the party progresses in levels, one option you have when you get to higher level is to request the services of a scribe to accompany you. The scribe (whose name is Andel Gesseran) is detailed in the Player's guide. You can go that route to help you with the Knowledge skills if you want to stay on the Summoner path

second thought: The Guide says we can pick him up once we have 20 Fame, is that individual Fame, or total? If individual, about how long would it be likely to take to achieve 20 Fame?
It's not a big thing, but I would appreciate if Carmina's expressions would be left for me to decide. :) I think that "covert" and "observation" are common enough words that they would not cause her to look any more puzzled than normally. After all, she is just stupid, not an idiot. :P
Though it probably would be mostly in-character for Yamyra to treat her like one. :P

OK checking the AP, it looks like each of you will receive 8 Fame and 8 Prestige points for completing each AP module. According to the rules of the PFS, Fame and Prestige points CANNOT be pooled, so I would say one PC has to spend the point to retain his services.
Of course if you complete additional missions, you will gain more Fame and Prestige, he he.

As for Yamyra's 'smartest person in the room' attitude, sadly, I think she actually is the smartest person in the room, at least, if there isn't anyone but the party in the room.
Yes, but comparatively speaking, she also has the lowest Wisdom; especially when you consider the difference between her Wisdom & her other mental abilities. We're talking at least a four point variance between her Wisdom mod & her other mental mods. That's almost the difference between having a score of 10 & having a score of 1.
Which is a big part of why I have been playing her as continually putting a foot wrong in her interactions with others.
Times like this I wish DnD/Pathfinder had a mechanical representation for empathy other than the Sense Motive skill, cause she has empathy, but she can't make reliable snap judgments worth a damn.

Well, Ganer probably should show his wand to the others. After all, Carmina and Yamyra are quite capable at handling it. And Horven would too, if he would just invest a little in it.
By the way, I don't know if it's come up yet, or if Ganer has yet given up the ghost, but he's trying to pass himself off as a cleric of Irori, rather than an Oracle.
It hasn't come up as far as I can remember. (Which is not very far, though.)
Also, I can't think about anything productive we could still do. :P Unless someone wants to go inside, perhaps we could progress towards the midnight? (Did Horven find a good good hiding place, by the way?) And if we do, Carmina will cast Mage Armor at herself around 23:45 or so. Gotta be prepared.
Sorry I've been out for a while folks! RL has been impressively hectic as of late, and I just haven't made it to the internet as much as I'd prefer. Hopefully things will clear up soon!
When either Carmina or Anafa casts mage armor on themselves, Gared would ask that they also cast it on him by using the pearl of power he has on his person.
Just a heads-up. Yamyra & Fancy are still with you & still taking part. Just every time I try writing something it seems to come out really whiney & b#$*$y to me, which is not where I want to go with the character. If things start happening or if someone specifically asks Yamyra or Fancy a question I will post, but for right now I guess just consider that Yamyra is distracted by something please.
Well, considering what Carmina is planning, I think it might even be a good thing if Yamyra is distracted.
Though the more I think about burning the place down, the more sensible it seems...

OK I looked up the Stealth rules and they are silent on whether you can Aid Another. The RAW seem to indicate that is not allowed. However since Yamyra is simply trying to help Fancy hide here, I will allow it. So consider this a House Rule if you will. If Fancy was trying to move silently here, then I would not allow it.
Just a clarification here of my interpretation of the Stealth rules. If anyone finds something different, please let me know.
You know, Fancy sure uses quite fancy words for having only a 7 in intelligence. :P I actually had to confirm via google what "engender" meant. And I like to think that I have an intelligence greater than 6.
True. Mostly I use the alternate vocabulary to emphasize the 'not from around here' of her nature. Much like her speech mannerisms, actually it is a speech mannerism as well.
Sorry for being so absent as of late! I'm working on term papers and studying for finals and things don't seem to be getting much better for another week or so. I will continue to check in and post when I can!

Yes. Ganer does know Light, though, all you have to do is ask.
Oh, Yamyra has an everburning torch if she wants light. Just thinking tactically, if more of us are able to use the lighting to our advantage than them, I see no reason to give that advantage up.
edit: Of course, this assumes it is to our advantage. I haven't seen evidence it isn't however...
I do have my everburning torch out at the moment.
EDIT: I did have it out before we went into hiding, so nevermind.
Speaking of which, I think one of these days Ganer is going to try and see if he can either blind or daze an enemy by casting Light on his mace and then bashing the enemy in the face with it. . .Because that seems like a cool thing to do.

Actually Ganer what you would be looking for is the Blinding ability, which can be put on your armor or shield.

OK the way to interpret the Round tracker is as such:
Round 2: Ganer, Anafa, Fancy, Horven, Carmina, (Gared), "Enemy".
If your name is bolded, then go ahead and take your action. In the above round, since your enemy has acted already, the rest of you can take your actions. Keep in mind Ganer still acts before the others do; it just helps speed things up in combat as combat is what takes the longst in a PbP game.

Completely unrelated note. I just realized I have two active, female characters in PbP whose name starts with a Y sound. Hopefully I will catch it before posting, but if you ever see me make a post about some tart named Ysmerelda, that's why.
Really funny bit, hers is a RotRl AE game, so they are both in Varisia, both have a direct interaction with ancient Thasillonn...
Which brings up another point. DM Eric, are you running this as the previous three 'Varisian' AP's have occurred & were successfull?
