All six doors in this hallway look the same. They have a small window at eye level, blocked by three vertical iron bars. The doors are all locked.
Inside the room Ragnar can see matted straw is strewn across the floor, and a set of manacles hangs affixed to the wall opposite the entrance. Two buckets sit at the center of this dank prison.

A prison. Miro hurries down the hall, throwing open all the barred side doors, looking for their dwarven emissaries.

![]() |

"Are you alright? What happened? Well, we can talk about that part later." He waits for his companions to arrive, hoping to confer on strategy before they exit.

Garret Powers |

Rolling my eyes at Ragnar's comment I say under my breath "Yes, Miro found the dwarves all by himself" Then I slide my crowbar back through my belt and assist the dwarves so we can leave the way we entered and return to our boat.

![]() |

Miro chuckles at Icarus' sarcasm. I'd still be looking for a way to get under a stupid horse, if not for you guys. This has been a great group effort, everybody! Let's get these dwarves clothed and pack them out to the boat. Unless someone has a better idea?"

![]() |

"I believe our mission is to rescue the dwarves without causing any political or diplomatic trouble. We have the dwarves, let's get the hell out of dodge."

![]() |

Miro turns to the dwarf, putting on his friendliest smile. "Venture Captain Ambrus Valsin sent us and many other groups to look for you, good sir. We are all in danger here, are you well enough to travel? Our boat is short distance away."

![]() |

"You can always count on Valsin." she says with a smile. "I think we can follow you to the ship."

"Can anybody carry our unconscious dwarf? I fear I am too small for such a task." Miro looks around for any takers. If no one volunteers, he will try to prod the dwarf awake. If the dwarf is deeply injured, he will burn a cure light to get him/her back up.

![]() |

Miro nods briskly, laying his hands on the unconscious dwarf and casting a spell.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

![]() |

"Let us not delay any longer."
Maeron gestures for Tenderstump to follow and (hopefully) with the party and dwarves in tow makes to backtrack their way out.

![]() |

Miro makes haste after Maeron, making sure the rescued dwarves are all herded towards the exit. "Come on now, no dilly-dallying, we've a ship to catch, people!" He grins at his companions, excitement shining in his eyes. They were almost there!

While most of you get back to the surface, Icarus searches the remaining rooms for evidence or usefull things. Acutally, it's only one room This unremarkable room is bare and featureless, save for a few faint bloodstains on the floor. The eastern door is unlocked.
The rest of you gets back upstairs into the stables and prepare for getting back to the ship. It's already dawning outside.

![]() |

Dorgrin nods in agreement. He follows behind, crossbow in hands, eager to take the dwarves on the boat and to complete the rescue. "I'm afraid there are a welcoming committee waiting for us when we get out" he mutters, looking concerned.

![]() |

Miro chuckles at the dwarf, looking at his crossbow. "And a fine welcome they'll receive from you if so, eh?"
Speed was key now. Keep them moving, hustle to the ship. Once they were on the ship, they were likely in the clear.

Miro will also take a quick look.
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

![]() |

Dorgrin's face brightens a bit when he hears Miro. He proudly pats his crossbow. "It sure is, son. With a good shot, this thing can kill a man over 100 feet."
He then takes a quick look outside as well (I take 10 in stealth and perception for a total of, respectively, 14 and 17)

Outside in the courtyard you can see a woman with four thugs already waiting for you. They got a message from the sisters that there are strangers in their inn and they came to check the prison.
"There you are, we were waiting for you." the woman says. "Give use the dwarves and you are free to go."

![]() |

Maeron shakes his head, responding from the back.
"That isn't going to happen I'm afraid. We promised their safe return and we intend to see it through."
The elf grips his bow tightly, readying to signal Tenderstump into action.

![]() |

Miro shakes his head silently, grim at this unexpected setback. He pulls out his short sword, ushering the freed dwarves behind the group.

![]() |

"You did not find them, you are stealing them! So we take them back! Go and get the dwarves back!" she commands the thugs.

I'm a bit confused, Maeron attacks the red thug, but Tenderstum is in front of the blue thug (attacking the same). So I assume you mean attacking the blue thug?
Maeron and Tenderstump are able to get one of the thugs down in no time. His arm is in a strange position and he's bleeding from his head making a small red puddle on the floor.
The remaining thugs come closer and attack Tenderstump with their crossbows. Seems to be the only visible foe outside the stables
